The War Over Counsel – A Cry From Samaria by Tania Curado Koenig

A little long, but another outstanding article by Tania. Straight from the land of Israel. What a love she has for Israel and the covenant of God. Rh

From my balcony on Itzchak Kariv Street, the Old City lies before me, its stones catching the first thin light. The Tower of David catches the first gleam of the sun, and the stones along Mount Zion turn from grey to gold. The air is still, carrying the faint smell of olives and dust. Below, the streets are empty; only the soft hum of the waking city moves through the valley. It is one of those moments when Jerusalem feels suspended between heaven and history — unchanging in appearance, yet alive with the weight of decisions being written far beyond these walls.

Inside, my notes from Thursday’s meeting with Governor Yossi Dagan cover the table. His words still fill the room. They echo the headlines arriving by the hour — renewed pressure from Washington, the Istanbul declaration, and Israel’s unresolved struggle over sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

When Bill and I met Dagan in Jerusalem on 30 October, I asked whether he was disappointed. “Yes,” he said — and began to explain why.

In late September, after President Trump publicly told Arab partners that his renewed peace framework would exclude any annexation of Judea and Samaria, Dagan booked a flight to New York. “I went to speak with the prime minister before he met the president,” he said. “It was the last chance to talk about Judea and Samaria.”

He met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for nearly two hours on the eve of the 29 September White House meeting. Dagan, who has known him for twenty years, expected debate; he found resignation.

“When I looked at his eyes,” Dagan said, “I saw a woman who has been raped — violated, stripped of choice. That’s what had been done to him. There was nothing left to say. I changed my own speech after that.”

For Dagan, the image was not anger but diagnosis: a leader already constrained by forces beyond the room.

The following day Netanyahu and Trump presented their twenty-point regional framework. Annexation was missing. Washington’s goal was to consolidate Arab partners after the August strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites. Keeping that coalition intact meant postponing Israeli sovereignty. The calculation was strategic; the cost, national. Dagan left New York convinced that the decision on Judea and Samaria had been made elsewhere.

Five weeks later, the same pattern appeared again. In a CBS 60 Minutes interview aired 2 November, Trump said he had “pushed Netanyahu” to accept the Gaza cease-fire and that the U.S. would “be involved” in the Israeli premier’s criminal trial “to help him out.” Whatever the intention, the effect confirmed Dagan’s private description: policy and justice influenced from outside.

Meanwhile, Turkey and six allied Muslim states met in Istanbul on 3 November, declaring that Gaza’s reconstruction “must be Palestinian-led and free of foreign hegemony.” It was a diplomatic move to assert Muslim stewardship over Gaza’s future — another conversation about Israel held without Israel in the room.

The Istanbul meeting also revealed a deeper alignment taking shape: Ankara and Riyadh finding cautious common ground after years of rivalry, both intent on shaping a post-Gaza regional order. Diplomats in Amman and Cairo now describe a “Muslim-Arab coordination framework” designed to pre-empt Western trusteeship plans and keep reconstruction funds under regional control. It is the kind of quiet restructuring that redraws influence maps without a single shot fired.

Inside Israel, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich speaks of annexation maps and preparatory committees, but no formal act of sovereignty has been announced. Analysts now call it “de facto annexation without de jure decision.” For Dagan, that phrase describes exactly what he feared in New York: when sovereignty is deferred, it is already being surrendered.

The political opposition is divided on how to answer it. Centrist parties accuse the government of “diplomatic paralysis,” while coalition hard-liners call for a declaration of sovereignty before the next American election cycle. Behind the scenes, senior security officials warn that any unilateral step could freeze cooperation with Jordan and the Gulf. The argument has moved from ideology to timing — how long Israel can wait before delay becomes default.

As head of the Samaria Regional Council, Dagan oversees forty communities and about forty thousand residents. His work is administrative — zoning, roads, schools, security coordination — but its purpose is political: to make Israeli law a living fact in areas still governed by interim arrangements.

“We build factories, kindergartens, roads,” he said. “But the signature is still missing.”

To Dagan, the fight is not ideological but structural — who drafts Israel’s decisions before they are announced. Annexation, he believes, was lost not in debate but in pre-decision counsel — the quiet briefings where diplomatic logic overrode conviction. “Before borders move,” he told us, “voices move.”

Dagan often contrasts two Israels. One lives by covenant, grounded in the belief that Judea and Samaria are inseparable from national identity. The other lives by contract, prioritizing alignments that postpone decisions. The tension between them now defines Israeli politics: conviction weighed against caution, and action delayed by diplomacy.

