Arizona rancher will not be retried for murder following hung jury in deadly shooting of illegal alien: ‘Nightmare is over’

The elderly Arizona rancher whose murder trial recently resulted in a hung jury will not be retried, prosecutors said.

In January 2023, 48-year-old Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea, a Mexican national who had been deported from the U.S. multiple times after he crossed the border illegally, was found shot to death on the property of 75-year-old George Alan Kelly. Kelly owns 170 acres of land near Nogales, Arizona, which is across the border from Nogales, Mexico. 

Kelly was the person who found Cuen-Buitimea’s body and called police to report it. Kelly admitted to firing several warning shots into the air earlier that day after he spotted a group of men armed with AK-47s invading his property but insisted that none of the warning shots could have possibly hit anyone, Daniel Horowitz, host of “Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz,” reported shortly after Kelly’s arrest.

Kelly was ultimately charged with second-degree murder. He had previously refused a plea deal that would have convicted him of one count of negligent homicide.

At Kelly’s trial earlier this month, his attorney, Brenna Larkin, noted that the bullet which killed Cuen-Buitimea was never recovered and argued that Cuen-Buitimea’s unzipped backpack and broken buckle suggested that he had been the victim of robbery gone wrong, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

Most jurors seem to have been persuaded by Kelly’s defense. After two days of deliberations, they could not come to a unanimous decision in the case, and on April 22, Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Fink officially declared a mistrial. Of the five men and three women on the jury, seven had voted to acquit, leaving “one, lone holdout” voting to convict, a statement from Kelly’s defense team said.

Outside the courthouse, Kelly told reporters the “nightmare is over” and expressed condolences to Cuen-Buitimea’s loved ones.

IDF withdraws all troops from southern Gaza

Only one brigade remains in the Strip; terrorists in Khan Yunis fire rocket barrage at Israeli towns.

The Israel Defense Forces has withdrawn all ground troops from the southern Gaza Strip, with only one brigade remaining in the coastal enclave, according to reports on Sunday.

This comes after four months of fighting in the former Hamas stronghold of Khan Yunis and six months since the start of the war.

According to IDF sources on Sunday, the IDF’s 98th Division has concluded its mission in Khan Yunis. The division left the Gaza Strip to recuperate and prepare for future operations. A significant force led by the 162nd Division and the division’s Nahal Brigade continues to operate in the Gaza Strip, and will preserve the IDF’s freedom of action and its ability to conduct precise intelligence-based operations, the sources said.

The move also comes after last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again reiterated that the IDF would defeat Hamas by entering the last terrorist stronghold of Rafah, south of Khan Yunis.

“There is no victory without entering Rafah; there is no victory without destroying the Hamas battalions there,” said Netanyahu in a primetime address, adding that the operation “will take time, but it will happen.”

A global government body has told nations it is “imperative” that they “counteract conservative opposition” and “enact progressive laws” that legalize prostitution and intentionally infect people with AIDS. At the same time, the international body has indicated it plans to roll out guidelines normalizing transgender cross-sex hormone injections worldwide.

The World Health Organization (WHO) ushered in 2024 with a bulletin titled “Advancing the ‘sexual’ in sexual and reproductive health and rights: a global health, gender equality and human rights imperative,” co-written by WHO’s director-general, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, a former associate of Ethiopia’s repressive Marxist government.

“Political leaders at all levels must champion sexual health as part of sexual and reproductive health to counteract conservative opposition,” states the WHO Bulletin released on January 1. “Policy-makers must enact progressive laws and policies to expand access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services,” it says.

“Countries must repeal laws that criminalize homosexuality, sex work and HIV transmission,” the bulletin advises. Ghebreyesus calls on world leaders to “foster societies where all people can experience their sexuality safely, positively,” couching the advancement of the Sexual Revolution as a moral imperative.

IMO – Just remember folks this is the group under the United Nations that could well be in charge of world health policies in a few months. Even here in the states our pretend president has signed over American sovereignty to WHO. (At least for the time being.). The WHO is already speculating on a new virus call “X” that will kill millions. Interesting that they already know it is coming.
