Warning – Mid-Terms Are Coming

Senator Tuberville weighs in on the Republican efforts in the mid-terms.  “We are not doing anything.”

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is among a handful of Senate Republicans publicly expressing frustration about doing everything possible to keep control of the U.S. Senate with the midterm elections looming.

According to a report by The Hill’s Al Weaver, the hopes of passing so-called “big-ticket items” to address affordability concerns this year were “quickly fading away,” according to some Republicans.

In brief remarks to The Hill, Tuberville suggested as much, saying there was little movement by the U.S. Senate.

“Are we doing enough? We’re not doing anything,” he said. “Everybody’s working on getting elected.”

Tuberville, a candidate for governor, has suggested some of the gridlock on Capitol Hill is attributed to the long-standing filibuster rule.

He has been a proponent of ending the filibuster in recent months. In a recent op-ed, the senior U.S. Senator warned of a doomsday scenario without the GOP taking a proactive approach to ending the filibuster.

“Republicans must end the filibuster if we have any hope of keeping a Supreme Court that respects the Constitution,” he wrote. “If we fail, Democrats have already said what they will do when they regain power: pack the courts with radicals who will disregard the Constitution altogether.”  Jeff Poor 1819 News

IMO, we the people have spoken and we haven’t been “paid back” on our investment in the do nothing republican party, especially in the Senate. We have the White House, and both chambers in Congress.  Lots of big talk, but where is the action? Judges need appointment from the Senate, the Save Act needs passing, but nothing.  There is a long laundry list of promises made and very few even attempted, much less kept.

The Filibuster?  What to do with that?  I have mixed emotions.  We all know the fear is what would the democratic socialists do when they regain power?  

Here is a list:

  • drop the filibuster
  • pack the supreme court
  • Impeach Trump
  • Do away with the electoral collage
  • open borders
  • raise taxes – they call it (investments) 
  • destroy America

Too harsh, I don’t think so.  

We have missed a grand opportunity to govern.  Tuberville is right, nothing will get done now.  Recess and campaigning is the mandate now.  

Believe me when I say we are just as close to losing our Republic as before the 2024 election.  What has been codified into law?  Where is Trump on the issues, he tries to bully, but that doesn’t work like private business.  Make some deals with Congress, get it done.  Call them into the Oval and lay down the law.  Govern!

Trump must focus on these mid-terms or he will be the biggest lame duck President ever.  Trump on the campaign trail is classic. Make the right endorsements, let the money flow and let’s win these mid-terms. You can do both Mr. President, chase peace and save the country from degenerate democrats.  “America First” means saving our way of life. You have the purse strings, use ‘em.  Money and endorsements are the mothers milk of politics.

I’m not fear mongering, but just making salient points that need to be addressed.  As the crazy Cajun (Carville) once told Clinton, “it’s the economy stupid,”.  Well Mr. President, “it’s the mid-terms.”  Rh

Worthless & Traitorous Republicans

Why can’t republicans get anything done?  They are completely worthless. We the people should fire them and we would, but we can’t. Republicans hold majorities in the House and Senate plus the White House. Nothing gets done. Even the Save Act which is common sense legislation is stalled in the august upper chamber. Why?  Thune is a traitor to his home state and to the American people. He must be compromised. Does someone have pictures of him?  Is he taking bribes?  Is he a closet democrat that hates the will of the people?

In every legitimate poll passing a law to secure our elections is highly favored, even among democrats. Including African Americans and Hispanics. To be against this bill determines your patriotism. Rule of law and free and fair elections mandate only citizens of the United States be allowed to vote in elections.

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, passed by the House, was first introduced by Texas Republican Chip Roy.

It would require anyone registering to vote to prove they are U.S. citizens using a passport or birth certificate. The GOP would like to attach it to one of the government funding bills being considered in Congress, but Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says it’s a non-starter if it comes to a vote in the upper chamber.

These morons who tell us it is voter suppression or that minorities won’t be able to prove their citizenship are liars. Prove me wrong. Not passing this bill and vocally standing against passage, proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are a crooked politician. Case closed. Pass the bill!!

Remember the main reason for having an open border policy under Biden, was to guarantee a new voting block for the democrats.  An underclass that would be beholding to the democratic welfare benefits in exchange for their vote.

Final point. Trump, it’s time to use your political capital. Get these guys in the oval office and read them the riot act!  Give ‘em a flash of the notorious Trump temper! This is a test of your ability to govern, after all  Mr. President you endorsed the leadership in Congress. Thune is your guy. Remember?

Cheating and lying come as easily as breathing for the “UniParty” in D.C., isn’t it time to put an end to their chicanery? We the People!

