State AG: Why many are refusing to follow Biden’s abortion agenda

Bob Unruh WND

Steve Marshall serves as the attorney general for the state of Alabama, and in an interview with the Washington Stand is explaining why his state, and more than a dozen others, are refusing to go along with Joe Biden’s latest abortion promotion.

In this case, the Biden administration has actively hijacked a definitively pro-life law and turned it around to direct support to the nation’s lucrative abortion industry.

Marshall, joining “Watchington Watch,” explained the law involved is the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which was written to protect expectant mothers from unfair discrimination.

But Joe Biden’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has added to the congressional action a rule that turns it into a scheme that benefits abortionists.

He explained the original bill, bipartisan in its support was to “make sure that we accommodate pregnant women in the workplace because we want to have healthy pregnancies and children that come to birth.”

The EEOC then pushed forward an abortion rule that would “make sure that states like Alabama would have to violate state law to somehow or another accommodate a woman who wants an abortion.”

He explained even Democrats noted that the idea wasn’t to promote abortion.

“One of the Democratic sponsors of this bill made it very clear on the floor of the Senate that this bill had nothing to do with abortion [and] assured his colleagues on both sides of the aisle the intention of this bill. And yet, despite its clear language, what we see is [the] Biden administration co-opting a valid, appropriate law to be able to enforce this pro-abortion agenda.

“I know we shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s one of the reasons why I’m so proud of my colleagues across the country on many pro-life issues, because we’re standing in that gap that we need in this country to make sure that we can push back on an administration that’s just simply gone too far,” he told the Stand.

There are 17 AGs who have joined in a lawsuit over Biden’s newest abortion plan, opposing the bureaucrats in the EEOC.

“This is an unelected, unaccountable group. … We’ve seen this on multiple fronts with this administration, whether it be attacking pro-life states like Alabama. We’ve seen it with this radical gender ideology that’s being pushed through multiple federal programs. It’s why, uniquely, attorneys general in this important time in our nation have the opportunity to be able to hold [the administration] in check.”

Arizona rancher will not be retried for murder following hung jury in deadly shooting of illegal alien: ‘Nightmare is over’

Cortney WeilSr. Editor, NewsCortney Weil is a senior editor for Blaze News.

The elderly Arizona rancher whose murder trial recently resulted in a hung jury will not be retried, prosecutors said.

In January 2023, 48-year-old Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea, a Mexican national who had been deported from the U.S. multiple times after he crossed the border illegally, was found shot to death on the property of 75-year-old George Alan Kelly. Kelly owns 170 acres of land near Nogales, Arizona, which is across the border from Nogales, Mexico.

Kelly was the person who found Cuen-Buitimea’s body and called police to report it. Kelly admitted to firing several warning shots into the air earlier that day after he spotted a group of men armed with AK-47s invading his property but insisted that none of the warning shots could have possibly hit anyone, Daniel Horowitz, host of “Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz,” reported shortly after Kelly’s arrest.

Kelly was ultimately charged with second-degree murder. He had previously refused a plea deal that would have convicted him of one count of negligent homicide.

At Kelly’s trial earlier this month, his attorney, Brenna Larkin, noted that the bullet which killed Cuen-Buitimea was never recovered and argued that Cuen-Buitimea’s unzipped backpack and broken buckle suggested that he had been the victim of robbery gone wrong, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

Most jurors seem to have been persuaded by Kelly’s defense. After two days of deliberations, they could not come to a unanimous decision in the case, and on April 22, Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Fink officially declared a mistrial. Of the five men and three women on the jury, seven had voted to acquit, leaving “one, lone holdout” voting to convict, a statement from Kelly’s defense team said.

Outside the courthouse, Kelly told reporters the “nightmare is over” and expressed condolences to Cuen-Buitimea’s loved ones.

Finally justice has been served. We must be allowed to protect our property and our lives from illegals coming into our country. Rh

Democrat Representatives Wave Ukrainian Flags on House Floor After Voting to Give Them Another $60.8 Billion

By Cassandra MacDonald Apr.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna told the Democrats who were kissing up to Ukraine and waving foreign flags on our soil after unanimously voting to send Ukraine another $60 billion to “put those damn flags away” on Saturday.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Saturday, The House of Representatives passed three bills to hand out money to Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and other non-U.S. involved conflict zones around the world — with nothing for Americans.

