The Signals Are All Pointing In The Same Direction: Victor Davis Hanson

Victor Davis Hanson has spent fifty years studying how wars end. When he says the tide is turning, it’s worth listening to why.

His argument isn’t based on what the Pentagon is saying. It’s based on how everyone else is behaving.

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€. VDH’s rule: Europeans never agree to go anywhere near a conflict unless they think the winning side has already been determined. They didn’t help in the early days. Now they’re starting to move. That movement is not idealism. It’s a calculation. They’ve looked at the battlefield and decided which way this ends.

The Saudis, the Emiratis, the Qataris โ€” these governments have survived for generations by reading the regional climate with precision. When they expel Iranian military attachรฉs, when they intercept Iranian missiles over their own capitals and say nothing about American strikes, when the UAE reaffirms its $1.4 trillion investment commitment to the United States mid-war โ€” they are not making ideological statements. They are placing bets. And they are betting on the United States.

๐—”๐—น ๐—๐—ฎ๐˜‡๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ. This is the one that should stop you cold. Al Jazeera โ€” the Qatari state media network, historically critical of American military action, the network Tucker Carlson and the anti-war right love to cite against Israel โ€” is now calling the U.S. bombing campaign brilliant and effective, and saying it has been underestimated. When the media outlet of a nation that hosts both the largest American air base in the Middle East and a Hamas political office starts praising American military effectiveness, the message is unmistakable: ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜บ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ’๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜จ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ.

VDH’s point: you only deploy those aircraft when there is effectively no air defense left to threaten them. They are slow, low-flying, close-support platforms. Their presence confirms what the Pentagon has been claiming โ€” Iran has no meaningful air defense remaining.

Iran’s strategy now is rope-a-dope. Run out the clock. Wait for American public opinion to shift. Hope the midterms create political pressure on Trump to stop. It is the only play they have left.

VDH’s conclusion: if Trump sees it through โ€” and he believes he will โ€” the regime falls. Not in years. ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜๐˜† ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ป.

Updates and Analysis: MAGA – Iran- Hormuz

Below are a couple of posts of interest to me at least, hope you enjoy them. Both are accredited, and also a repost from Amir Tsarfati. Hormuz must be stabilized to keep the objectives of this military action on track. Extremely high gas prices are most likely the only thing that will derail final and completed objectives. The MIddle East is changing and so also the world pecking order. America is back in dominance, as it should be. God Bless America, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Tucker Carlsonโ€™s Failure โ€” Trumpโ€™s Knockout

Various interesting polls point to a clear trend:

A. There is no โ€œsplitโ€ within the MAGA camp โ€” on the contrary, there is an almost Soviet-level consensus around Trump and his decision to strike Iran.

B. The war in Iran is not hurting Republicans ahead of the midterm elections โ€” it is actually strengthening them.

Here are the data (to be detailed in follow-up posts):

1. NBC poll: One hundred percent support among MAGA supporters for Trump. Yes โ€” 100%. This figure was also echoed by CNN.

In other words, two networks highly hostile to Trump present a president who has complete control over his base.

The share of people identifying with MAGA has also grown since the election.

2. Republican poll (New York Post): Who do you identify with โ€” Trump or Carlson and Megyn Kelly?

The result is decisive: Trump 84%, Carlson and Kelly 6%.

It turns out that clicks and Spotify listens do not necessarily translate into real influence among the public.

Ironically, a phenomenon similar to traditional media in recent years is emerging: a loud and vocal minority holds the microphone and claims to speak for a silent majority that actually rejects it.

This frustration is causing Tucker and his circle to lose composure and drift away from the MAGA โ€œmothershipโ€ toward the more fringe territories of the far left and pro-jihadist narratives.

The current investigation into Kentโ€™s leaks to Carlson may become the official break between Carlson and the Republican Party.

3. YouGovโ€“Economist poll on the November midterms (the most important issue in U.S. politics):

Since the start of the war, Republicans have narrowed the gap with Democrats in the race for control of the House โ€” from a 7-point Democratic lead in mid-February to just 2 points in mid-March.