The culture war in the western world is currently hitting a crescendo. At first the media said it was all “conspiracy theory” being amplified by a “fringe minority” of radical right wingers. Then, they admitted the conflict was real but claimed that conservatives were monsters trying to “dismantle democracy”. Today, the culture war has become the dominant issue of our age with the debate echoing through the halls of the White House.

Leftists hoped they could make it all go away by dismissing it. They hoped they could continue with their ideological takeover at their leisure. They failed.  The rebellion in the US is a product of decades of effort by liberty advocates and it is finally bearing fruit.

The key to understanding the globalist war on the west is first to recognize that a conspiracy of “elites” is a hard, irrefutable fact. Second, we must accept that war has been declared on us and this war is one of total conquest. We are not allowed to live separately and peacefully, our very existence is seen as a threat to the establishment. Third, globalists view western culture as antithetical to their future aims. Globalism cannot prevail as long as western ideals exist.

Finally, as noted, most of the world is against us whether they know it or not. Even old allies in Europe are becoming enemies. Import masses of third worlders into America and they don’t become American, America becomes the third world. Import millions of socialists into the US and the US becomes increasingly socialist. This is very simple to understand, but leftists (and some libertarians) refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Not all cultures are equal.  Some are better than others.  It’s fascinating how liberals continue to pretend as if different nations and cultures don’t produce tribes that are contrary to each other. We are not the same and natural coexistence is a myth.  Coexistence of such groups is created through intimidation, extortion and force.  The liberal Utopian ideal of multiculturalism requires oppressive centralization and tyranny.

Globalism is the mechanism by which total and eternal oligarchy is achieved. They use open borders, mass immigration, woke cultism, economic crisis, international conflagration, engineered pandemics, anything you can think of and more to tear their enemies down. We are their enemy. We didn’t choose this fight, they did, and they will continue changing strategies until they find one that works (or until we end their little experiment).

Attack on Venezuela Could Be Imminent, Trump to Designate the Maduro Drug Cartel a Terrorist Group

Six international airlines have suspended flights to the Venezuelan capital of Caracas after the Federal Aviation Administration warned major airlines about a potentially hazardous situation in the skies over the South American nation. 

President Trump’s showdown with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro could enter a dramatic new phase as the drug cartel he’s accused of being linked to is expected to be officially designated as a foreign terrorist organization today.

A U.S. Navy carrier group and B-52 bombers have been operating off the Venezuelan coast, all aimed at Maduro, who the Trump Administration says is responsible for trafficking drugs into the U.S. 

President Trump says he’s not rejecting the possibility of putting U.S. troops on the ground in Venezuela, saying, “I don’t rule that out or anything. We just have to take care of Venezuela.”

Since September, the U.S. has launched at least 20 strikes on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean Sea, killing more than 80 people, many of them from Venezuela.

Republican Congressman Michael McCaul of Texas believes those strikes and further military action against Venezuela are legal under Article Two of the Constitution.

“(The U.S. military) have been sent down on a mission to stop drugs from coming into the United States,” McCaul said on ABC. “And if that means, you know, taking out ships through our aircraft and our air force, then so be it.”

Virginia Democratic Senator Mark Warner told ABC that the Biden Administration should have addressed this problem.

“Maduro was a bad guy, frankly, under Biden,” Warner said. “When the Venezuelan people voted in overwhelming numbers, Biden should have put more pressure on getting Maduro out then. It was a mistake.”

But Kentucky Republican Senator Rand fears Trump’s focus on foreign intervention could cost him the part of his base that wants ‘America first,’ telling CBS, “I think once there’s an invasion of Venezuela…I think you’ll see a splintering and a fracturing of the movement that has supported the President.”

The Venezuelan leadership is reportedly frantic over fears the U.S. intends to remove Maduro from power. 

Meanwhile, a new CBS News poll shows most Americans want to know more from the president about what he plans to do, before they support military action.

Several years ago I heard Walid Shoebat former terrorist who helped train suicide bombers in the Middle East tell the interviewer who asked about moderate Muslims, “they are only moderate until they read the Koran! Then they become radicalized.” His point is valid, even in Christianity one must read the Bible before you become zealous for Jesus. With Islam it is convert or die, with Christianity we offer not force conversions. America is facing an existential threat from our openness to allow foreign entities to become entrenched in our nation, without assimilation. CONSTITUTION DAY: How the Bible and Faith of Our Founders Helped ‘Secure the Blessings of Liberty’

September 17th celebrates Constitution Day, marking that key American document’s ratification. Some question why it’s said America was founded as a Christian nation since there’s no mention of God in the Constitution. But leading Christian historian Peter Lillback explains while the Lord’s name may not appear, the Constitution is deeply rooted in God’s teachings, ways and words.

