Missiles, Warnings, and a Countdown to Conflict

U.S. Repositions Amid Looming Iran-Israel Clash

By Tania Curado-Koenig | June 2025

Washington, D.C. — The United States’ decision to redirect 20,000 anti-drone missiles from Ukraine to the Middle East has sent shockwaves through diplomatic and military circles, triggering concerns of an imminent regional war. While the Pentagon has yet to confirm the final destination of the munitions, multiple Israeli officials have acknowledged that the bulk of the shipment is being integrated into Israel’s air defense system — a sign that the threat from Iran and its regional proxies is now considered immediate.

The missiles, designed to intercept Shahed-type drones, had been previously allocated to Ukraine. Their sudden diversion, confirmed on national television by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, marks a rare public acknowledgment of shifting U.S. priorities. “This morning, my Defense Minister informed me that the United States had redirected 20,000 missiles to the Middle East,” Zelenskyy told ABC’s This Week on June 8.

Israel Moves to High Alert

According to The New York Times, Israel has formally notified U.S. officials that its military has completed operational planning to strike Iranian nuclear sites, particularly the underground facilities at Fordow and Natanz. Defense analysts in both Washington and Tel Aviv confirm that Israel has repositioned key assets across its northern and southern fronts, reinforcing air defense systems and elevating surveillance across hostile borders.

In an unusual move, the U.S. Embassy in Israel issued a travel restriction advisory to its personnel on Wednesday, prohibiting non-essential movement outside of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba. The alert follows a series of escalatory warnings from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its affiliated militias across Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.

Trump Responds to Evacuations

While the Trump administration has maintained a tight lid on active operations, President Donald Trump made headlines Wednesday night when questioned during a red carpet appearance about the rapid evacuation of American citizens from the Middle East.

“This can be a dangerous place,” Trump said. “We’ve received warnings. You’ll have to wait and see.”

The comment came just hours before classified briefings were delivered to congressional defense committees regarding Israel’s military readiness and Iran’s nuclear acceleration.

Iran Escalates Rhetoric and Enrichment

An Iranian official responded Thursday, calling Israel’s posture “bluster” and accusing Washington of leveraging military threats to gain concessions at the negotiating table. “They want us to fold on our demands,” he said. “But we won’t.”

At the same time, Iran has announced that it will replace all first-generation centrifuges at its Fordow nuclear site with sixth-generation models — a move likely to provoke formal condemnation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), whose Board of Governors remains in emergency session in Vienna.

Strategic Implications

The Biden administration, in its final year, had authorized the now-diverted missile shipment to Ukraine. That shipment never arrived in full, and under President Trump’s current national security calculus, those resources have been repurposed to the Middle East — indicating a major reassessment of risk.

What this shift confirms is that Israel is now the central front in the eyes of U.S. defense planners. With growing threats from Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iranian-backed militias, the decision to preemptively strengthen Israel’s defense grid appears aimed at preventing a worst-case scenario: a surprise, multi-front missile and drone assault.

A Remarkable Strategic Feat

Though it has drawn relatively little media attention, the speed and scale of this transfer were extraordinary. According to multiple U.S. and Ukrainian sources, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the redirection of the 20,000 anti-drone missiles on June 4, 2025. Just four days later, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy confirmed the diversion publicly on June 8. Moving tens of thousands of guided munitions — including advanced APKWS systems — within such a narrow timeframe reflects not only high-level coordination but urgent strategic readiness. For many military analysts, it stands as a rare example of American logistical and political clarity in a moment of rising global tension.

A Rapidly Narrowing Window

U.S. and Israeli military officials remain tight-lipped about possible timelines, but multiple diplomatic sources suggest that the window for diplomacy is closing fast. Should the IAEA issue a formal ruling of non-compliance — expected within days — the Trump administration may use it as legal and political cover to announce the end of nuclear negotiations with Tehran.

