Ilhan Omar, Abdul El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, James Talarico and the Silent Church
What happens when the West and the churches ignore the Jezebel spirit infiltrating the West to gain power and take over? The West will find itself replaced! We are watching the infiltration of a conquering religious/political ideology known as Islam penetrate into Western society to not only challenge the principles upon which Western freedoms were built but to replace them, as Jezebel did when she tried to replace the worship of YHWH with the worship of Baal.
This current development of Islam in the West mirrors the biblical pattern of Jezebel of the Old Testament and the spirit of Jezebel mentioned in the New Testament. This Satanic influence, which controlled Jezebel in the past, is, today, infiltrating countries in Western society like Jezebel did to Israel; it desires authority and power, introduces religious compromise, lies, manipulates, and works its way to the top for ultimate control.
If one does not believe an infiltration by Islam is happening, consider what Bridgette Gabriel of Act for America states: “The Muslim population in America is up 145% since 9/11. We now have more than 5.5 million Muslims living in the United States. Sixty percent of adult Muslims here are foreign-born. Muslims’ political influence is rising more than any other group. You already see it and feel it. We now have 255 Muslim elected officials serving across 26 states at every level of government. In Congress, they have five Muslim representatives. Four in the House: Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, André Carson of Indiana, and Lateefah Simon of California. And the fifth current House member, Aisha Wahab of California, joined via special election in early September 2026. They have 46 state legislators: 32 state representatives and assembly members and 14 state senators. They have 18 elected judges. On the local level, they have 98 city council members, 63 school board members and other education positions. They have 11 mayors. This is now. These are elected officials now, before they add any winners in the upcoming November election. 180 Muslim candidates are running nationwide at all levels right now. Eight Muslim candidates for Congress and the Senate this November of 2026.” Bridgette Gabriel
The growing prominence of left-wing Muslim political figures such as Ilhan Omar, Abdul El-Sayed, and Zohran Mamdani illustrate this Jezebel spirit (Islam) that seeks authority over the West. At the same time the return of Ahab is seen in people like Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico, who is a self-professing “Christian,” but panders to Muslim political organizations for support and heretically said there are theological similarities between Christianity and Islam. Talerico is a modern day king Ahab, who compromised with his Phoenician wife, Jezebel, and permitted her to introduce Baal worship into Israel. Finally, pastors who remain silent on these issues, rather than defending biblical truth, can be compared, figuratively, to the spiritual eunuchs in this account. Men who have surrendered their moral courage, biblical convictions, and responsibility to exercise godly leadership in the face of a theological and cultural threat.
The Jezebel Spirit: A Biblical Warning About Political and Religious Corruption
Jezebel appears in 1 Kings as the wife of King Ahab, who ruled Israel during a period of widespread apostasy. According to 1 Kings 16:31–33, Jezebel promoted Baal worship and helped institutionalize idolatry within Israel. Her influence extended beyond personal religious convictions into the nation’s political and spiritual life.
In 1 Kings 18:4, Jezebel is associated with the slaughter of the Lord’s prophets. In 1 Kings 19:2, she threatens Elijah after he confronts the prophets of Baal. In 1 Kings 21, she orchestrates false testimony against Naboth, leading to his execution so Ahab can acquire his vineyard.
The biblical pattern includes infiltration, religious corruption, intimidation, deception, persecution, and the abuse of governmental authority.
Centuries later, Jesus rebuked the church at Thyatira:
“Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.” — Revelation 2:20
The problem was not simply the existence of false teaching, sexual immorality, and idolatry. The problem was that the church tolerated it, and that is the point I’m making. Why does the West tolerate Islamic candidates who hate Western values, our country, and Israel?
False teaching, sexual immorality, and idolatry will happen, but the Bible warns us not to tolerate them. Furthermore, we must go one step further. We must not tolerate the Jezebel spirit that seeks infiltration through lies, manipulation, religious deception, and rebellion.
The question is whether churches and governments will exercise the discernment needed to recognize the Jezebel spirit and, if they do, confront and expose it.