The Founding Fathers who wrote and signed the Constitution saw themselves as men of faith, and used what they learned from a lifetime of reading and studying God’s Word to help form the new nation’s law and government.

‘We Were Shaped by the Bible’

“I like to say that it’s not that we established a Christian country,” Lillback told CBN News. “But without Christian values, we would never have established THIS kind of country. We were shaped by the Bible.”

Outside the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia where the Preamble of the Constitution is displayed in huge letters on the outside of the building, Lillback showed phrase by phrase how the Preamble reflects biblical values the Founders knew well.

The Preamble begins like this: 

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…”

Lillback explained that their intention was clearly for a “more perfect Union”, not one that was already perfected. “It begins by saying ‘We the People of the United States’ come together to make a ‘more perfect union’,” this founder of the Providence Forum said. “They want to be one; they know they can’t be perfect. They want to be ‘more perfect’. That’s a biblical idea: ‘we’re trying to get better. We can progress.’”

As for that word “union,” Lillback asked, “Remember how the Bible says ‘how blessed it is when brothers dwell together in unity?’  That’s a biblical value.”

‘Do Justice, Love Mercy’

Then it says “…establish Justice…”   

Lillback quotes Micah 6:8: “‘The Lord has shown you what He requires of you, o man: that you would do justice, love mercy.’ Justice is a biblical concern. Some would say the Ten Commandments define justice.”

Next, it says “…insure domestic Tranquility…”

The Providence Forum founder commented, “That’s to make sure that we live together in peace with one another.  Paul will say in Romans chapter 12, ‘As much as lies within me, I will live at peace with all men.’ The idea of tranquility is a great biblical concern.”

Defense is a Biblical Concern

Next: “…provide for the common defense…”

“To make sure that the vulnerable are protected. We know that one of the great principles of God’s law is to defend the orphan and the widow, the stranger in the land,” Lillback pointed out “And to make sure that there’s not an unjust assault against the community by a foreign power. These are biblical concerns.”

Next: “…promote the general Welfare…”

“As much as lies within us, we should do good to all men, especially to those in the household of faith,” said Lillback who is also the president of Westminster Theological Seminary. “The idea of providing for the needy, that is a concern that’s reflected in biblical ethics.” 

‘Liberty is a Gift of God’

Next:  “…and secure the Blessings of Liberty…”

“I always like to say that the word ‘blessing’ is a word you don’t hear atheists using. The very nature of blessing is something that is being given to us from God,” Lillback explained. “And liberty is something that God has blessed us with.  In fact, we find it in the jubilee text of Leviticus 25 and verse 10 that’s on the Liberty Bell: ‘proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof.’ Liberty is a gift of God.”

Finally: “…to ourselves and our posterity.”

“Our Founders remembered God’s covenantal vision that ‘I will be your God and the God of your children to a thousand generations after you.’ When you talk about to our posterity, that’s the ring of covenantal succession. That’s right out of the scriptures,” Lillback said. “It goes back to the Abrahamic covenant.”

God’s a Lawgiver, Judge & Ruler.  We have Lawgivers, Judges & a President

Then the Constitution lays out our legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government. And all three reflect different aspects of God Himself, shown in the Bible.

“In Isaiah 33:22 where it talks about how our God is a God who is a LAWGIVER — who is in fact a JUDGE. He’s also a king or a RULER. Again, derivatives of God’s very Word, God’s very nature.”

And so the Founders who knew their Bible so well created a government that could imitate and reflect these aspects of God.

A Republic: Can We Keep It?

When a woman asked Benjamin Franklin what kind of government the Constitutional Convention has just come up with, he replied, “A republic if you can keep it.”

And how can we keep it?

Historian Lillback recalled, “Washington said ‘It is impossible for us to succeed unless we imitate the divine author of our blessed religion.’ Those are the words that he said to each of the governors as he was stepping down as a successful general. And in his farewell address as president: ‘Religion and morality are indispensable supports for our political prosperity’.”  

“Remember the logic: to have a republic, you need to have people who are moral because a republic is written on a piece of paper.  Are you going to do what it says?   You have to be committed to doing what is right,” Lillback explained.  “How do you get a moral people?  You need to have a religious people. ‘Religion and morality are indispensable for our political prosperity’.”

No Constitution has Lasted Longer

He summed up for CBN News what the Bible and religious faith did for America through our Founders.

He said, “By learning from His Word, we gain wisdom, and that wisdom creates the longest continuously used Constitution on the face of the earth.”

