Kosovo & Serbia Set to Move Embassies to Jerusalem

Following the historic agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kosovo has announced the normalization of ties with Israel; Both Kosovo and Serbia are set to move their embassies to Jerusalem.

As of Friday, both Kosovo & Serbia announced their intentions to move their embassies to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. Furthermore, on Friday, Kosovo announced that it will be normalizing its diplomatic ties with Israel. This is significant as Kosovo is a Muslim-majority country, and the first of such to move its embassy to Jerusalem.

After the announcement, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi took to Twitter stating, “I welcome the announcement of Israeli PM @netanyahu about the genuine intention to recognize #Kosovo and establish diplomatic relations. Kosovo will keep its promise to place its diplomatic mission in #Jerusalem.”

Following the news, US President Trump also tweeted, “Another great day for peace with the Middle East – Muslim-majority Kosovo and Israel have agreed to normalize ties and establish diplomatic relations. Well-done! More Islamic and Arab nations will follow soon!”

Kosovo’s decision follows the recent move by the UAE to normalize diplomatic ties with the Jewish State. And given the recent trip by US officials to the Middle East and what we’ve now witnessed with Kosovo and Serbia, it’s likely that more countries are soon to follow.September 5th, 2020|News copied from BeholdIsrael.org

Islamist Group Arrests Syrian Christian Teacher for Refusing to Give Up His School

An Islamist rebel group affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and backed by Turkey has arrested a Christian Syrian teacher for refusing to surrender his school building for Islamic training.

Radwan Muhammad, 40, is the headmaster of a school in a northwestern Syrian village near the Afrin province.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reports that the arrest to place on July 30 after Muhammad told the Failaq al-Sham rebels, “I will hand you the building in one case only: if Jesus Christ comes down to earth again.”

Muhammad had another recent incident with the Islamist group after his wife, who had converted to Christianity, passed away. The group would not let her body be buried according to the local Christian traditions.

Nihad Hassan, pastor of a Kurdish church in Beirut, Lebanon said, “We are extremely worried about Radwan’s life and well-being. He is being held at Failaq Al-Sham’s headquarters in Afrin and they may execute him. Those Islamist groups and their Turkish masters are walking in the footsteps of IS. In fact, many of their fighters are former IS and al Qaeda members.”

CSW Chief Executive Mervyn Thomas called for an end to this persecution against Christians and also asked for Muhammad’s release.

Turkey must stop the rebels and “immediately bring to an end all forms of violence and human rights abuses in the areas they control,” Thomas said. “We are deeply concerned for Mr. Muhammad’s welfare and we urge his abductors to release him immediately and without condition. We also urge the Turkish authorities to intervene.”

Middle East

While the world is occupied with a virus, the Middle East is a powder keg waiting to be lit. The past two weeks have seen strange explosion around the Nuclear facility in Iran, a huge explosion in Lebanon, and fires being set in various places. Israel is on high alert due to Hezbollah. Watch! Turkey is one to watch as they lay claim to new territory.  Israel, Cyprus and Greece signed a deal in January for a pipeline and then finalized aspects of that deal in July.  Israel, Cyprus and Greece signed a deal in January for a pipeline and then finalized aspects of that deal in July.
Turkey is sending its navy to sea with drilling and survey ships this week to challenge these deals and put its facts on the ground. Turkey sent the Oruc Reis ship to conduct “survey activity” far in the Mediterranean between Cyprus and Crete. Turkey says it will “defend the rights” of itself and Northern Cyprus, an unrecognized country that Turkey factors into its claims at sea. Lots going on in the world today.

Italian Demolitions Expert Believes Lithium-Metal Involved in Beirut Explosion

While Danilo Coppe believes ammonium nitrate may have very well been involved, the Italian expert is convinced that lithium-metal was certainly involved in the explosion.

The explosion that occurred last Tuesday in Beirut remains surrounded by a lot of unknowns. While we do know that over 160 people were killed and roughly 5,000 injured, the actual source remains a mystery. It’s suggested that over 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate were involved. However, Italian demolitions expert Danilo Coppe suggests that while ammonium nitrate was likely a factor, other explosives certainly played a role.

Coppe explained his skepticism stating, “I do not believe there was that amount of ammonium nitrate at the Port of Beirut, nor that there was a fireworks depot,” even though there did appear to be fireworks that were detonated during the initial fire. He argues that certain evidence points to the fact that an explosive like lithium-metal was involved.

He explained, “Instead, from the videos of the explosion, in addition to the white sphere that can be seen expanding – which is condensation of the sea air – you can clearly see a brick orange column tending to bright red, typical of lithium’s presence.”

Several reports in the last week have suggested that a type of rocket fuel was involved, leading to the conclusion for many that Hezbollah was using at least one of the facilities to produce precision-guided missiles.

Shortly after the blast, Former Lebanese President Michel Aoun stated, “There are two possibilities for what happened. Either it was a result of negligence or external interference by a missile or a bomb.”August 10th, 2020|News http://www.BeholdIsrael.org/news