From my balcony in Mamilla, the Old City glows under the first light of morning. The rays of sunlight spread slowly across the ancient stones, carrying echoes of prayers and promises spoken through centuries. The walls look unchanged, but every negotiation still reverberates against them — reminders that power shifts, but covenant endures.

Here in Jerusalem, history and eternity breathe in the same air. Decisions are debated in far capitals, yet this city remains what she has always been: the heart of a promise made by God Himself. Governments may write policies; only He writes destiny.

As the sun rises, the gold deepens on the domes and rooftops, and Jerusalem stands radiant — the city of the Almighty, the wife of the Judge of the universe. Politics may pass, leaders may falter, but His promises remain unchangeable, and His love over her endures forever.

Are We Better Today?

I wonder sometimes how you could be living at the time when the Nazi’s came into power, and not realize who they were or what they intended to do to the Jews.. We always want to condemn the German people, saying they should’ve spoken , they should’ve done something, why could they not find their Voice? The churches that had service near the railroad tracks were told to sing louder as the trains would go by taking the Jews to the concentration camps.  Trying to drown out the sounds of not only the trains, but the screams of the Jews who had been loaded into the trains like cattle for slaughter.  Are we any better today?

France, England, Australia, and Canada among other nations are promoting a two state solution in the nation of Israel. They are in effect backing a group of people that invaded a peaceful music festival and went on a killing spree, murdering and raping and taking captive innocent young people.  Hamas crossed the border on October 7th without any warning, like cowards in the middle of the night and without any warning.  And they cared not whether they were Jews or other nationalities, as long as they were there and on the land of Israel, then they were fair game to be murdered. You woke hippocritical countries spread lies about the Jews about those that live in Israel, are you not just as bad as those that kept their mouth shut when the Jews in Poland were sent to the gas chambers?  Are we any better today?

Even here in America, one of the most popular podcasts had a far right wing supremacist on his highly popular podcast. Tucker Carlson, who has joined the ranks of the antisemites, gave a platform to a known Jew hating extremist.  Nick Fuentes who speaks of his desire to drive “Zionist Jews,” out of American life. Fuentes is also a holocaust denier.”  Let’s not let Tucker off the hook either.  He calls Christians who support Israel,  like Senator Ted Cruz, Ambassador Huckleby and others, heretics.  Good old Qatarlson is always pushing the false narrative of the radical left and the woke right about Israel and the so-called “Palestinians.”  Young people especially are susceptible to Tucker’s lies and innuendos about Israel.  Even some churches and otherwise good Christians will swallow his lies. How can we,  a sane society fall for the lies of the haters of Israel.  We should know better, but we are deceived by the constant propaganda of the media and the left around the world.  Are we any better today?

On another note, we were shocked at the medical experiments the Nazi”s performed on the Jews and Gypsies.  But are we better off with our penchant for abortion up to and through birth?  Planned Parenthood sells aborted babies body parts, even profiting on that sale, making money on murder.  What of the Gender confusion?  Well known hospitals and doctors are cutting off body parts of healthy boys and girls so they could presumably change genders.  Mutilation and killing from a profession that is called to heal and do no harm.  Hippocratic oath anyone?  And beyond that expecting a society to celebrate what years ago would be called mental disease.  Are we any better today?

Political violence is on the rampage.  A huge section of the left says it is ok to violently protest and even do harm to conservatives.  The recent assassination of Charlie Kirk brought out the crazies.  Teachers, social media influencers and politicians were not even expressing sympathy for the loss of life.  Many even encouraged this type of insane action to those they disagree with.  What has become of us?  Who are we?  Are we any better today?

Let me be clear, I love America.  We are not a righteous nation, and neither is Israel.  (So don’t throw that argument at me.)  We need revival in this country as well as around the world.  The same devil and the same hatred is here today as in any other decade.  Prayer, confession and repentance is the only way to ensure our safety and further prosperity.  Pray for the United States of America to regain its moral compass.  Our foundations need to be restored.  Sin is sin.  Are we any better today?  No

Just my opinion.  Maranatha!

Tucker Carlson Joins Nick Fuentes in Slamming Israel and Christians Aren’t Staying Silent – Charisma Magazine Online

Tucker Carlson calls Christian Zionists “heretics,” but Scripture clearly affirms God’s covenant with Israel and commands believers to bless and pray for Jerusalem.

Don’t you just love it when influencers who know nothing about Bible prophecy attempt to push an agenda and call out Christians for their stand for Israel? Be careful who you listen to and follow, they are sowing seeds straight from the pit of Hell, and getting paid for it. Deception is running rampant in today’s society and in the Church. Make sure you know what the Word says and keep your focus on Jesus. I stand with Israel, because God hasn’t given up on them. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may God protect them from their enemies.