Why Democrat Analysts Warn Their Party Could Face ‘Deep Trouble’ CBN News / by David Brody

WASHINGTON – President Trump and Republican lawmakers have overcome tough odds to basically steamroll through his second-term agenda. That has left Democrats with a party in an identity crisis filled with questions about how they can recover.  

Ever since Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump, Democrats have been soul-searching. As they try to diagnose the myriad of factors leading to their defeat, being out of touch on cultural issues stands out far above the rest. 

CNN commentator Van Jones said, “Calling everybody sexist and racist and transphobic and every other name and then say, ‘Please follow us?’ That’s not a good strategy, folks.” 

Rahm Emanuel, another Democrat who works as a CNN Commentator, said, “The reason why Democrats are where they are is we started talking about basically transgender issues, Latin X, defunding the police, a whole host of cultural topics.” 

Chuck Todd, the former host of NBC’s “Meet the Press” who now hosts “The Chuck Toddcast,” tells CBN News this disconnect is a potential pothole on the political roadmap. “If there’s another national election that’s more cultural based, the Democrats are in deep trouble,” Todd said.

There’s no doubt that the progressive wing is taking greater control of the Democrat Party. Almost a decade ago in 2016, 48 percent of Democrats considered themselves either liberal or very liberal. Today, that number has jumped seven points. 

“The energy is clearly in the younger progressive base of the party, and yet their problem is with swing voters who are slightly older,” Todd said. 

And that’s where the Trump train comes in. He has picked up many of those blue-collar Democrats, leaving the party in the political wilderness.  

Texas State Rep. James Talarico (D) said, “We have to do something different, something dramatically different.”  

Talarico, who wears his faith on his sleeve, is finishing up his seminary degree. He sees this rough patch as an opportunity. 

“God works out in the wilderness. And I think that can be true in politics, too. I think the Democratic Party should embrace this time in the political wilderness because this is where we can discover who we are,” he said. 

Right now, voters are still wandering, and part of the problem is that Democrats still haven’t found a Moses to lead them through the midterms and 2028 presidential race. 

“Normally, when Democrats are in the wilderness, they look for brand new,” Todd said. “In 1973, nobody was talking about Jimmy Carter. In 1989, Bill Clinton was not on the radar screen. And in 2005, Barack Obama was thought of as, oh, there’ll be somebody interesting in the next decade. Maybe he’ll run for governor of Illinois.”  

“If you’re naming the person now, they’re probably already too stale for where they’re going. I think that you will see, think ‘new and not from Washington’ is gonna be the two most important characteristics for the Democratic primary in 2028,” he said. 

But first things first: right now, Democrats are struggling within their own ranks. Just 23% expressed positive sentiments about their party; 35% called it weak or ineffective; and 73% felt that congressional Democrats have not done enough to oppose Trump. 

Democrat researcher Jonathan Voss said, “In focus groups, when we talk to voters and we ask them, what’s the animal that you think of when you think of the Democratic Party, people will say things like, ‘I think of a turtle,’ right? They move slowly and then they kind of hunker down within their shell when the going gets tough. 

“And right now, I think what Democratic rank and file want to see is they don’t want to see the turtle,” he said. 

Over the last few months, Democrats have tried to shed that image. Case in point, Cory Booker’s Senate filibuster against the president’s policies, where he declared, “It’s time for Democrats to have a backbone. It’s time for us to fight. It’s time for us to draw lines.” Then there was House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries’ marathon speech against the president’s Big Beautiful Bill.  

Voss said, “We need to make the case that we can do a better job helping people in terms of their mobility and their wellbeing without being saddled as the party of the status quo.”  

Indeed, the Democrats must change their stripes. Up until now, the question has been will it be toward the middle or left?

The recent trend in local primaries is far left as mayoral candidates in New York, Seattle, and Minnesota have defeated the more traditional liberal Democrat. Ultimately, however, the Democrats’ march toward a better political future may just simply ride on how Americans, especially those once blue-collar Democrats and swing voters, feel about Trump’s economy. 

“Either they like this economy and he can create a durable, long-term realignment, or if they continue not to like the economy like the previous turn, then those voters may reluctantly come back,” Todd said. “I think we’re still in a period where that group of voters is still vacillating.” 
 
Talarico said, “We’re the party of the New Deal. We’re the party of the Great Society, another Texas Democratic president. You know, that is our heritage, is fighting for working people, fighting for the people who are left out and left behind, not coastal elites and not billionaire donors.” 

Voss said, “If the Democratic Party can establish itself as a party of change, as a party that can make life better for people, I think it has a better opportunity in 2026 and 2028.” 
 
Until then, it’s safe to say the Democrat Party is a work in progress.