Example #1: Ilhan Omar: Immigration Controversies, Financial Questions, and Her Antisemitism
Who is Congresswoman Ilhan Omar? She has become a controversial figure in American politics for too long, particularly concerning her own immigration, Israel, and foreign policy.
In October 2026, reports emerged about federal scrutiny of her immigration history and family relationships. We knew this long ago, but no one had the courage to deal with it until now.
Federal court filings refer to Omar as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.” This is her real name.
The reference renewed questions concerning her family’s identity records and allegations that her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was her brother.
The circulated USCIS documents include a June 20, 2023, genealogy-search letter and a September 6, 2023, Certificate of Nonexistence of Record concerning Nur Omar Mohamed and variations of that name.
These documents indicate that searches of specified immigration databases did not locate matching records. She is a fraud who came into our country illegally and hates it. Hopefully she will be sent back to Somalia.
Omar has also faced scrutiny over financial disclosures involving businesses linked to her husband, Tim Mynett. Changes in asset valuations prompted questions from congressional investigators. She went from millionaire to pauper overnight: reporting $30 million in her initial 2024 disclosure, then a potentially negative net worth (between -$80,000 and $95,000) in 2025. Her office attributed the reversal to an “accounting error” in the original report. Really? Are we supposed to believe this?
Omar’s political positions concerning Israel are part of the problem too.
Omar is totally antisemitic, and this is evidenced by statements concerning Israel, Jewish political influence, and American foreign policy. In 2012, Omar tweeted, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” In 2019, she suggested that American political support for Israel was motivated by money, stating, “It’s all about the Benjamins baby,” and identifying the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as the source of that influence. That same year, Omar raised another controversy by questioning the political influence that allows people to “push for allegiance to a foreign country,” referring to Israel.
In 2021, Omar again generated controversy when she grouped the United States and Israel with Hamas and the Taliban, declaring, “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban.” During the 2021 Gaza conflict, Omar also accused Israel of terrorism, stating, “Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism,” and accused the United States of “underwriting crimes against humanity” through its support for Israel.
Example #2: Abdul El-Sayed: The Muslim Brotherhood Controversy
Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has faced scrutiny over historical political statements and allegations concerning family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Founded in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has promoted an Islamist political vision in which religious principles play a governing role. Its history includes political activism, social organizations, and violent Islamic terrorist movements.
During the 2026 campaign, older social media statements attributed to El-Sayed’s half-sister, Eman Abdelhadi, attracted attention. In those statements, she reportedly described family involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood, including activism by their mother during the 1970s.
El-Sayed has denied personal affiliation with the Brotherhood and rejected allegations that he supports its political objectives, but he should have disavowed his family’s actions long ago. He has not until he was put under the microscope.
Critics have also highlighted his involvement with a 2012 statement concerning Egypt’s government under Mohamed Morsi, whose political movement was affiliated with the Brotherhood. The letter backed Morsi’s November 22, 2012 declaration granting himself sweeping executive powers and shielding his actions from judicial review, and explicitly called on him to “purge the media and the police as quickly as possible.” A Breitbart report claimed fellow co-signers of the 2012 Morsi letter financially supported El-Sayed, suggesting a deeper network of connections than he has acknowledged.
At a Michigan gubernatorial forum, El-Sayed told an audience that “Muslims definitely hate you.” El-Sayed has publicly praised the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which is a terrorist-linked organization. He has defended the group as a defender of Muslim civil liberties.
In a 2009 New York Times interview, El-Sayed, then a 24-year-old medical student and Rhodes scholar who bought a condo in Ann Arbor with a Sharia-compliant (interest-free) mortgage, said: “Ultimately, the question is, when I die, and I stand before God and go through everything I did in my life, I don’t want to say I did it the easy way instead of the Sharia-compliant way.
When journalist Laura Loomer pressed him on the “Sharia-compliant” label, he denied saying it, cut the interview short, and scolded his staff for not ending it sooner. In a 2022 CAIR-Oklahoma speech, he compared efforts to ban Sharia law to the Trail of Tears, the Tulsa massacre, and the Oklahoma City bombing.