Earlier this month, I referenced a Harvard/Harris poll conducted before the war that showed a tie.

Democrats still lead in betting markets and most polls, but the trend is favorable for Republicans.

As noted recently, Republicans have only upside potential โ€” historically, since World War II, only once has a second-term president managed to keep his partyโ€™s majority in the House (Clinton and the Democrats in 1998).

If Trump becomes the second, it would be a phenomenal achievement for him and the Republican Party.

4. Finally (not a poll): The major unknown is Vice President J.D. Vance, who is closely tied to Carlson and issued a very lukewarm statement regarding Kentโ€™s resignation.

His public profile during the current war with Iran has been relatively low, and it is not at all certain that he supports the campaign.

Recently, he has lost some ground in the (so far quiet) race between him and Marco Rubio to become Trumpโ€™s successor for 2028.

It is far too early to write off Vanceโ€™s chances of becoming the Republican nominee in two and a half years, but his political trajectory will likely indicate the direction the Republican Party will take in the coming years.

(Gilad Zwick on X)

Vance is the big loser for now, I just donโ€™t trust him. He came late to the MAGA party. First time he voted republican was for himself in the Ohio senate race. Seems to be a carpetbagger and far too close to the woke right and the Anti-Israel sentiment. Rh

American retaliation – strategic shift

Financial Times reports a major U.S. pivot:

โ€ข Air-defense systems and ammunition redirected from Europe to the Middle East

โ€ข Focus shifting fully toward confrontation with Iran

On the ground

โ€ข Deliveries to Europe – especially Patriot interceptors – expected to be delayed

โ€ข Systems already moved from Europe to protect U.S. forces and allies in the region

โ€ข U.S. deprioritizing Russiaโ€“Ukraine track – signaling full attention on Iran

Europe reacts

โ€ข Anger and concern – described as a โ€œdisasterโ€

โ€ข Accelerating independence from U.S. arms supply

โ€ข France taking its own path – deploying forces to the region

Middle East implications

โ€ข Stronger U.S. deterrence posture

โ€ข Shortages creating competition for air-defense systems

โ€ข Rising risk of escalation with Iran

โ€ข Gulf states reassessing alliances

Bottom line

โ€ข The Middle East is now Washingtonโ€™s top priority

โ€ข Europe is sidelined

โ€ข The global balance is shifting

(Nziv .net)

Final thought, Europe may be the big loser, not supporting the US when they are far more dependent on oil than us. Typical, we save them and they turn their backs on us. Open borders and government overreach has defeated the once great British Empire, they should change their symbol from the lion to a kitty. France is just France, as long as they have their mistresses and their over priced wine, they are good. Rh

News Update On Iran Conflict

President Trump says he’s hearing that Iran Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is DEAD, and that Iran desperately wants a ceasefire deal.  โ€œIโ€™m hearing heโ€™s not alive, and if he is, he should do something very smart for his country, and thatโ€™s surrender!”

โ€œIran wants to make a deal, and I donโ€™t want to make it because the terms arenโ€™t good enough yet,โ€ Trump told NBC

On the Strait of Hormuz: โ€œWeโ€™re going to be sweeping the strait very strongly, and we believe weโ€™ll be joined by other countries who are somewhat impeded, and in some cases impeded from getting the oil.” (More on this in a later post).  IMO  Marines are on the way to the Middle East, could Kharg Island just 30-40 miles from the Strait Of Hormuz be a logical landing place to protect oil production facilities in an effort to stabilize world oil prices?? Rh

On Khamenei: โ€œI donโ€™t know if heโ€™s even alive. So far, nobodyโ€™s been able to show him.”

American nuclear bombers are carrying out a devastating and extremely heavy bombardment of Isfahan, Iran, and the entire city is shaking from the impact of the heavy bombs.