All of the 112 “Nay” votes came from Republicans. Every single Democrat voted to send an additional $60 BILLION of taxpayer money to secure a foreign border.

The Democrats then began to pledge their allegiance to Ukraineupon passage, waving a foreign flag in the United States House of Representatives and chanting for “UKRAINE!”

This prompted Rep. Anna Paulina Luna to seek recognition and exclaim “put those damn flags away!”

Republicans in the House of Representatives led by speaker Mike Johnson are absolutely worthless. Isn’t it time that we did something for the United States of America, but no we send billions of dollars to Ukraine, why I do believe Washington’s ruling class loves Ukraine far more than it loves the United States of America. That’s my tax money!! Rh

Ben-Gvir: Biden sides with Tlaib, Sinwar over Netanyahu

The national security minister told The New York Times that the US president is “enormously mistaken” to pressure Israel over its military campaign against Hamas.

(March 27, 2024 / JNS)

Israel’s National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has accused U.S. President Joe Biden of siding with the enemies of the Jewish state.

During an interview with The New York Times published on Tuesday, Ben-Gvir said, “Presently, Biden prefers the line of [Palestinian-American Democratic Representative from Michigan] Rashida Tlaib and [Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya] Sinwar to the line of [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir.”

While the Biden administration provided unwavering early support for Jerusalem in the wake of the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7, including Biden becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit Israel during wartime, Washington has taken an increasingly critical stance as the ground war against Hamas in Gaza enters its sixth month.

This culminated on Monday with the Americans deciding not to use their veto power at the United Nations Security Council, allowing a resolution to pass that for the first time decoupled a demand for a temporary ceasefire from the release of 134 Israeli hostages still held by Hamas.

In response to the U.S. move, Netanyahu canceled a high-level delegation’s planned visit to Washington.

Netanyahu said that the changed U.S. position “hurts the war effort and the effort to release the hostages” by giving Hamas hope that international pressure will bring about a ceasefire without requiring the terror group to release the captives.

The Israeli delegation was supposed to discuss alternatives to a pending IDF ground operation in Rafah city, Hamas’s last bastion in the Gaza Strip. While Israel is adamant that the operation is required to achieve its war goals of destroying Hamas as a political and military entity in Gaza, the Biden administration opposes a full-scale offensive.

For his part, Ben-Gvir in a statement called the passage of the U.N. resolution “proof that President Biden is not prioritizing Israel and the free world’s victory over terrorism, but rather his own political considerations.”

Ben-Gvir called for Israel to ramp up its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.

Yes!!

Just as separation of Church and State was given to keep government intrusion out of our lives.

Our Constitution was given to us to allow for freedom for the citizens of the United States. We are presently living under a tyrannical government that is unconcerned for the welfare of its citizens. Our very Republic may only be one election (2024) away from being lost forever. RH

Michigan Imam: We Muslims Will Yet ‘Slaughter’ the Jews ‘Like Sheep’ by Joshua Klein Breitbart News

Muslims will yet “slaughter” the Jews “like sheep” when the opportunity arises, according to a Michigan Islamic cleric who appealed to Allah, seeking to become “soldiers” for Islam in any form desired, including death.

In a sermon at the Islamic Center of Warren, Michigan, in January, Imam Abdou Zindani warned of the fate of Jews everywhere, pointing to a Palestinian businessman who told a Jewish New Yorker what Muslims have in store for the Jews.

Unfortunately this is the new America. The Bush promoted religion of peace is now strong enough in America to say the quiet part for all to hear. We are importing our own destruction. Remember the Islamist say “we will come for the Saturday people first (Jews) and then the Sunday people (Christians). Islam is a convert or die movement. RH

“Don’t worry, don’t worry, Jewish man,” he said. “One day will come, and we will slaughter you like a sheep and the stone and the tree will work… undercover for us, [saying:] ‘Hey Muslim, come, there is somebody hiding here, get up and kill him.’”

