USA Today Looks to Bounce ORU from NCAAEveryone loves an underdog. Well, almost everyone. While the rest of the country rallies around Oral Roberts University, cheering on the Cinderella of this year’s NCAA basketball tournament, USA Today says the slipper doesn’t fit. The small Tulsa college is evangelical, they announce, as if it’s news. That means they believe the Bible. And if they believe the Bible, an editor argues, there should be no place for them on the court — or anywhere else in polite society.

Obviously the elitist are nuts. They are the bigots. I found a new team to root for. Go ORU!!

South Carolina to Become Latest State to Pass Heartbeat Bill

South Carolina is on the verge of passing a bill banning abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, making it the latest state to move forward with pro-life legislation.

The state legislature’s House Judiciary Committee approved the “heartbeat” bill by a nearly 2-1 margin Tuesday, teeing up the legislation for a vote on the House floor. The statesenate passed the bill by a 30-13 margin with one Republican voting against the bill and one Democrat voting for it. The legislation would effectively ban abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, around the point at which a fetal heartbeat is detected, with an exception for cases of rape, incest, and the health of the mother. Pro-abortion advocates criticized the legislation for its extreme nature and alleged it would force women to give birth

France Considers Evangelicals A Threat For Putting God Above Law Of The Republic

Evangelical Christians in France are expressing unease as they see how the national government inflames the rhetoric against their churches.
The last episode has to do with the words of the French Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin. In an interview with tv broadcaster C News, he said: “Evangelicals are a very important problem”, only to add, “obviously not a problem of the same nature than the Islamism that makes terrorist attacks and deaths”.
One day before, speaking about the controversial anti-separatism law that is expected to be passed soon, he told radio broadcaster France Inter: “We cannot discuss with people who refuse to write on paper that the law of the Republic is superior to the law of God”.

Sunday is Here

Remember God is still in control. My faith stands in the word of the living God. I am still believing for God to make a change in this nation and in this election. But Mark my words if he does not I have not lost faith in God and I will fight to the bitter end to save this great republic. I Stand…..

What we need now is millions of fire breathed Christians to stand on the word of God and pray as we never have before. We must have revival, or we are lost as a country regardless of who wins the election.

Our great republic will only stand if it has a moral base to operate from.

I Still Stand…Until Proven Wrong

As a born-again Spirit filled believer I understand what it means to stand and walk in faith. I understand that we have the power to come against principalities and power according to Ephesians 6:10-13. I also know that Jesus said in Mark 11 that we could speak to the mountain and it would be removed into the sea.

I am also a man that lives in the real world, and for whatever reason sometimes our prayers do not work. Is it not in the perfect will of God? Is it double mindedness? I don’t know. Saying all that I truly hope that the videos and words sent to me from good and Godly people come true, I pray everyday that God would move heaven and earth to accomplish our prayers for this nation. Normal Americans are appalled at what the ruling class politicians are attempting to do. Stolen election and stifling the 1st Amendment is truly scary. Lockdowns, shut downs, forced vaccinations and thought police roaming the internet taking away our fought for freedoms. That is enough to keep one awake at night. What scares me the most is that God is sovereign and His will trumps (no pun intended) ours. If our hope is not realized, we need to understand we are in a battle for our very lives and way of life. It will be a Warring Church that leads us out of this chaos we seem headed for. To God be the glory. Either way…

We stand with Christ and His Word.

Freedoms Lost

I fear that we in this country have forgotten how free we used to be. Being old as I am I can remember how wonderful this country was when the federal government did not tell us what to do,what to eat, whether we should wear a mask or whether we should even celebrate Christmas. I long for the days of freedom. I will not be a slave. I will stand for freedom. It’s time for the church and all people to stand up and say No, I will not submit. I fear that we in this country have forgotten how free we used to be. Being old as I am I can remember how wonderful this country was when the federal government did not tell us what to do what to eat whether we should wear a mask or whether we should even celebrate Christmas. I long for the days of freedom. I will not be a slave. I will stand for freedom. It’s time for the church and people of all stripes to say no more.

My freedom is ultimately found in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Cry

The ministry of Jesus began with a cry in a manger. It finished with a cry from a cross. It was all about you. God so longs to bring you back to Himself and eternally home. He hears your cry. The question is, can you hear His cry for you today? “ do you hear what I hear?”@CarterConlon. Times Square Church

The American Spirit

We have lost the true meaning of being an American.  Americans are a true breed of people, not in birthright, but in the indelible spirit of freedom and the expectancy of a better life and world to come.  Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is not a catch phrase, but a true and noble idea that all true Americans, not only long for, but pursue to their dying breath.  The spirit of can do, a spirit of hope and expectancy is not found in great measure today, rather a sense of doom,  gloom and failure prevails among our society.  Utopia will not be reached, but a good, moral and noble country is well within reach.

What is the American spirit?  As I reach the soon to be twilight of my existence on this Earth I find I think more of what was, rather than what could be. I fear in our haste to rush toward a more European existence we have completely lost what made us who we are.  Rugged individualism and not compromise is what Americans do.  We desire what is noble and fair.  It doesn’t take a roundtable of intelligentsia expounding hot air to know the truth, it is inbreed within us.  It is not a poll to determine our position or a fear of what one might say, it is knowing and doing what is the right.

You see my friends we are the last great hope for mankind, if we fail in this 244 year experiment into freedom, the entire world will follow us to destruction and a new fearfully prophesied world ruling power will soon come upon the scene.  I see the future hanging in the balance.  At times tears flow and I long for the old America.  She was not perfect, but she was free.  We faced our troubled demons head on, taking years to fix, but we fixed them. We aren’t perfect, but we are the land of the free and the home of the brave. Rule of law and fair play, which is missing today, was a cornerstone we stood on. Equal protection under the law and equality of rights we envisioned for all.  Lady Justice has taken off her blindfolds.  As the Bible declares in Isaiah 59, “Justice is turned back and truth falls in the street”.

We are the only nation on the face of the earth with a saying such as this, the American Dream.  To borrow an eloquent title from a wonderful movie that typifies who we were and who we should attempt to become again to save this republic.  I ask the question, do we have The Right Stuff?