Heavy airstrikes targeted the terrorist positions of the Islamic Republic in the area of Golestan-e Shohada and the Army Aviation Corps Isfahan.  This is the area where it is thought some high grade nuclear material was taken for later use.  The US & Israel will need to do something about getting that material.  It will most likely be a boots on the ground scenario.  That may be why it is still intact.  Rh

The air superiority of America and Israel in the skies of Iran has reached such a level that fighter/bomber aircraft are operating at low altitude and right above the target.

Tonight: Maximum security preparations are underway for the Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Iranโ€™s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has threatened to target the event with terrorist attacks or sabotage. IMO Probably a good majority of those attending are Pro Palestinian, and are against the military action against Iran. Of course itโ€™s Trumpโ€™s fault, he should stand down to let Iran have their nuclear capabilities.  Important point, you may stand with them, but they will still kill you for that is who they are.  Wise up libs! Rh

President Trump warned:

โ€œAny harm to U.S. citizens will result in the immediate elimination of the remaining Iranian leadership.โ€

IDF: The IDF completed a wave of strikes targeting Iranian regime headquarters in Hamedan, western Iran

Earlier today (Sunday), the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, completed a wave of strikes targeting the Iranian terror regimeโ€™s infrastructure in the area of Hamedan, western Iran.

The IDF struck several key headquarters belonging to the IRGC and the Basij Forces. These headquarters served the regimeโ€™s bodies to manage the ongoing activities and to advance terror attacks against the State of Israel and additional countries across the Middle East.

The IDF is currently expanding the scope of its strikes against the infrastructure of the Iranian regime in additional areas in western and central Iran, with the aim of broadly and systematically degrading the regimeโ€™s command-and-control capabilities.

The completed strikes are part of an ongoing effort focused on deepening the damage to the core operational systems and foundations of the Iranian regime.

David Brody on X:

Attention Tucker Carlson: this week Senator Ted Cruz told me he thinks you should be investigated for ties to foreign countries. Good luck. Looks like youโ€™re gonna need it.

Following is from Amir Tsarfati telegram page. I trust him and his sources.

Hereโ€™s what appears to be happening:

1. Tucker Carlson has allegedly been conducting his own foreign policy with Iran on behalf of the United States.

2. At some point, the CIA got wind of this and informed President Trump, who may then have used Tucker as an unwitting counterintelligence asset to feed faulty information to Iran. (BASED.)

3. Following the launch of Epic Fury, Tuckerโ€™s traitorous behavior may have finally caught up with him, as DOJ reportedly prepares a criminal complaint against him based on CIA intelligence.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Bonus Round: An Example of Tucker Likely Parroting Iranian Regime Propaganda ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท

4. After the operation began, Iran sent IRGC agents to carry out attacks in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, but those plots were foiled.

5. Iran then told Tucker these were actually Mossad plots โ€” a claim he pushed online and that spread like wildfire.

6. Saudi and Qatar had to publicly deny Tucker’s fake news about the Mossad.

Who is the Iranian Islamic Republic’s ayatollah, Mojtaba Khamenei?

Mojtaba is the second son of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was eliminated in an Israeli strike at the start of Operation Roaring Lion; He is considered more extreme than his father

Well thatโ€™s not good news, someone more extreme than Khamenei.  It seems he might be responsible for the crackdown when protests began in January. Doesnโ€™t bode well for regime change which is the priority, IMO.  But  you will get what you get in an Islamist republic. Rh

Mojtaba Khamenei was officially chosen Sunday evening as the Supreme Leader of Iran, according to state media. Mojtaba is the second son of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an Israeli strike at the start of Operation “Lion’s Roar.”

A decision on the matter was supposed to be published last week, but was apparently postponed due to concerns he would be assassinated. Those responsible for the decision to choose Mojtaba are the Assembly of Experts, which Israel attempted to strike last week โ€” 88 clerics who have the authority to determine the identity of the next leader.

