Italian Demolitions Expert Believes Lithium-Metal Involved in Beirut Explosion

While Danilo Coppe believes ammonium nitrate may have very well been involved, the Italian expert is convinced that lithium-metal was certainly involved in the explosion.

The explosion that occurred last Tuesday in Beirut remains surrounded by a lot of unknowns. While we do know that over 160 people were killed and roughly 5,000 injured, the actual source remains a mystery. It’s suggested that over 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate were involved. However, Italian demolitions expert Danilo Coppe suggests that while ammonium nitrate was likely a factor, other explosives certainly played a role.

Coppe explained his skepticism stating, “I do not believe there was that amount of ammonium nitrate at the Port of Beirut, nor that there was a fireworks depot,” even though there did appear to be fireworks that were detonated during the initial fire. He argues that certain evidence points to the fact that an explosive like lithium-metal was involved.

He explained, “Instead, from the videos of the explosion, in addition to the white sphere that can be seen expanding – which is condensation of the sea air – you can clearly see a brick orange column tending to bright red, typical of lithium’s presence.”

Several reports in the last week have suggested that a type of rocket fuel was involved, leading to the conclusion for many that Hezbollah was using at least one of the facilities to produce precision-guided missiles.

Shortly after the blast, Former Lebanese President Michel Aoun stated, “There are two possibilities for what happened. Either it was a result of negligence or external interference by a missile or a bomb.”August 10th, 2020|News http://www.BeholdIsrael.org/news

Lebanese Minister of Information Resigns Amid Growing National Anger

Manal Abdel-Samad submitted her resignation on Sunday in the wake of national protests targeted towards a corrupt government.

Following the national protests that took place over the weekend in Beirut, Lebanon’s Minister of Information Manal Abdel-Samad resigned on Sunday. This comes in the aftermath of the unprecedented explosion that took place last week, killing over 160 people. Without question, the frustration of the Lebanese people has reached its peak when it comes to government corruption.

Supposedly, at least one other minister close to the prime minister is expected to resign soon as well. Several other lawmakers have also resigned.

Within her letter of resignation, Samad portrayed her disappointment when it comes to failing the Lebanese people. She added, “Given the magnitude of the catastrophe caused by the Beirut earthquake that shook the nation and hurt our hearts and minds, and in respect for the martyrs, and the pains of the wounded, missing and displaced, and in response to the public will for change, I resign from the government.”

The Lebanese people have carried out protests several times in the last year, primarily targeting their corrupt government, which has resulted in a devastated economy. It’s estimated that nearly three-quarters of the country needs some sort of humanitarian aid. And now, post-explosion, over 300,000 additional people have been left homeless.August 9th, 2020|News http://www.BeholdIsrael.com

massive explosion rocked Beirut on Tuesday, an eyewitness told Just the News moments after the incident occurred.

The explosion appears to have occurred near Lebanon’s port and has resulted in injuries and widespread damage, according to multiple report.

However, it remain unclear whether the explosion was an accident or an attack.

The afternoon blast shook several parts of the Lebanon capital and residents reported windows being blown out.

The Just the News eyewitness said the incident “looks like a major attack with casualties.”

The Jerusalem Post first reported the explosion, followed by a tall plume of smoke that could be seen from a distance.

The eyewitness being interviewed by phone by Just the News was talking about Middle East security when the explosion was heard.

Iron Drone intercepts rocket fired from Gaza. No injuries

The southern town of Sderot Sunday night was enjoying its first entertainment, a drive-in movie show, since the outbreak of the coronavirus,  when a red alert signaling an incoming Palestinian rocket from the Gaza Strip and explosions sent them running for shelter. No one was hurt but many of the parked vehicles were damaged by falling shrapnel from the rocket’s interception by an Iron Dome. The attack coincided with the changing of the Gaza division’s command: Brig..Nimrod Aloni took over from Brig. Eliezer Toledano.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad is believed responsible for the rocket fire in revenge for Israel’s targeted assassination its leader Al Atta last November.

Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted on Friday: “US occupies territory of another state and then harasses its scheduled civil airliner – endangering innocent civilian passengers – ostensibly to protect its occupation forces… These outlaws must be stopped before disaster.”

Iran’s Transportation Minister Mohammad Eslami described the air incident over Syria earlier Friday as a “terrorist act” and said Tehran would complain to the International Civil Aviation Organization” and demand condemnation. The details of the incident are still being investigated and afterward we will initiate political and legal steps,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mussawi.

·The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman just said that the cyber attacks on the Natanz nuclear site in early July were all coming from the region of the United States!

The head of the communications for the Turkish presidential palace just said that Turkey has the sufficient military power “to crush the illegal Libyan front.”

Flight radar from an hour ago: Iranian weapon shipments from Tehran to Damascus don’t stop even for one minute. This is a 747 cargo plane affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). I guess tonight will be another busy night for the Israeli Air Force.
