‘Unrigging the system,’ Trump signs executive orders to lower prescription drug prices

‘Some very rich people are not going to like me very much today,’ Trump says

By Nicholas Ballasy

President Trump said Friday that he’s “unrigging the system” with executive orders aimed at reducing the prices of prescription drugs in the U.S.

One of the executive orders would provide discounted insulin and EpiPens to low-income Americans, which Trump said would bring the cost down to “pennies a day.”

The president explained that community health centers would have to pass the savings they receive on the drugs onto their patients.

Another order would allow “states, wholesalers and pharmacies” to safely import prescription drugs from Canada –a change Trump said the Obama-Biden administration wasn’t able to make

“We’re standing up to the lobbyists and special interests,” the president said in a White House event. “I’m unrigging the system that is many decades old.”

A third order seeks to prevent “middle men and women” from “making a fortune” on drugs for Medicare patients, the president said. The rule would pass on the “billions” that distributors receive on drugs from pharmaceutical companies as a way to reduce the price for patients.

“Some very rich people are not going to like me very much today,” Trump said.

Trump explained that the fourth executive order, if implemented, would target the issue of how the exact same drugs cost more in the U.S. compared to other countries such as Germany. Trump said Medicare would be required to purchase drugs at the same price other countries pay.

False Positives — Wake UP

The CDC admits to mixing together the virus test & antibody test data. 330 state testing sites in Florida got caught misreporting the test data to inflate the numbers. Lots of people report getting positive test reports without taking the test. Add it all together.

reported by Emerald Robinson @Newsmax White House Correspondent

Folks this new surge is a flat out fraud. We are and have been lied to by the CDC and the media and by politicians. I have contacted my Senators and my Congressional Rep., over a week ago, silence. Gov. DeSantis as well, nothing back, silence. Call and email if your state has any surge and find out what they are doing about the false positive test. The only fear I have is of governmental overreach.

U.S. and U.K. accuse Russia of launching new weapon into space By Sophie Mann

Earlier this month, Russia tested an object with the capabilities of targeting satellites in space.

The United States and United Kingdom on Thursday accused Russia of conducting a test on a space-based anti-satellite weapon earlier this month.

U.S. Space Command said it has evidence that Russia conducted a non-destructive test of a space-based anti-satellite weapon on July 15.

The group also said Russia “injected a new object into orbit” from Cosmos 2543, is a satellite that has been in orbit since 2019. It also said the object has the capabilities to target a satellite.

The head of the U.K.’s Space Directorate called on Russia to cease any further testing of this sort, saying that it could “risk causing debris that could pose a threat to satellites and the space systems on which the world depends.”

This marks the first time the United States has accused Russia of testing an “on orbit” weapon, which is a weapon that is based in outer space.

Gen. John W. “Jay” Raymond, commander of U.S. Space Command and U.S. Space Force chief, said that the Russian satellite system used to conduct the test has been of concern for several months.

“This is further evidence of Russia’s continuing efforts to develop and test space-based systems, and consistent with the Kremlin’s published military doctrine to employ weapons that hold US and allied space assets at risk,” Raymond said.

Russian and Chinese anti-satellite weapons were some of the main reasons that led to the creation of the U.S. military branch focused on space – the Space Force – which Raymond now leads.

Poll from 10 Battleground States: Reports of Trump’s Defeat ‘Greatly Exaggerated’

Poll results released Wednesday by American Principles Project (APP) and SPRY Strategies found that President Donald Trump leads Joe Biden in seven of ten battleground states, with a narrow lead in four of them.

According to the poll, Trump is currently leading Biden in Georgia (49-46 percent); Kentucky (60-34 percent); Michigan (50-45 percent); Montana (52-42 percent); North Carolina (49-46 percent); Pennsylvania (48-47 percent); and Texas (49-45 percent)

The results also indicate Biden is leading Trump in Arizona (49-45 percent); Iowa (48-46 percent); and Wisconsin (46-45 percent).

