Blue blowback: More than 100 police agencies bow out of DNC convention over crowd rules

Most agencies are pulling out citing Milwaukee’s new ban on the use of tear gas and pepper spray by police

More than 100 police agencies are now backing out of agreements to send officers to next Month’s Democratic National Convention, in Milwaukee. Among the given reasons is that officers are concerned about a recent order by local authorities halting the use tear gas to control unruly crowds.

Last week, the Milwaukee police chief was order to justify his department’s usage of tear gas during protests in late May and early June spurred by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. A citizen oversight commission has now ordered the Milwaukee police department to ban the use of tear gas and pepper spray. Police Chief Alfonso Morales reportedly could lose his position, should he fail to meet that requirement.

Since the order went into effect, Morales says that more than 100 law enforcement agencies from in-state and across the country have opted against coming to Milwaukee for the convention. The initial plan for the convention included having 1,000 officers on hand to assist with security measures. Morales now says the city is considering asking for assistance from the federal government and/or mobilizing the National Guard.

In my opinion it just shows how out of touch democrats are to ask police for safety when they are actively trying to defund and are constantly blaming police at every turn. In my mind this is more reap what you sow than anything else. Why is it only the ruling class gets protection in this country? Democrats want your money, guns, religion and your soul to bow down to their version of little (god) government. They always know best, as long as it hinders your freedom. Tyranny vs Freedom in 2020 election. Watch and learn what the future will hold. You are seeing it play out before your eyes.

Rep. Ken Buck: ‘This has to stop. We can’t let Antifa continue terrorizing our country’

Ben Wilson Jul 28, 2020

Amidst a tense and interruption-filled hearing, Representative Ken Buck (R-CO) used a portion of his time to speak to Attorney General Barr, his fellow members, and Americans watching about the dangers Antifa poses to the nation — and why they must be stopped.

Buck referenced a peaceful pro-police rally held in his home state of Colorado. Families and older individuals were among the rally-goers who joined to express their appreciation for the men and women in blue.

“Counter protestors were given plenty of space to advocate their message,” Buck said. “But as the afternoon wore on, a swarm of violent Antifa thugs infiltrated peaceful Black Lives Matter counter protestors and began assaulting pro-police Americans.”

The Congressman said the local police were ordered to retreat once members of Antifa were seen at the rally. He highlighted one lieutenant who stayed to protect the peaceful protestors.

The United States’ policy is crystal clear: The South China Sea is not China’s maritime empire. If Beijing violates international law and free nations do nothing, history shows the CCP will simply take more territory. China Sea disputes must be resolved through international law.