The Sheikh was apparently referencing a grisly passage in the Islamic text, known as the Hadith, that reads as follows: “Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Jews will hide behind the stones and the trees, and the stones and the trees will say, oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding behind me — come and kill him.” The same excerpt is cited in the Hamas terror group’s charter.

Supreme Court Denies Case of Christian Parents Whose Trans-Identifying Child Was Taken From Them By Talla Wise CBN

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to take up the case of two Indiana parents who asked the court to intervene after the state’s Department of Child Services took their trans-identifying child away from them due to their Biblical beliefs about sex and gender.

This week the high court denied a writ of certiorari in the case of M.C., et vir v. Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) submitted by Jeremy and Mary Cox.

The Indiana Family Institute along with Becket Law, a non-profit legal group, presented the petition on behalf of the parents who wanted the Supreme Court to hold the state accountable for removing their child from their home.

Our world is becoming increasingly combative against Biblical Family values and parental rights. How can the Supreme Court rule against loving parents who are raising their own children accordingly to their values. Why is evil being accepted and traditional values under attack. Conclusion (IMO) evil and demonic powers are feeding off our immoral society. RH

“No other loving parents should have to endure what we did. The pain of having our son taken from our home and kept from our care because of our beliefs will stay with us forever,” said the couple in a statement after the Supreme Court’s announcement.

“We can’t change the past, but we will continue to fight for a future where parents of faith can raise their children without fear of state officials knocking on their doors and taking their children,” they added.

As CBN News previously reported, DCS initiated an investigation of the Cox’s home because they were not referring to their son with a cross-gender name and pronouns, nor were they endorsing their child’s self-identification as a girl because of their Christian beliefs.

DCS pressed for the child’s removal from the home arguing, “We just feel that at this point in time… she should be in a home where she is [accepted] for who she is.”

A trial court removed the Cox’s son from the home and barred them from speaking to him about the topic of sex and gender.

Court documents contend that the child, identified as A.C., was removed from the home partly because of a severe eating disorder that allegedly could have gotten worse if he had returned home.

Although DCS voluntarily dismissed all allegations that Mary and Jeremy abused or neglected their child, an Indiana Court of Appeals upheld the trial court’s decision ruling the restriction on the parents’ religious instruction was permissible under state and federal constitutions.

The couple was only allowed to visit their son for 2-3 hours a week, but all other contact was limited. He eventually aged out of the foster care system while out of their custody.

Youngkin Feels the Heat over Same-Sex Marriage Betrayalby Suzanne Bowdey

More than a week after Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s (R) surprise signature on a controversial same-sex marriage bill, people everywhere are still trying to make sense of the decision. No one is quite sure what the openly religious businessman was trying to achieve, since the law has no practical effect except outraging the governor’s conservative base. And while there’s never a good time to insult your staunchest supporters, the move seemed especially tone deaf in a country moving awayfrom the extremism he endorsed.

The warning signs have been everywhere — from the blistering criticism that GOP defectors faced on same-sex marriage in Congress to the polling. Whether the media wants to admit it or not, Americans are starting to back away from the experiment Obergefell unleashed on the country. Liberals know it. During the Respect for Marriage Act debate, Senator Krysten Sinema (I-Ariz.) told reporters that “the opposition was very, very strong.” “The attempts to derail this piece of legislation,” she admitted, “were probably more focused and robust than any other bills I’ve worked on in the last two years.”

The country’s growing wariness for LGBT radicalism is obvious in everything from Time magazine’s panicky articles to surveys about marriage and the morality of same-sex relationships. Even some young people are jumping off the Left’s sexual bandwagon, hinting that they’ve finally had enough of this in-your-face agenda. It’s no wonder that Youngkin is facing fiercer-than-expected backlash. More and more Americans seem to be looking for the exits on this same-sex marry-go-round — only to watch leaders they trusted climb aboard.

In the days since the bill became law, there’s been a united front of disgust for the governor’s departure from core values. From college Republican groups to grassroots leaders, Youngkin’s name conjures up the same words: “major disappointment.” Victoria Cobb, head of the Commonwealth’s socially conservative Family Foundation, said she actively lobbied the governor to veto the bill, amend it, or just let it become law — and yet, “he chose to affirmatively put his signature on it,” she lamented. Not only will this “divide Virginians,” Cobb insisted, but there are “obvious … worldview implications of redefining the bedrock institution of marriage in law.” She pointed out that some language in the policy even “paves the way to erasing girls form sports or worse.”