Such a move would likely be followed by either a unilateral Israeli strike or a joint allied operation against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

A Call to the Church: Pray for President Trump

As the situation intensifies, the role of President Donald Trump in repositioning U.S. support toward Israel must not go unnoticed. After the failure of Steve Witkoff’s backchannel diplomacy — which left Israel isolated and vulnerable — the Trump administration’s recent actions mark a return to clarity, urgency, and covenant-based alignment.

For the Church, this is a critical moment. While political leaders calculate strategy, God’s people must engage in intercession. President Trump is carrying the weight of volatile decisions that could reshape the region — and history.

He needs wisdom. He needs protection. He needs prayer.

And Israel does too. As tensions rise and a multi-front war looms, we must pray not only for President Trump but for Israel’s national leadership, its citizens, and especially the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Their readiness, courage, and protection are essential in the days ahead. The Church must stand in the gap, interceding boldly for Israel’s safety and for the clarity of God’s purposes to prevail in the land He calls His own.

Memorial Day Weekend

Sitting here on a peaceful Saturday morning thinking of the upcoming weekend.  Let us not forget those who sacrificed all they had to serve our country.  Not only those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, but also those who because of injury are still suffering through a living hell.  My great appreciation for those who have a special dedication and calling to defend and protect the United States of America.  They deserve our highest honor and respect.  Praying for the family members who lost loved ones.  How difficult that must be.

As a young boy getting out of high school I was torn about the military.  The VietNam war was not only winding down, but a peace deal was in place.  Having heard the horrors of that undeclared war and the suffering it caused probably shaped me more than I knew at the time. My best friend and I almost joined the Air Force.  We definitely thought long and hard about it.  In the long run we decided it was not our life choice.  Looking back I wonder how different I would have been if that decision had been made to sign up.  We just never know….

The old adage is correct that they are only two people who would die for others, Jesus Christ and the American soldier.  The Bible says “that scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die.”  Jesus did that for us, He died even for those who hated Him and despised Him. One brought us everlasting life and the other paid a price they did not owe.  Thank you!  We are safer today and have a country that even with it’s problems is still the greatest country in the world. Our freedoms and liberties are safe guarded by those who today serve and defend those who really don’t deserve such dedication.

For all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, we salute you and honor your memory.  May the Lord bring comfort and peace to all families who lost a loved one.  Your sacrifice is not forgotten.  Rh

Teamsters Boss Blasts Kamala in Interview: ‘Who Does This Lady Think She Is?’

Teamsters President Sean O’Brien told conservative host Tucker Carlson that Vice President Kamala Harris was arrogant and took support from organized labor for granted before her eventual loss in the November election to former President Donald Trump.

During an interview on Carlon’s show, O’Brien, who addressed the Republican National Convention in August, told Carlson that Harris said his union better “get on board” and that she was going to win the election with or without the Teamsters.

O’Brien told Carlson he was floored by the moment, saying, “Who does this f******lady think she is?”

First, O’Brien told Carlson that his union had asked Senator Joe Biden and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to answer questions about issues that were important to Teamsters members before they dropped their presidential bids.

There were sixteen questions. Trump and Kennedy answered all of them, while Biden only answered five, O’Brien said. O’Brien told a story about the vice president after Harris was chosen as her party’s candidate.

The boss of the Teamsters said he sent a female vice president of the union to meet her at an event.

O’Brien said when the union representative identified herself, Harris responded, “Teamsters? You better get on board, you’d better get on board. Get on board soon.”

“Says that to my vice president, to her face. So she comes back, we have a meeting the next and she tells me this. So I call up Marty Walsh, who was the secretary of labor but he was pushing hard for us to make the endorsement. I’m like, ‘Let me ask you a question, Marty.’ Excuse my French. “Who does this f*cking lady think she is?” Like, if I want support from any organization I am not going to point my finger in someone’s face and say “you’d better get on board or else.” But that’s the attitude of this whole party,” O’Brien added.