Never in my wildest imaginations would I have thought New York City, site of the Twin Towers terror attack would even be thinking about a vote for this Islamist Mamdani. New Your how you have fallen, may your eyes be opened to what you are about to do. The Jewish community must vote against this evil. Rh.

Has The World Turned Upside Down??

I am not sure, outside of peace at any cost, what Trump is thinking. Coddling and praising a sponsor of terrorism is not a good look. “Everlasting peace, not going to happen until Jesus comes. Rh

HAVE WE LOST OUR MINDS?

The man Trump is now praising as “one of the great rulers of the world” is the same man photographed warmly embracing Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal — the architect of suicide bombings, rocket barrages, and the October 7 jihad massacre.

This is not old news. This is the same ruler of Qatar — right now.

Qatar has:

• Housed Hamas leadership in state-protected luxury compounds

• Wired hundreds of millions into Gaza under the “aid” pretext

• Served as headquarters for the Muslim Brotherhood’s command

• Given political cover to jihadi clerics

• Maintained active ties with al-Qaeda affiliates and the Taliban

And now we are clapping for him on Air Force One?

Qatar did not stop funding jihad — America just stopped telling the truth about Qatar.

So remind me again:

When exactly are we “banning the Muslim Brotherhood”?

New Policy of Israel

The Policy of the Trump Administration is that the West Bank (Judea & Samaria) will not be annexed by Israel

Vance calls it an insult on Israel annexing the West Bank and calls it. “Stupid “ political stunt. (It’s their biblical land) West bank is Judea and Samaria.

Trump tells reporters, (don’t worry about it, won’t happen).  “They aren’t going to do anything about it.”

Trump in Time Magazine “Israel would lose all of its support from the United States if that happened,” he said.  “It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries.”

To be fair, Netanyahu also did not want the vote. (Appeasement to the Trump administration?) or something else.  There are factions in Israel that want Netanyahu ousted.

The (West Bank) as Vance  called it (carefully chosen words?) Is actuality in Judea & Samaria, a part of Biblical land given to Abraham in the eternal covenant.

IMO – It was the Trump administration’s own ambassador Huckabee who began the push during the war with Hamas to start calling and visiting the Biblical land of Judea and Samaria.  This idea began to take on some steam until the past few weeks during this rush to make peace before the job by the IDF could be finished.  No doubt in my mind that the connection with Israel has been somewhat severed, and the ties to the Arab and Muslim countries have been pushed to the forefront during negotiations.

Listen I understand politics but God takes a very stern view of dividing the land. The big question is whether not allowing Israel, due to sensitivities of the Muslim world, should that halt Israel from annexing their homeland?  I think it matters.  I personally think it does equate.  It is always Israel that has to fight for every square inch of their land.  It’s always about Israel’s land.  To be fair it was only a symbolic vote.  But it is their God given inheritance.

The concern for me and I hope many other Christian Conservatives is how easily American politicians turn their back on Israel and make strong statements of what will happen in the Middle East.  Admittedly the Middle East is a quagmire of political and religious obstacles.

Petro $ and investment or the covenant. I choose the covenant.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio – Remarks in Israel

Headlines from the remarks of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a visit to the International Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat:

Although there are difficulties in implementing the ceasefire, there are reasons for optimism.

We are working to create a better life for the residents of Gaza without Hamas.

If Hamas refuses to disarm, this will be a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

We expect the complete disarmament of Hamas.

All parties have agreed that Hamas will have no future role in the Gaza Strip.

The international force to be deployed in Gaza should be composed of soldiers from countries with which Israel feels comfortable (this is in response to the question regarding the deployment of Turkish soldiers – West Bank).

Applying Israeli sovereignty in the West Bank threatens the peace process; I believe this will not happen.

UNRWA will not be able to play any role in Gaza – it belongs to Hamas.

Judea & Samaria

Right now there are two different bills being pushed forward in the Israeli Knesset. Both dealing with Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank. Trump is once again dictating to Israel. This should be their decision. Covenant matters more than investments. Rh

Trump on applying Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria: It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab states. Israel will lose all support from the US if it happens.

Judea and Samaria are the heartland of the Jewish ancestral homeland.
It is here that the stories of the patriarchs unfolded – the very foundation of our faith and history.

Now ask yourself: what matters more – appeasing Arab states that opposed even the move of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, or standing firm for what is right according to biblical truth?

I’ll let you be the judge. Amir Tsarfati

Israeli Diaspora minister: Erdogan a ‘sworn enemy’ of Israel, West

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly ruled out Turkey’s participation in the International Stabilization Force in Gaza.