Nevertheless, among the current leadership in Iran there are also opponents. The most prominent of them is Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

In 2004, Mojtaba married Zahra, and in 2007 their first child was born. According to reports, he was forced to seek fertility treatment abroad, and earlier this week it was reported in Iran that his son and wife were killed in an attack alongside the former Supreme Leader and his wife.

He studied in religious institutions in the city of Qom and received approval as a cleric. He is close to the Revolutionary Guards and established his connections with those who would later become high-ranking members of the organization during the Iran-Iraq War. His wife and one of his children were killed in the opening strike of Operation Roaring Lion.

In recent weeks, claims have been made in Iran that Mojtaba played a significant role in suppressing the protests in January, coordinating actions with the Revolutionary Guards. If the regime maintains its current hierarchy, it is expected to make the country even more conservative, and is also likely to promote the election of conservative allies to key positions in the country, just as he promoted former Iranian President Ahmadinejad to his role.  I 24 Israeli News

Latest Update: Mojtaba has a broken leg and some type of eye injury and is the hospital. Maybe he is just scared about elimination. Hospital is a good place to hide. Rh

Pass The Save Act

Sen. Thune, itโ€™s time to clean out your office! Trump call him and tell him โ€œyouโ€™re fired!!โ€

Following the unprecedented election in 2016 of Trump, the deep state pulled out all the stops. Outgoing President Obama decided to push the intelligence networks to dig up dirt on Trump. It didnโ€™t matter if it was true or not. It wasnโ€™t. Manufactured evidence almost took Trump down along with several of his friends and appointees who were slandered. Evidence is now out and there should be arrests. Donโ€™t hold your breath, but Obama should be the first perp walked.

In 2020, with a vigorous and popular Trump running against a feeble Biden the Deep State had to do something to ensure Trump lost. That was all solved with the covid scam and mail in ballots that were not verified and dropped off days and weeks later. The fix was in, voting stopped as Trump lead in several toss up states. Later we find that the Dominion voting systems helped change votes, and added votes for Biden. The election was stolen. Again evidence has been found, and our elections will never be the same.

However now we have the opportunity to fix at least a part of the problem with the SAVE ACT. The house has passed, but the Senate lead by worthless John Thune and aided by the octogenarian and Biden lookalike Mitch (China) McConnell, it hasnโ€™t even been brought to the floor for a vote. Thune is bought and paid for. He is dirty. Case closed, and all the other so-called Republicans who will not vote in favor of election integrity. Millions must be flowing to these dirty politicians from somewhere. But where? The DOJ must get to the bottom of the election issue here in America, without free and fair election, our country is lost.

Call the wayward Senators, especially Thruneโ€™s office and demand action. Wonโ€™t do any good, but it will make you feel better to yell at someone. It did me. Maybe not yell, but forceable language is the order of the day.

United States Military Might

As a member of the Republican Party, more out of the lesser of two evils, I believe in America first.  Up to a point.  I am a Christian conservative who understands that in this world America canโ€™t just stick its head in the sand.  We need a powerful military and we also need to put our finger on the scales of injustice.  I support military action against Iran.  Western democracies and Jimmy Carter in his weakness allowed the radicals to come to power.  Each succeeding President, with exception of Reagan, who had other fish to fry, were also responsible.

Iran has a large Christian community inside the country, and this uprising was a call for freedom and self determination. President Trump encouraged the demonstrations and now itโ€™s time to act.  I expect it will go as well as the quick intervention in Venezuela.  The world needs a strong hand and a determined vision, whether we like it or not we are the conscience of the world.

Below is a post from Amir Tsarfatiโ€™s Telegram page. Interesting read.  God bless America and I pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

The showdown with Iran is not only about Tehran.

It is a live demonstration.

The massive force buildup – carrier strike groups – bomber rotations – layered missile defenses – sustained logistics air bridges – all serve a broader purpose.

Iran is the operational arena.

China is the strategic audience.

