U.S. and Iran Nuclear Talks
The big event supposedly happened yesterday in Oman. I say supposedly because they were not, as Trump deliriously told us last week that they would be face to face. In fact these are indirect talks. Which might be a blessing since I have no good reason to believe Witkoff can negotiate any deal with Iran.
After the meeting all the major players told us progress was made, (translation-we all showed up), and of course they acknowledged “diplomatic hurdles” and that those hurdles were very “complicated”. Translation: Iran wants months for these talks to drag on so they can continue to process more nuclear material for a bomb.
Trump also addressed the negotiations while on Air Force One en route to an event in Miami, telling reporters. “It’s going OK. I don’t want to say too much—nothing matters until it is finalized. But it’s going OK. I think the Iran situation is looking fairly good.”
Unfortunately butterfly kisses and positive thinking won’t get a deal done, it will take military action to accomplish ending the nuclear ambitions of Iran.

Will Trump’s Gamble Pay Off
Well, Trump will be taking office in a couple of days. I am happy, but with what I am seeing his first four years in office was marred by bad advice from too many old friends and cronies. His move to the center and now his urgency to a cease fire in the Middle East is compounding the issue Israel has. One cannot negotiate with terrorists who wish to drive an entire people group (Jews) into the sea. No peace is possible with terrorists and Trump should know this. His ego to get the hostages home without a complete victory by the IDF is problematic at best and ignorant at best.
Trump gave them an ultimatum, he should have stuck with it. Then if the hostages weren’t released, let all hell break out. He has just showed his hand that he can be moved by his astronomic ego. I know this won’t sit well with Trump apologists who think he plays 4D chess. Sorry, he doesn’t. Facts are a curious thing, they are always right.
Here is hoping and praying that all turns out well. However, without total victory by the IDF, without total destruction of terror armies, we will revisit this very same war in the very near future. It should be finished now! Rh
