PREACHING TO THE CHOIR by By Randy Harris, Moral Conservative, Podcast/Blog

I remember a quote from former President Reagan: “It seems all the people for abortion have already been born.” That sums up my philosophy as well. Watch people as they live their life. When a medical crisis happens, it does not matter how old, whether they attend church or if they are non-believers, they always do everything possible, try every medical procedure, even go to other countries to look for a cure. This is telling me, life is precious we want to live, regardless of our station in life. I have always wondered how many of the millions of aborted precious lives would have made our world a much better place. Was there among them a future doctor to cure cancer or dementia? Was there among them a great inventor to solve our energy needs, or a great author or evangelist to reach the lost and hurting? In 2 Thessalonians 3:13, the Bible tells us to “not grow weary in doing good.” The word “weary” in the Greek means (faint, lose heart or be exhausted.). Today we fight an enemy that does not quit, who will never surrender and constantly throws as much evil and discouragement as possible at us. We, who have fought the Pro-Life battle, understand the idea of weariness and exhaustion. We support candidates who break our hearts as they promise life and succumb to a spirit of compromise. It’s so easy when we have fought so hard to want to rest. We are tired, exhausted and wonder when this fight will be won. But let’s be encouraged. We are winning this fight. Following last year’s Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, many states have moved to either curtail or abolish abortion altogether. In fact, a recent Gallup poll gives much encouragement if one looks deep into the questions. According to LifeSiteNews.com, “When pollsters ask the times abortion should be legal, a strong percentage of people say abortions should generally only be allowed to save the mother’s life or in cases of rape or incest. Since those rare reasons constitute approximately 2% of all abortions, many Americans oppose 98% of abortions.” This is encouraging, but let me be clear, we must refuse to stop fighting! Even one lost child is too much. This war will be won the day the murder of innocent babies has stopped! Not one day sooner. Sometimes we just have to Continue the Fight. We will not give up until total victory has been won. Let’s not become complacent with our recent victories, winning battles is not winning the war. This spiritual battle will be won on our knees in prayer and by accepting our marching orders from God. Remember the Church is a Battleship, not a cruise ship.I remember a quote from former President Reagan: “It seems all the people for abortion have already been born.” That sums up my philosophy as well. Supreme Court extends hold on Texas ruling against abortion pills until Friday

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) – The U.S. Supreme Court has extended a temporary hold on enforcing a ruling against the distribution of abortion pills until Friday, to give the justices more time to consider the case.

On April 7, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk issued an order suspending the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) approval of the abortion drug mifepristone, finding the agency did not adequately investigate its long-term effects. The same day, Judge Thomas Rice ruled that the pill should remain on the market in 15 states plus the District of Columbia.

The Biden administration challenged the ruling, and a three-judge panel of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals partially blocked Kacsmaryk’s decision, ruling that mifepristone should remain available but keeping suspended the administration’s approval of dispensing it via the mail. The administration then asked the nation’s highest court to step in.

In a brief April 19 order issued by conservative Justice Samuel Alito, the court announced that the “stay issued on April 14, 2023, is hereby extended until 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, April 21, 2023.” The order did not elaborate further.

The move means that mifepristone may continue to be distributed until Friday, although that could change soon after pending the justices’ final decision. Pray that the pill will not be distributed. It always amazes me the depth of evil to want to murder innocent babies. Rh

Contending for the Faith Part 1

Commentary writer Matthew Henry said “a traitor inside the church is worse than a thousand outside the church.” Many times those of us who strictly contend for the faith are looked upon as hard liners or too conservative, but in society today fundamental truth needs to be shouted from the rooftops. When so called Pastors deny any part of the Bible as the word of God, or try to minimize or throw away what God has said, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Shepards are called to lead and feed the flock of God. Today not so much. (Isaiah 56:10-12) Pastors need to speak out on issues from their pulpit! Don’t be a sissy. Don’t be afraid because now is the time for men of God to be leaders not follows. We should change the atmosphere wherever we go. Find a man like that to support. Brave and strong in the Lord. By the way, get involved in what is happening today politically as well. Get out of the Church and do something. Preach issues from your pulpit. Tell your parishioners God will judge your vote. Vote Biblical values!

Most of our moral issues plaguing us today stem from nonsensical interpretation of the scriptures. Pastors, of which I am one, drive me crazy with the their fear of losing members. Preach the word, be a good Bible teacher. Don’t compromise. An old Preacher told me this over 40 years ago, “Son the people who are with you can’t leave you, and the people who aren’t with you can’t stay.” What he meant was those who want the truth will be drawn to you and those who want their ears tickled will leave. Great advice for any endeavor, just be yourself and say what is right and true and be passionate.

If you have as good Pastor, encourage him constantly. He needs it. If you go to a dead and dry church, get out of it. Christian’s don’t need junk food, they need to be fed from the Word. Rh

A Raging Battle

A phrase that I and many others have voiced on many occasions, “we are in a battle for the soul of America.” Truer words were never spoken. I write this short blog to lay out my feelings and more importantly my deeply held convictions.

First, I am an ordained Pastor who believes that righteousness exalts a nation, but evil rulers are an abomination to a people. At the present time we are ruled in both parties, but more so in the democratic socialist by demagogues. Ruling class pols that have no desire for the good of our nation.

Our battle is one of a spiritual fight, (Ephesians 6:10-18) and needs to be conquered as such! Years ago our Congress would debate and fight over spending and programs to help the poor or how to increase economic development and military spending. Not anymore.

Every issue that comes to the forefront today is a social construct. Each and everyone is a fist into the air against traditional values or Biblical values that America was founded on and churches and moral people accepted. The only way to defeat this enemy, and it is an enemy of the people, is to go full fledged into spiritual warfare. It’s not flesh and blood, but spiritual forces we are up against. Prayer is our weapon, but not the only weapon. We must use the shoes (Ephesians 6:15 to get out and do the work of an evangelist to save our country. God wants us to partner with him.

The battle is the Lord’s, but we are the foot soldiers. Hooray!

Happy New Year

I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, most of which we break long before Valentine’s Day. But I am big on the Biblical concept of putting things behind us and looking forward. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that “old things are passed away, behold all things are new.” The only time I look back on ‘22 is to rejoice in the victories God has wrought. Flipping a school board to conservative majority, and building my organization to where Christian Conservatives is now a part of the vernacular of our community. The new year is a clean slate of abundant possibilities. A clean slate to make it what we will. For me I want to drive a state into the ground and say I will not go back to any former issues, sin, or attitudes. I am here and I am only going forward, getting better and realizing the abundance that God has for me. New year means new challenges and new demons to conquer. Issues are before me and I am asking for direction on what and how to tackle them. I am asking for three things, 1- Revelation to grasp the hidden, 2 – Vision to know my focus, and 3 – Wisdom to apply knowledge to the problem. Let’s do this, 2023 you better know my name cause I’m going to conquer you!! Rh
