Xi’s China Church Crackdown Worse Than Under Mao

07-29-2020Gary Lane

Christians in China say the latest wave of persecution against them is worse than what the church experienced during the height of Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Christians have suffered ongoing pressures under President Xi Jinping, but they say government oppression has intensified since the onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic earlier this year.

July 22nd, 2020: A loud knock on the door could be heard at the home of a woman in China’s Xiamen city.  She told the police outside they could not enter her home without a permit.

Moments later, they destroy the lock and entered anyway, breaking up what the government said was an illegal meeting.

Four days later, on Sunday, July 26th, government workers removed the cross from the roof of Small River Christian Church in Xinfeng county, Jiangxi province.

These are just two recent examples – both incidents that occurred just days ago in the Chinese Communist Party’s crackdown on Christians and their churches.

China Aid President Bob Fu said this wave of persecution actually began in 2015, but now the Chinese Communist Party has a new excuse for targeting Christians.

“Now under this pretext of Covid-19 coronavirus,  the Chinese Communist Party  has intensified its persecution by banning all the church activities – even those worship services, prayer meetings in believers’ own homes with their own family members.”

The government has also used this as an excuse to arrest Christians who called for on-line prayer meetings.

China orders Christians to replace crosses and images of Jesus Christ with portraits of communist leaders

Another example of religious oppression in communist China

The communist Chinese government is ordering some Christians to take down religious symbols, including crosses, crucifixes, and images of Jesus Christ, and to replace them with communist leaders, according to a new report.

The startling report of religious oppression was reported in Bitter Winter, a religious liberty magazine.

“All impoverished households in the town were told to display Mao Zedong images,” said a local pastor to Bitter Winter.

“The government is trying to eliminate our belief and wants to become God instead of Jesus,” he added.

The order was made in April when communist party officials visited believers’ homes in the city of Linfen, located in the northern province

The United States’ policy is crystal clear: The South China Sea is not China’s maritime empire. If Beijing violates international law and free nations do nothing, history shows the CCP will simply take more territory. China Sea disputes must be resolved through international law.

U.S. and U.K. accuse Russia of launching new weapon into space By Sophie Mann

Earlier this month, Russia tested an object with the capabilities of targeting satellites in space.

The United States and United Kingdom on Thursday accused Russia of conducting a test on a space-based anti-satellite weapon earlier this month.

U.S. Space Command said it has evidence that Russia conducted a non-destructive test of a space-based anti-satellite weapon on July 15.

The group also said Russia “injected a new object into orbit” from Cosmos 2543, is a satellite that has been in orbit since 2019. It also said the object has the capabilities to target a satellite.

The head of the U.K.’s Space Directorate called on Russia to cease any further testing of this sort, saying that it could “risk causing debris that could pose a threat to satellites and the space systems on which the world depends.”

This marks the first time the United States has accused Russia of testing an “on orbit” weapon, which is a weapon that is based in outer space.

Gen. John W. “Jay” Raymond, commander of U.S. Space Command and U.S. Space Force chief, said that the Russian satellite system used to conduct the test has been of concern for several months.

“This is further evidence of Russia’s continuing efforts to develop and test space-based systems, and consistent with the Kremlin’s published military doctrine to employ weapons that hold US and allied space assets at risk,” Raymond said.

Russian and Chinese anti-satellite weapons were some of the main reasons that led to the creation of the U.S. military branch focused on space – the Space Force – which Raymond now leads.

China is our most dangerous threat,’ Sen. Cruz warns in Senate floor speech

“The Chinese Communists are murdering, lying, torturing tyrants,” the Texas Republican said.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, warned Wednesday that China represents the chief threat currently confronting the United States, calling Chinese communists “murdering, lying, torturing tyrants.”

“The overwhelming challenge for this body and this country for the next century going forward is how we stand up to the threat of China. China is waging a thousand year war. And for the sake, not only of Americans, but for the sake of the free world, America needs to win this contest,” Cruz declared in a Senate floor speech.

“The coronavirus pandemic has thrown into high relief the fact that China is our most dangerous threat,” he added.

The China hawk and former presidential candidate pleaded to lessen U.S. dependence on Beijing and blasted American businesses for compromising while pursuing profits from China.

“Big business, giant corporations, the media, Hollywood, all are terrified to take on Communist China. All see the billions they can earn from access to the Chinese markets as more important than free speech,” Cruz said.

Sen. Hawley to LeBron James, NBA: ‘You are profiting off slave labor in China’

Interesting that these social justice warriors tell you what to think and care about, but never disclose the money that comes from foreign repressive governments. Sports stars and movie starts the last people who have a social conscience. They are in for the $$$. See article below from The Sara Carter Show.

“I would challenge the NBA, Adam Silver, all the endorsers of Nike products like LeBron to take a pledge that they will be slave free, that they will not use in their product lines slave labor,” Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., said on Fox News on Tuesday.

Hawley introduced the Slave-Free Business Certification Act, which would “increase corporate supply chain disclosure requirements, mandates regular audits, requires chief executive officers to certify that their companies’ supply chains do not rely on forced, slave labor, and creates penalties for firms that fail basic minimum standards for human rights.”

Corporate America and the celebrities that hawk their products have been playing this game for a long time – talk up corporate social responsibility and social justice at home while making millions of dollars off the slave labor that assembles their products. Executives build woke, progressive brands for American consumers, but happily outsource labor to Chinese concentration camps, all just to save a few bucks,” said Hawley in a statement.