“It is clear from our polling that the reports of President Trump’s impending electoral doom are greatly exaggerated,” said Terry Schilling, executive director at APP, a nonprofit dedicated to the Constitution. He added:

While the Trump campaign still has much work to do in defining Joe Biden as a feckless enabler of the worst elements of the radical left, the fundamentals of this race are encouraging. While Trump currently trails in some battlegrounds, he also leads in several states where many political pundits have already written him off.

According to APP, the ten states were selected based on their “expected competitiveness” in the general election “in either the presidential race, a U.S. Senate race, or both,” said a press release.

The poll yielded the following results in nine U.S. Senate races:

Arizona: Mark Kelly (D) 48% vs. Martha McSally (R) 41%

Georgia: David Perdue (R) 46% vs. Jon Ossoff (D) 44%

Georgia: (Special): Doug Collins (R) 29%, Matt Lieberman (D) 23%, Kelly Loeffler (R) 19%, Ed Tarver (D) 9%

Iowa: Theresa Greenfield (D) 45%, Joni Ernst (R) 43%

Kentucky: Mitch McConnell (R) 55%, Amy McGrath (D) 33

Michigan: Gary Peters (D) 47%, John James (R) 37%

Montana: Steve Daines (R) 47%, Steve Bullock (D) 44%

North Carolina: Cal Cunningham (D) 40%, Thom Tillis (R) 40%

Texas: John Cornyn (R) 47%, M.J. Hegar (D) 37%

A survey also asked participants about issues such as Black Lives Matter, removing statues and monuments, transgender athletes and medical interventions, online pornography, and Big Tech’s suppression of free speech. Links are provided above to each state’s results.

On hot-button issues, the survey results were also very interesting. Black Lives Matter is very popular, until voters learn what Black Lives Matter actually supports — then it becomes very unpopular. Voters hate the idea of biological males competing against female athletes in women’s sports. They strongly oppose minors being subjected to sex changes or gender conversion therapy. They want to protect kids from online pornography, and they want Big Tech companies to allow free speech and free expression on their platforms. BREITBART NEWS written by Dr. Susan Berry

China is our most dangerous threat,’ Sen. Cruz warns in Senate floor speech

“The Chinese Communists are murdering, lying, torturing tyrants,” the Texas Republican said.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, warned Wednesday that China represents the chief threat currently confronting the United States, calling Chinese communists “murdering, lying, torturing tyrants.”

“The overwhelming challenge for this body and this country for the next century going forward is how we stand up to the threat of China. China is waging a thousand year war. And for the sake, not only of Americans, but for the sake of the free world, America needs to win this contest,” Cruz declared in a Senate floor speech.

“The coronavirus pandemic has thrown into high relief the fact that China is our most dangerous threat,” he added.

The China hawk and former presidential candidate pleaded to lessen U.S. dependence on Beijing and blasted American businesses for compromising while pursuing profits from China.

“Big business, giant corporations, the media, Hollywood, all are terrified to take on Communist China. All see the billions they can earn from access to the Chinese markets as more important than free speech,” Cruz said.

HHS Acts to Preserve Religious Freedom at Hospitals During Pandemic

Virginia Allen @Virginia_Allen5

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services took two important steps Tuesday to protect religious freedom during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agency’s Office for Civil Rights announced that patients at hospitals within the University of Maryland Medical System may receive visits by clergy amid the pandemic.

And, the office said, a medical student at Staten Island University Hospital in New York City may follow his religious belief by not shaving his beard despite having to wear a mask.

“We can protect people’s physical safety and their spiritual and emotional well-being at the same time,” Roger Severino, director of the HHS Office for Civil Rights, said on a conference call with reporters Tuesday afternoon. “Those two things are not in tension and when we protect both, we actually protect the mental health as well as the physical health.”

Religious liberty doesn’t cease to be a fundamental human right during a pandemic,” Ryan T. Anderson, a research fellow specializing in religious liberty at The Heritage Foundation, said in an email to The Daily Signal. “As these HHS resolutions demonstrate, we can combat COVID-19 and respect religious liberty.”