Local church leaders, who’d considered Youngkin an ally, didn’t hold back their frustration. To the governor’s claim that it shields people in Virginia pulpits, Nate Schlomann, executive pastor of the Village Church in North Chesterfield fired back that it isn’t the pastors who need protection. There was “no reason” for Youngkin to sign this, Schlomann explained. “We already have First Amendment protections as pastors,” he said. “My concern is that the logic of this bill will make all other Christians more vulnerable to persecution for their beliefs in the future.”

And frankly, Schlomann said, “If Equality Virginia is celebrating your actions, you probably were not looking out for conservative Christians. This is a betrayal.”

Occoquan Bible Church’s David Schrock agreed. “When Youngkin was voted into office, Christians across the state of Virginia breathed a sigh of relief. He ran on a platform to honor faith, to protect families, and to reverse the liberal overreach of his predecessor,” the pastor pointed out. “But with this unexpected and unnecessary decision, Youngkin has not only reversed course: he has effectively broken the trust of the people who voted for him. For Christians, he has signed a bill that enshrines so-called same-sex marriage into law, but also he has exposed countless conscientious Virginians to legal threat.”

But perhaps some of the most powerful pushback came from Cornerstone Chapel’s Gary Hamrick. The senior pastor of one of northern Virginia’s largest churches was unequivocal when he addressed Youngkin’s mistake from the pulpit. “We have a moral obligation,” he told all three services, “I don’t care whether you’re governor or whether you are a housewife or whether you are a business owner; whether you’re a teacher or whatever capacity you serve — we always have a higher moral obligation to the word of God and God’s standard than man’s law. And whenever man’s law is in contradiction [with] the higher standard, we better take the higher standard every time.”

Hamrick explained that he’d texted privately with the governor, who graciously replied and offered to write a personal message to Cornerstone’s church family. The two men discussed the letter in a lengthy phone call that Pastor Gary detailed on “Washington Watch” with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins. Like Cobb, Hamrick felt Youngkin’s gravest offense was “as a believer, for him to put his signature to a law …. that is a clear violation of the higher moral standard of God’s law. That’s where I strongly disagree with what he did,” he said. “And for believers to know that he’s done this, it felt like a betrayal.”

Like so many people, Hamrick admitted, “… [W]e thought that he was going to govern in a way that was consistent with our biblical values. And on this one, in my opinion … he got this one wrong. He’s still a brother. Again … he’s not a perfect person. We’re all flawed, but he got this one wrong,” Pastor Gary emphasized. “And I just tell our folks, this is a good reminder: Put your confidence in the Lord, not in a political leader. They will sometimes disappoint. I, as a pastor, will sometimes disappoint. We are flawed people. And so keep your eyes on Jesus. That’s the bottom-line message.”

Perkins, who’s experienced this kind of political backstabbing firsthand, applauded Hamrick for reaching out and having a conversation with the governor. “This is where I think the role of pastors [is] so important, because, while he did not change this — this law is in effect now — I do think that next time he’s going to be a little more cautious,” he predicted. “I’ve actually encountered that myself … [and] the elected official in the particular case I was dealing with said, ‘You know what? I just wasn’t thinking through it. I should have called. Next time, when there’s an issue like this, I will.’ And I think part of it is helping people walk through this [to understand] how God speaks with clarity to so many of these issues.”

Unfortunately, that won’t save the thousands of Virginians who’ll almost certainly be affected by Youngkin’s treason. As Perkins pointed out, “Downstream from Governor Youngkin is going to be a teacher … a police officer, a fireman who is a believer and understands the Word of God as supreme. [And] they may lose their job as a result of what the governor did…”

Unfortunately, this happens far too often with the Republican Party. We vote for someone we think we can trust. only to have them turn tail and run from the very people that work so hard to put them into Office. The good people of Virginia who voted for him should immediately recall him, if possible from the governors mansion. RH

Netanyahu Quotes Bible in Face of New Biden Pressure for Ceasefire, Two-State Solution

Chris Mitchell. CBN News

JERUSALEM, Israel – The U.S. and Israel stand at a diplomatic and military crossroads.

