Beijing Threatens Retaliation for US Plans to Sanction Officials Who Erode Hong Kong’s Freedoms

Beijing on July 1 defended its controversial national security law for Hong Kong and slammed the United States for its potential sanctions against Chinese officials.

Zhang Xiaoming, deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office—Beijing’s top agency for handling those territories’ policies—said at a press conference that countries that wanted to sanction Chinese officials were thinking in “the logic of robbers.”

The U.S. Statement Department announced last week that it will impose visa restrictions on Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials involved in eroding Hong Kong’s autonomy and freedoms. State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said on Twitter that the visa restrictions will also target CCP officials behind the national security law.

Fighting Back –Do Something

Is anyone else disgusted by the recent turn of events?  I have sat patiently by and tried to be silent.   I have also tried to not say anything to make matters worse on social media.  Maybe it’s time for some truth serum.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization and Antifa is a wanna be terror group.  No group or political entity has the right to destroy.  Peaceful demonstrations are one thing, destruction is another.

It is time to stand up and stop this madness.  I sense a turn in the country from what I see and read, normal law abiding citizens are tired of it all.  Democrats think this is a winning issue for them, but how can anyone in Middle America condone this or vote for this.  Republicans get off you bottom and stand up for our country.  You do what you always do, hide!!  The main stream of the Republican Party is a bunch of soy boy sissies.

I want my country back.  I may not like all Trump does, but I know he is a fighter who loves this country.  Congress, not so sure, they follow the money.

Cotton Statement on China Imposing National Security Law on Hong Kong

China is not our friend and we can thank numerous past Presidents and Congress who enabled China for years.  President Trump is right to be hard on the communist regime.  From crackdowns in Hong Kong, to silence and denial on the Wuhan virus and constant harassment of  Christians in China which include confiscation of private property and imprisonment.  Human rights is a joke.  We need a tough policy on China.  Below is a tweet from Sen. Tom Cotton, he is one of the good guys!

Washington, D.C. – Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement after China passed a national security law for Hong Kong:

“Xi Jinping and his Communist thugs must face severe consequences for crushing Hong Kong’s freedoms. The House of Representatives should pass the Hong Kong Autonomy Act to impose punishing sanctions on Chinese Communist Party officials. The administration should consider all options at its disposal to deny Beijing the benefits of Hong Kong’s special financial and economic status. We cannot ignore China’s draconian actions.”

Hawley Wants Religious Conservatives to Get More Say in Trump’s New Supreme Court List

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) urged President Donald Trump to revamp his process of selecting Supreme Court nominees after warning that some conservative voters have expressed deep disappointment with recent decisions by some of the president’s judicial picks.

Hawley told Politico in an interview that religious conservatives are now “very depressed” following the Supreme Court’s recent run of left-leaning rulings, with the GOP senator singling out a June 15 high court decision expanding the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s ban on sex discrimination in hiring beyond biologically-determined sex, to also cover sexual orientation and gender identity.

The 6–3 decision by the Supreme Court in the Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia case (pdf) carried an additional cultural charge because it was written by Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump pick. Conservatives widely objected to the ruling, leading some to question their support for Trump, who has made the confirmation of 200 federal judges, including two Supreme Court justices, a big part of his reelection platform, in line with the Republican goal of filling every appeals court opening by the end of the year.

“The whole point of the Federalist Society judicial project, the whole point of electing Trump to implement it, was to deliver Supreme Court victories to social conservatives,” Varad Mehta, a conservative writer, wrote in a tweet following the ruling. “If they can’t deliver anything that basic, there’s no point for either. The damage is incalculable.”

2A is Mandatory

Looking at the world realistically, the second amendment may be the only thing standing between us and tyranny.  I was never one to even think that in this country I would need a concealed carry permit.  But that has all changed now.  Not out of fear, but for simple protection.  I was raised in a small farming community, where guns and hunting were common.  Gun racks in the back of pick up trucks were common, but safety and respect were just as common.  Now in this world with crazy anarchist roaming parts of the country…..

Get a gun and learn how to use it for your protection!

Man our founding Fathers were truly brilliant.

British police treating deadly mass stabbing as a terror attack

A mass stabbing that killed three and injured others at a suburban London park is being treated as a terrorist attack, British police announced Sunday.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon, Britain’s national coordinator for counterterrorism policing, has determined the Saturday night attack in the town of Reading was a terrorist incident, and Thames Valley Police are turning over the case to counterterrorism investigators, officials said.