Beijing is watching:

โ€ข   How fast the U.S. can mass power

โ€ข   How long it can sustain deployments

โ€ข   Whether alliances hold under pressure

โ€ข   Whether it can operate in multiple theaters simultaneously

This is deterrence by demonstration.

If Washington can project overwhelming force in the Middle East while maintaining Indo-Pacific readiness, it reinforces American dominance in the 21st century.

The message is not rhetorical. It is kinetic.

And it is being delivered in real time.

Unicorns and Fairies (Real Estate Agent Attempts to Broker Deal With Iran):

Witkoff on Iran: The president is curious as to why — I donโ€™t want to use the word capitulated but why they haven’t capitulated. Why under this pressure with the amount of naval power over there, why they haven’t come to us and said we profess we don’t want a weaponโ€ฆ

Cโ€™mon Trump, sending what amounts to a used car salesman to broker peace with the most devious and strategic outlaw country in the Middle East?  What ya thinking man.  Please explain how anyone can expect anything good to come from this so called โ€œnegotiationsโ€.  When you go into talks with Iran telling everyone who will listen that they will not stop nuclear enrichment and will not do away with their missiles, then we can expect no deal.  At least not one that Trump himself has said must include both.

Iranians are master negotiators, they understand the gullibility of the western diplomats and politicians.  Iran always plays the delay and waiting game.  They are content to live to fight another day, whereas the western mindset is to accomplish today for their campaign sound bite.

It has been somewhere around 9 weeks since Trump made his famous, โ€œhelp is on the way,โ€ declaration.  Sad to say we need to either make the regime change, which is the only way to bring some stability to the region, or make a bad deal and walk away.  Note to America First disciples, who want a hands off approach to all things outside our borders, if we do that I can almost guarantee a regional war in the next few months.  Bad deals canโ€™t be enforced and we have tried that scenario many times.  Over and over again!

Iran has struck a deal with Russia to purchase thousands of shoulder-launched air defense missiles in exchange for half a billion euros. (Per Financial Times)

Speaking of hard to enforce deals, Gaza is a good example, and brokered by Witkoff.

โ€œOur position on international forces is clear: we want peacekeeping forces that monitor the ceasefire, ensure its implementation, and act as a buffer between the occupation army and our people in the Gaza Strip, without interfering in Gazaโ€™s internal affairs,โ€ Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem told AFP.

Hamas and Israel have continued to trade attacks along the Strip despite the tenuous cease-fire, with the terror group committing daily violations of the truceโ€ฆ

โ€œWe see them test our troops. We see them carrying out attacks every week โ€ฆ [Hamas] has injured and killed soldiers since the ceasefire began,โ€ IDF Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani told The Post. New York Post

A Message from Amir Tsarfati: my humble opinion, Special Envoy Witkoff caused significant damage to the war effort by telling Fox News that the President is kind of frustrated and even surprised that the Iranians are not capitulating.

Those words echoed loudly across the Middle East – and they were received as a signal of weakness and ignorance.

Weakness – because a massive military buildup impresses no one if there is no clear willingness to use it.

Ignorance – because this regime will never surrender its โ€œinsurance policyโ€ – namely its nuclear program, its ballistic missile arsenal, and its regional proxies – if it believes the ultimate objective is to topple it anyway.

Right now, many in the region view President Trump as someone who may have miscalculated the situation – projecting a โ€œMaduro effectโ€ onto Iran as though the two cases are comparable. They are not.

In my opinion, the President must now be firm – and if a strike is required, it must be decisive and unmistakable.

It must be carried out in such a way that every enemy of the United States understands clearly – America does not posture – it acts.

Deterrence in this region is not built on rhetoric – it is built on demonstrated resolve.

If the objective is to prevent a wider war and restore credibility, then the message must be unmistakable – do not test the United States.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto those who call evil good, and good evil.

Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness,

Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

Such are the days we live in. Maranatha!

Trumpโ€™s Board of Peace – Prophetic or Egoistical??