(Oct. 21, 2025 / JNS)

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a “sworn enemy of Israel and the West, a jihadist in a suit,” Amichai Chikli, the Jewish state’s minister of diaspora affairs and combating antisemitism, charged on Monday.

The Jewish state “will not tolerate a Turkish presence” on its southern border with the Gaza Strip or northern frontier with Syria, Chikli tweeted, slamming Ankara’s potential involvement in U.S. President Donald Trump’s recently-launched peace plan for the Middle East.

“‘May Allah, for the sake of His name … destroy and devastate Zionist Israel.’ This sentence was not uttered by a Hamas or Hezbollah leader, it was said in a public prayer on March 30, 2025, by the President of Turkey,” the Israeli Cabinet minister noted in his post on X.

Erdogan “is consistently trying to undermine the Jewish people’s eternal bond with their capital,” according to Chikli, who said that the Muslim leader “likely never opened the Quran nor heard of King David and Solomon, both praised in Surah Al-Anbiya and other chapters.”

“We remind the ignorant dictator Erdogan of one simple truth,” Chikli wrote. “Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel since the days of King David 1,500 years before the birth of Muhammad, and 2,500 years before the imperial-colonial Ottoman occupation.”

Erdogan’s remarks were “not slips of the tongue. They are the words of dangerous enemy,” he concluded.

In a statement backed by Trump last week, Erdogan pledged support for Washington’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip, committing to supporting post-conflict management in the coastal enclave after the war ends.

Under the plan, Turkey has committed to deploying search and rescue teams to Gaza to help recover the bodies of slain hostages and clear up the rubble. Ankara is also expected to join a multinational task force overseeing the ceasefire and assisting in the training of local forces.

However, according to an Israel Hayom report on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ruled out Turkey’s participation in the International Stabilization Force, defining it as Israel’s “red line.”

Netanyahu has reportedly also communicated reservations about Turkish companies participating in the reconstruction of the Strip.

Israel Hayom cited political sources as saying that Netanyahu’s mention of “new threats” in a Knesset speech on Monday referred to the growing influence of Turkey and Qatar. Trump is said to hold Ankara and Doha in high regard, while Israel views both nations as destabilizing forces.

Ze’ev Elkin, who serves as an additional minister in the Israeli Finance Ministry, told the nation’s Kan Reshet Bet radio station on Tuesday that Jerusalem “must act” to limit Turkish involvement in the Gaza Strip.

“We all hear Erdogan’s statements,” the minister said, adding that while “the Emirates can be trusted a bit more, ” he did not have faith in their ability to effectively disarm Hamas as required under Trump’s plan.

Turkey is believed to have been among the issues discussed during Netanyahu’s meetings on Monday with Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, and his Mideast envoy, Steve Witkoff, Israel Hayom reported. Reported by JNS News

Mamdani vows to ‘exhaust every legal option’ to arrest Netanyahu

We see what has happened to London and the entire European continent, reformation seems to be coming to Europe with a devastation that is soon to be on the shores of America.  The once great European capitals are now filled with the sound of the Muslim call to prayer.  Just as surely as the first reformation was brought to America, so too will this last reforming of Europe be here soon.

The effects of a Mandani victory will have lasting consequences on the once great city of New York.  Jews have continually supported far left wing Democrats, who have just as easily condemned the state of Israel as making a comment about the weather.  I hate to say it, but they are reaping what has been sown over the last 40 years.

What of the financial district of New York?  What of the stock market, (full blown socialism in a city with the world’s premier capitalist symbol) I think not.  Would a move outside of NY be a result. What of Mandani control of the police and the court systems.  The courts are already a joke,  And NO Mandani, you have no authority to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu.

If you think it’s bad now, just wait, “you ain’t seen nothing yet.”  The streets will be ablaze with Jew hatred that could make NY uninhabitable for Jews.  Amir Tsafati once said on a radio program, “there is no place safe for the Jews, but Israel.”  I totally agree.

How could this once great city allow a radical Islamist to govern NY.  How could the Democratic part allow this to happen? The only conclusion is they truly are the new Socialist Party of America.

I see tears streaming down the face of Lady Liberty.  Rh

Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist frontrunner in the New York City mayoral race, reiterated his vow to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if Netanyahu enters New York City and stated that he would “exhaust every legal option” to put Israel’s leader in handcuffs.

Speaking with Martha MacCallum on Fox News yesterday (Wednesday), Mandani claimed that carrying out the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants against Netanyahu would uphold international law.

“I’ve said that this is a city that believes [in] international law, and this is a city that wants to uplift and uphold those beliefs,” he said.