According to RealClearInvestigations’s own examination of FEC filings, published in their August 18, 2026 article “A Call to Power: Islamic Leaders See Ballot Box as Path to Paradise.” They found that:
“El-Sayed won his primary with at least $315,000 in Muslim Brotherhood-tied funds, a RealClearInvestigations examination of Federal Election Commission filings reveals.
Lastly, a former staffer reported El-Sayed is angling for a seat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee if elected, and that should concern every pro-Israel Christian.
These matters raise questions about his historical Islamic associations, finances, and how he will operate domestically and abroad, especially concerning Israel.
Example #3: Zohran Mamdani: “Globalize the Intifada”
One of the most controversial episodes surrounding New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani concerns his response to the slogan “Globalize the Intifada.”
The expression has generated serious concern among Jewish communities and Christian Zionists like myself because of its association with Palestinian uprisings against Israel.
The Second Intifada, which began in 2000, included suicide bombings, shootings, and other terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of Israeli civilians. Buses, restaurants, and other public gathering places became targets.
Consequently, many Jewish people interpret calls to globalize an intifada as potentially extending violent confrontation beyond Israel into Jewish communities worldwide. Mamdani apologized for saying it, but as Messiah pointed out, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45), meaning words naturally overflow from what fills a person’s inner being. The mouth does not originate thoughts but expresses them; therefore, a person’s words and actions serve as a mirror for their true moral and spiritual state.
For pro-Israel Christians who believe the Jewish people retain a distinctive place in God’s covenantal purposes, the protection of Jewish life and opposition to antisemitism are particularly significant. Genesis 12:3 establishes God’s promise to Abraham and his descendants, while Romans 11 warns Gentile believers against arrogance toward Israel.
The theological issue is not whether criticism of Israel’s government should be prohibited. Governments remain subject to moral scrutiny, including Israel’s government. Christian Zionism does not give blanket approval of all the Israeli government’s decisions.
Rather, the concern is whether political rhetoric normalizes hostility toward Jewish people, the state of Israel, or excuses violence under the language of resistance.
The biblical Jezebel narrative reminds believers of the danger of tolerating infiltration into the highest positions of power by individuals outside Western Judeo-Christian values, who use intimidation by calling people Islamophobic and eventually use their power to force their false religion and worldview on others, as Jezebel did.
James Talarico: A Modern Day Ahab
Jezebel’s influence over Israel was made possible, in part, by her husband King Ahab’s weakness and spiritual compromise. Rather than exercising his God-given responsibility to lead the nation in righteousness, Ahab surrendered to Jezebel’s idolatrous influence, allowing her to manipulate political authority, persecute God’s prophets, and promote Baal worship throughout Israel (1 Kings 16:31–33; 21:25). Ahab was not merely a passive victim; he willingly participated in evil and abdicated his responsibility to resist it.
Ahab’s tragedy was not that he lacked political power, but that he refused to exercise it righteously. Jezebel’s wickedness flourished because Ahab chose compromise over obedience, passivity over courage, and submission to evil over submission to God. This biblical pattern warns that corrupt leadership becomes especially destructive when those entrusted with authority lack the spiritual backbone to confront deception, resist intimidation, and stand uncompromisingly for the truth.
James Talarico and many so-called “Christians” like him represent Ahab. For example, in October 2026, Talarico met with Muslim community leaders in Texas for political support, prompting justified criticism. According to The Christian Post, participants included figures associated with Palestinian political advocacy. This shows Talarico’s willingness to accommodate Islamic political interests. I believe this is classic for the Red-Green alliance seen around the world: progressives, Marxists, socialists, and Communists partnering with Islam to destroy the West.