A 25-year-old man arrested at the scene is believed to be the lone perpetrator, police said. The suspect is a Libyan national who sought asylum in Britain, according to multiple reports in British media.

Welcome to America’s Cultural Revolution

We’re in the dawn of a high-tech, bloodless cultural revolution, one that relies on intimidation, public shaming, and economic ruin to dictate what words and ideas are permissible in the public square.

“Words are violence” has always been an illiberal notion meant to stifle speech and open discourse. Popularized by a generation of coddled and brittle college students, it now guides policy on editorial pages at newspapers such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Times, and most major news outlets.

The Times can claim that a harsh tone and a small factual error in Sen. Tom Cotton’s recent op-ed was the reason the entire paper had a meltdown, but the staffers who revolted initially claimed that Cotton’s argument for bringing the National Guard into cities put black lives in “danger.”

None of the Times’ editors, all of whom are apparently comfortable with running fabulist histories or odes to communist tyrannies, pushed back against the caustic notion that engaging in debate was an act of violence. They bowed to the internal mob and pleaded for forgiveness.  Taken in part from a  Commentary  by David Harsanyi—The Daily Signal

It’s a Spirit

So my wife and I decided we would drive up to St. Augustine for a couple of days next week.  Decided we better make sure all the attractions were open for business.  Most were, but the one main thing we wanted to do was take an open air trolley to experience the downtown district.  It’s open, but you have to wear a MASK.  Are you kidding me?  No way I give my hard earned money to a bunch of fear mongers.  When something happens and it make no sense, such as wearing a mask in the open air, it’s a spirit.  We are eat up with fear today.  I am so glad I am old.  I lived my life, I didn’t walk around waiting to be scared or triggered.  God help this soy-boy nation raised with participation trophies.

I was raised barefoot walking in a barnyard, riding barefoot in the back of a truck, drinking from a garden hose, not wearing a seat belt in a car.  I survived but not sure about the soy-boys.  Civilization might end in the near future, at least one you would want to live in.

Sen. Hawley Blasts Supreme Court’s Bostock Decision, Urges Religious Conservatives to Reject Establishment GOP Deal

In a ringing 13-minute denunciation of the Supreme Court’s Bostock sex discrimination decision, the youngest man in the U.S. Senate urged America’s religious conservatives to demand a new “bargain” from Republican leaders as a condition for their future support.

“If this case makes anything clear, it is that the bargain that has been offered to religious conservatives for years now is a bad one, it’s time to reject it,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) declared on the Senate floor June 16.

“The bargain has never been explicitly articulated, but religious conservatives know what it is,” Hawley said. “The bargain is you go along with the party establishment, you support their policies and priorities, or just keep your mouth shut about it, and in return, the establishment will put some judges on the bench who supposedly will protect your constitutional rights to freedom of worship, to freedom of exercise.

“That’s what we’ve been told for years now, and we were told that we’re supposed to shut up while the party establishment focuses more on cutting taxes and handing out favors for corporations, multinational corporations who don’t share our values, who will not stand up for American principles, who are only too happy to ship American jobs overseas.

“But we’re supposed to say nothing about that, we’re supposed to keep our mouths shut, because maybe we’ll get a judge out of the deal.”

Hawley’s ire was sparked by the high court’s June 15 decision in the Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia case in which by a 6–3 vote, the justices said the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s bar against sex discrimination in hiring isn’t limited to biologically determined sex but also covers sexual orientation and gender identity (including gender change).

Social Policing

So does Midnight basketball ring a bell?  Not sure if anyone is old enough to remember Bill Clinton’s grand scheme to redo the police departments and make cops social workers.  I can still hear him in his famous aw shucks voice telling us the virtues of finding something constructive for the you men to do.  Come to find our it was basically a way to funnel money to democratic causes.  Didn’t stop crime, didn’t really make a difference.  Typical liberal, he tried and for that he was a folk hero.

I am beginning to wonder who is advising the President? Yeah there are bad cops, but 99% or more I think are selfless honorable men and women.  I can not imagine how it would feel to have someone spit in my face or yell obscenities at me, or try to wrestle me down and take my gun.  Would I overreact?  Probably.  The problem is respect for the authority of the Police.  Tough and thankless job.  I honor you for your service.

God protect our protect those who  protecct us.