โ€œThe Board of Peace has unlimited potential. Last October, I released a Plan for the permanent end to the Conflict in Gaza, and our Vision was unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council. Shortly thereafter, we facilitated Humanitarian Aid at record speed, and secured the release of every living and deceased Hostage. Just last month, two dozen distinguished Founding Members joined me in Davos, Switzerland, to celebrate its official formation, and present a bold Vision for the Civilians in Gaza, and then, ultimately, far beyond Gaza โ€” WORLD PEACE!โ€ President Trump

I fear that Trump with his deal making persona and his admitted lack of Biblical knowledge, he can be set up for failure.  Beside all that I am not excited about the $10 billion he has pledged from the United States.  Trump is trying to solve a bad situation by throwing money at the problem.  Money and jobs are not the problem in Gaza or other hot spots.  It is the Islamic mindset.  Until they accept Israel’s right to exist, nothing will change.

In these shaky and prophetic times we live, any version or derivative of โ€œWorld Peaceโ€ gets on my radar.  It is sometimes easy to see all events pertaining to Israel and the Middle East in light of Bible prophecy, but not all are.  Forerunner? Possibly.   So prophetic or egotistical, we shall see.  (I am in no way saying that Trump is the ant-christ!).  But this could be a forerunner to something to build on.  We shall see.  Or is it just another failed attempt at peace in a region with age old hatred and religious and cultural divides that will never heal.  At least not until the Prince of Peace comes.

Trump said contributing nations had raised $7 billion as an initial down payment for Gaza reconstruction. Contributors included Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait, he said. The membership is mostly made up of Middle Eastern countries, plus leaders from outside the region who may be looking to gain favor with Trump.

Estimates for rebuilding Gaza, which was reduced to rubble after two years of war, range up to $70 billion.   โ€œWe have to get this right.  There is no Plan B for Gaza.  Plan B is going back to war.  No one here wants that,โ€ said the U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio. At this point Hamas has not disarmed.

Trump proposed the board in September when he announced his plan to end Israelโ€™s war in Gaza. He later made clear the boardโ€™s remit would expand beyond Gaza to tackle other conflicts worldwide, a point he reiterated on Wednesday by saying it would look into โ€œhotspotsโ€ around the world.

The Bible tells us in the book of Daniel 9:27, that the anti-christ with his Beast system of one world governance will โ€œconfirmโ€ a seven year peace treaty with Israel.  Interesting choice of word, โ€œconfirm.โ€  Since I believe that the Bible says what it means and  means what it says, this tells me a peace treaty of some kind will already be in place at the arrival of the anti-christ.  And by the way that word doesnโ€™t mean in place of Christ, but instead of Christ.  Much more important context.

The ecumenical movement started years ago and will increase.  Unity sounds great.  But we must stand on the absolute truths of the Word.  Unity on the essentials, and freedom on the non-essentials. No unity can be possible without naming the name of Jesus as the only way of salvation.  True Christians will always be in contrast to the world and fight against the hedonistic culture of today.  I believe woke based churches will play a big role in the rise of the Beast and his system.  Woke, liberal work base churches with a mandate to love all regardless of lifestyle change, who also deny the validity of the Word are an anathema to the true church.  After all, what is more deadly than a false man made religion.  What we see today with woke churches and the absolute ignorance of the American church is mind boggling.

Is this the rising of the Beast system, peace, or the ramblings of an old manโ€™s ego??  Iโ€™ll leave you to decide. Time will tell.

Live in the Word and walk in His Spirit.

Hillary Clinton Insists Christian Men Are Damaging The Path Forward For America – Harbinger’s Daily

Dear readers, sorry to have to put you through this, but this is priceless. I guess she has time to spread mor radical feminist propaganda before testifying in Congress. Old and tired doesn’t look good on radicals. Rh

Earlier this week, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said out loud what many socially conservative Christian believers have long suspected radical factions of culture contend to be fact: White, Christian, heterosexual men are the cause of all kinds of problems, and maybe even behind the collapse of Western Civilization…