More significantly, the theological debate centers on Talarico’s public statements about Christianity and Islam. He has emphasized their shared Abrahamic heritage and suggested that their religious traditions possess substantial common ground. He argues that Christians, Muslims, and Jews worship the same God. He contends that despite significant theological differences, all three faiths refer to the same ultimate divine referent: the God of Abraham who created the universe. On the On The Weekend Show and The Ezra Klein Show, he described all faith traditions as “a circle with that divine mystery of the universe in the middle,” where “we all have different names for that mystery, whether it’s God or Yahweh or Allah or Nirvana, the Great Spirit, whatever you call it.”
Sorry, Talerico, you’re wrong!
Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God, who died for humanity’s sins and rose again.
Jesus declared: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6
The New Testament therefore does not present Christianity and Islam as interchangeable paths to salvation. From an evangelical theological perspective, peaceful relationships and political positions should never require Christians to deny the exclusive claims of Jesus Christ. That would be tantamount to calling Jesus a liar and denying the Lord who bought them.
The church at Thyatira was rebuked for tolerating teaching that compromised its faithfulness to God. That is what these so-called “Christians” do when they act like Talarico. They let the fox into the hen house because the individual wants to appear nicer than God and be perceived as a promoter of peace. However, peace can never exist with lies.
The Church and the Spiritual Eunuchs Surrounding Jezebel
Significantly, when the Lord finally judged Jezebel, 2 Kings 9:32 records that two or three eunuchs looked down from her window and obeyed Jehu’s command to throw her down. Before this event, Jezebel deliberately surrounded herself with eunuchs because they were passive and let her run roughshod. For that reason, their presence provides a striking illustration. Just as a eunuch was physically castrated, a man can become figuratively and spiritually castrated when he abandons moral courage, biblical conviction, and his God-given responsibilities.
The greatest danger facing Western Christianity may not be an external political ideology. It is the church’s own unwillingness to defend biblical convictions of Western civilization and allowing another civilization and religion to take over. It sits on its hands, pretending to be nicer than God to the “stranger” who refuses to assimilate and promotes an ideology that wants to conquer every nation it invades.
When pastors avoid confronting truth to avoid controversy, when congregations choose the tickling of their ears over discipleship, and when Christian leaders confuse cultural acceptance with spiritual faithfulness, the church loses theological clarity and its ability to confront spiritual threats. Society will then suffer because it loses its moral backbone when churches are absent and the Jezebel spirit walks in unopposed.
The Jezebel narrative warns against precisely this kind of compromise. Ephesians 6:12 reminds Christians that their ultimate struggle is spiritual, but sadly, many pastors who have turned into spiritual eunuchs don’t even realize there is a spiritual war going on. They think not finding a parking space close to the front door of Walmart is spiritual warfare. They are clueless.
When they compromise, they inevitably eliminate political responsibility. Those who compromise commit the sin of silence and never engage with the culture nor even tell people to vote. There is a reason behind it. They are spiritual eunuchs who have castrated themselves because they refuse to confront evil and shine light on the darkness.
Conclusion: Will the West Defend Its Foundational Principles?
The biblical account of Jezebel is a sobering warning about what happens when religious deception gains political power and those entrusted with authority fail to confront it. Jezebel promoted idolatry, Ahab enabled her through compromise, and the prophets of God suffered persecution. The same dangers of spiritual compromise, political manipulation, and moral cowardice demand serious examination in our generation.
Islam cannot be allowed to infiltrate the West or we will end up like Europe. The controversies involving Ilhan Omar, Abdul El-Sayed, and Zohran Mamdani illustrate the present infiltration of the Jezebel spirit. The Jezebel narrative warns that religious deception and political power can become destructive when people and institutions surrender discernment.
Equally troubling is the danger of compromise within the professing Church. James Talarico’s theological statements and political interfaith outreach to Islamic political interests repeat Ahab’s failure to exercise righteous leadership to prevent religious compromise. Pastors reveal they are spiritual eunuchs because they refuse to speak the truth, expose the wolf in sheep’s clothing, and neglect to shine light on evil. How can the Church in the West defend biblical truth if it is unwilling to proclaim it?
The greatest tragedy is not that false teaching seeks influence over Western civilization, but that those entrusted with defending biblical truth remained silent while it is happening.