Look no further than this to see the attitude of the ruling class socialist who think they are entitled to governor. They got what they deserve, here’s hoping we can put an end to this idiotic attitude! Continue to pray for Trump’s success and safety. We have a long fight among us. Spiritual warfare must be done!! Trump’s Abortion Pivot Sparks Outcry: ‘This Is Wrong … And We Cannot Be Silent’

By Suzanne Bowdey

The shock hasn’t worn off for pro-lifers, who continue to watch with dismay as Donald Trump and his Catholic running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), seem to publicly disavow years of conservative principles on the unborn. Reaction is still pouring inover the former president’s tweet that his administration would be “great” for “reproductive rights,” a euphemism for abortion that many see as a devastating surrender in itself. It would be one thing, the editors of National Review wrote, “for a Republican candidate for national office to say that a federal law against abortion is unattainable, or even undesirable,” given the current political realities. But at this point, they continue, “pro-lifers have to wonder if there’s any difference left between the parties on abortion.”

Of course, as veterans of the movement know, the warning signs loomed large well before July’s Republican National Convention, when Trump’s inside circle hinted that abortion would no longer be an issue of common concern but a political inconvenience that the former president would try to avoid at all costs. The ensuing party platform cemented those fears, shredding paragraphs of pro-life vision and values in exchange for four sentences that promised merely to “oppose Late Term Abortion” and support mothers.

Even that seems to be in doubt after Vance’s Sunday interview, in which he walked back any support for a 15-week federal threshold for abortion, which is past the point unborn babies can feel pain. Asked whether or not he would commit to not “impos[ing] a federal ban on abortion,” Vance replied, “I can absolutely commit that.” He continued, “I think it’s important to step back and say, ‘What has Donald Trump actually said on the abortion question, and how is it different from what Kamala Harris and the Democrats have said?’ Donald Trump wants to end this culture war over this particular topic.”

In what appears to be a big departure from Trump’s first term as president, Vance wouldn’t even commit to the 45th president’s former positions — which, until recently, were considered the bare minimum of bipartisan federal policy: blocking taxpayer-funded abortion at home and abroad, stopping the military’s war on the unborn, and ending the shipment of abortion pills to pro-life states.

It is terribly troubling the “new stance” of Trump on abortion. We all knew it was coming but still deeply concerned of a move away from Moral Conservative values. We always have to compromise. We are used to it, but still not happy about it. Rh

A Morning Consult poll is being framed around how viewership for the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, may attract fewer viewers than the Tokyo Summer Games. But a major reason for the lack of interest is buried: 40 percent of Americans said the reason they aren’t tuning in is that the Communist Chinese Party is in charge of the event.

“Forty percent of those who don’t intend to watch pointed to China hosting the Games as a reason for tuning out, including 31 percent who cited it as a ‘major’ reason,” the polling group said of its survey. “Among Republicans who said they don’t expect to watch, 56 percent pointed to China as a reason, versus 28 percent among Democrats who don’t plan to watch.”

Political affiliation also showed up in the polling even without citing the communist Chinese hosts.

“Data collected during the Tokyo Games suggested that Democrats were significantly more likely to watch the Olympics than independents or Republicans. New data suggests the same partisan split will carry over to Beijing,” Morning Consult reported. “Fifty-seven percent of Democrats said they plan to watch at least some of the Beijing Games, compared with 40 percent of Republicans and 35 percent of independents.”

Most of the poll was focused on the overall popularity of the winter and summer Olympics — of lack thereof, including 45 percent of respondents who said they planned to watch “a lot” or “some” of the Beijing games, down from 51 percent who said in a July 2021 survey ahead of last summer’s Tokyo Games.

Morning Consult weighed in on the political aspect of the games in its poll report:

Given the controversy surrounding this year’s Games being held in China despite the country’s human rights record, it’s easy to see why Olympic sponsors have been relatively quiet in the lead-up to Friday’s opening ceremony. While NBC is still treating the Olympics as a tentpole event, its marketing has been understated and is downplaying the location of the Games. Expect enthusiasm among U.S. sponsors and media to be much greater for Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026 and, of course, Los Angeles 2028.

The Jan. 25-27, 2022 poll took place among a representative sample of 2,210 adults in the United States, with an unweighted margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