Israel says it needs to finish the war against Hamas in the key Gazan city of Rafah, yet the U.S. is threatening that Israel won’t be able to use American weapons if Israel launches its military campaign against the Hamas stronghold.

On the northern border, Hezbollah continues to fire rocket volleys on Israeli communities.

In his State of the Union address, President Biden put the burden on Israel to protect Gazans.

“Israel has an added burden because Hamas hides and operates among the civilian population like cowards under hospitals, daycare centers, and all the like. Israel also has a fundamental responsibility, though, to protect innocent civilians in Gaza,” Biden declared.

He added what he says is the solution: “As we look to the future, the only real solution to the situation is a two-state solution (between Israel and the Palestinians) over time.”

To increase humanitarian aid to Gaza, the administration announced plans to construct a port in Gaza to bypass the Egyptian border crossing.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio pushed back on that idea on Fox News. “Once you get aid in, who’s going to distribute it? Because that’s really the factor in place right now,” he stated.

Rubio added, “The only people on the ground with any organization to distribute things are Hamas. So in essence, can they guarantee that we’re going to go through all this trouble to put American lives on the line just so aid can be distributed to Hamas – who in turn will then control it like they’ve controlled everything. There’s no Hamas fighters starving to death. And Hamas has no history. None whatsoever. They have zero history of either helping civilians or people.  So this is all for show and it’s dangerous.”

Rubio says the fastest way to get aid into Gaza is to defeat Hamas. It’s a goal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to Israeli soldiers at a graduation ceremony. His pledge drew cheers.

“Today, I want to tell you, tell you clearly: the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) will continue to operate against all of Hamas’s battalions throughout the Strip – and this includes Rafah, Hamas’s last stronghold,” Netanyahu said to clapping and cheering.

He continued, “Whoever tells us not to operate in Rafah, is telling us to lose the war – and that will not happen. There is international pressure and it is increasing. But it is precisely when the international pressure increases that we must close ranks among ourselves. We must stand together against the attempts to stop the war.”

Netanyahu then quoted scripture, saying, “This is what the Psalmist says: ‘Who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.’ [Psalm 144:1] We are learning the lessons of the fighting and we are planning – with due consideration – the continuation of the war. In the future, we will learn all the lessons of October 7th. We will do so openly and fully. But today we have a clear goal: Achieving total victory in the war.”

In an unprecedented move, the Biden administration is considering restricting the use of U.S. munitions if Israel launches a military operation into Rafah. An article in The Washington Post quoted former U.S. Ambassador Martin Indyk as saying, “If Israel launches an offensive in Rafah without adequately protecting the displaced civilian population, it may precipitate an unprecedented crisis in U.S.-Israel relations, even involving arms supplies.”

Col. Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, tells CBN News that would play into the hands of Hamas.

“I think it’s very irresponsible of the United States because President Biden himself and Secretary Blinken have both said that they understand Israel’s need to eliminate Hamas – and to do that, they have to go into Rafah,” Kemp explained. “If they don’t destroy Hamas in Rafah, then effectively they would have survived and will have won the war. They will declare victory. They will still be a major threat to Israel.”

Meanwhile, the head of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, is reportedly holding up the negotiations for a ceasefire and the release of the remaining hostages.

Sinwar demands a permanent ceasefire and a pullout of all Israeli forces from Gaza.

Both in Israel’s north and south, fighting continues, with three Gazan rockets fired toward the southern town of Sderot, while Hezbollah launched a volley of rockets against northern towns.

The government of the United States is on dangerous ground when it turns its back on Israel. God will punish us for doing so. Elections have consequences and the last Presidential election might be the downfall of our great Republic. It is time for the Godly remnant to gain our voice, get out of the Church and speak into the cultural issues of today. Please don’t tell me you will pray, action is required. Prayer can become the excuse for the lazy! Yes pray and weep over the sins of America, but do something, say something. Stand for righteous. Rh
