Pompeo: When China Sees Dems ‘Deeply Tied’ to BLM ‘They Sense That America May Well Be in Decline’ – Must Defend America’s Greatness

By: Ian Hanchett, Breitbart News, 19 Mar 2021:

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reacted to the exchange between American and Chinese officials earlier in the week and said that Chinese officials “mentioned Black Lives Matter as part of the reason they think American democracy is in decline, those are running buddies of Marxist-Leninists all around the world.

And so, when they see a Democrat Party that is so deeply tied to the Black Lives Matter movement, I think they sense that America may well be in decline.”

Pompeo said, “I would have called it out for exactly what it is, this idea somehow that America isn’t a beacon of democracy around the world, that’s just nonsense and it is crazy for them to make that attack. … They mentioned Black Lives Matter as part of the reason they think American democracy is in decline, those are running buddies of Marxist-Leninists all around the world. And so, when they see a Democrat Party that is so deeply tied to the Black Lives Matter movement, I think they sense that America may well be in decline. I would have made clear that America stands for protecting its own. I would have reiterated our views about America first. We would have talked about the greatness and the exceptionalism of our nation, and we would have called them out for what they did to the world with this virus that has destroyed millions of lives. We’ve lost millions of lives and billion dollars worth of wealth. It is unacceptable that the administration didn’t push back in that way.”

Pompeo Claims Significant Ties Between Iran and Terrorist Group Al-Qaeda @ BeholdIsraeel.org

Prior to the Trump administration leaving the White House, the secretary of state has released intel regarding the Islamic Republic’s ties to the notorious terror organization.

With the Trump administration soon transitioning out of the White House, his team has been moving quickly to “seal the deal” in regards to several matters related to the Middle East. Several of these matters relate to Israel’s renewed relationship with multiple Arab nations in the region. However, on Tuesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed troubling news related to Israel’s greatest enemy in the region, Iran.

Pompeo claimed that the Iranian regime is acting as host to the Islamic terror organization, Al-Qaeda. He referred to the Islamic Republic as “the new home base” for the organization, and added that “Tehran gives sanctuary to the terror group’s senior leaders as they plan attacks against America and our allies.”

Pompeo continued stating, “Tehran has allowed al-Qaida figures in the country to freely communicate with other al-Qaeda members and perform many functions that were previously directed from Afghanistan and Pakistan, including authorization for attacks, propaganda, and fundraising.”

Earlier in 2020, Al-Qaeda’s number two in command, Abu Muhammad al-Masri was gunned down in the streets of Tehran, which provides strength to the secretary’s claims. Furthermore, the White House is now designating two leaders of the organization who are based in Iran as global terrorists. These include Muhammad Abbatay and Sultan Yusuf Hasan al-‘Arif.

Of course, his claims were met with serious opposition from the Iranian regime. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif responded via Twitter with tough words.

Pompeo further warned that “the Iran-al-Qaeda axis poses a grave threat to the security of nations and to the American homeland itself, and we are taking action.”January 12th, 2021

Pompeo says U.S. is ‘working to get every nation to recognize Israel,’ hints Sudan could be next

By Jennie Taer

During Wednesday’s State Department press briefing, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo teased that Sudan could be the next country to sign a deal to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. Pompeo also revealed that the U.S. is moving to lift the state sponsorship of terror designation still imposed against Sudan.

The Trump administration recently brokered similar deals with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Israel, dubbed “The Abraham Accords.” The two gulf countries signed deals with Israel at the White House last month, signaling a “new era of Middle East Peace.” A delegation from Sudan was reportedly in attendance at the signing ceremony.

Saudi Former Intel Chief Condemns Palestinians for 70 Years of ‘Failures’

JERUSALEM, Israel – Saudi Arabia’s former intelligence chief blasted the Palestinian leadership for their foreign policy “failures” and outright rejection of the UAE-Israel peace deal in a scathing 40-minute interview that aired on Saudi television Monday.

“This low level of discourse is not what we expect from officials who seek to gain global support for their cause. Their transgression against the Gulf States’ leadership with this reprehensible discourse is entirely unacceptable,” former intel chief and US ambassador Bandar bin Sultan told Al-Arabiya TV.

Palestinian leaders strongly condemned Israel’s normalization with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain and warned other Arab states against formalizing ties with Israel. Bin Sultan accused the Palestinians of undermining their cause by missing critical opportunities to make forge ties with Israel and form their own independent state.

Pompeo says Communist Chinese Party ‘greatest external threat’ to U.S.

The secretary of state said the Obama administration did not grasp the threat posed by China

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the Chinese Communist Party represents the most significant outside threat to the United States.

“The greatest external threat that the United States faces over the medium and long term is the threat by the regime in China today, the Chinese Communist Party lead by General Secretary Xi Jinping,” Pompeo said during an interview Sunday on Fox News with conservative commentator Mark Levin.

Pompeo also said that the Obama administration did not grasp the threat posed by the Asian superpower.

Israel-UAE Peace: Arabs Drop Yoke of the Palestinian Cause

And Israel starts to play the game on Mideast terms, leveraging its position for favorable outcomes Ryan Jones article from Israel Today

For decades the Palestinian nationalist cause has held the interests of the rest of the Arab world hostage. Everything was seen through the lens of “justice” for “Palestine,” but on such impossible terms that mutually beneficial partnerships had to be abandoned for the sake of toeing the party line.

To be sure, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are still employing the same rhetoric, stating that their decision to normalize relations with Israel is first and foremost a move to save the two-state solution and future Palestinian independence.

But as suggested yesterday by Dr. Anat Berko, a former Member of Knesset and counter-terrorism expert, the reality is that a growing number of Arabs states are tired of having their national interests play second fiddle to the Palestinian cause. (See: Saudi Arabia Turns Against the Palestinians and Arab States Quietly Back Israeli Annexation)

“The Emirates did not slink into an agreement with Israel, but released themselves from the Palestinian ‘occupation’ of their national interests,” said Dr. Berko in a Facebook response to the bellyaching of Arab Member of Knesset Jamal Zahalka over the UAE announcement. “The Arab states,” added Berko, “are simply tired of waiting on the Palestinians to agree to some arrangement that doesn’t include the destruction” of Israel. She also noted that the Palestinians had made a major strategic error in aligning with Iran and Iran-backed proxies, which are the mortal enemies of the UAE and other Sunni Muslim states.

A convenient excuse?

As for the UAE, what does an independent Palestinian state do for them? Sure, they might genuinely want to see that eventual outcome, but there’s no point allowing the lack of a Palestinian state at this time to prevent them moving forward with a partnership that will greatly benefit both them and Israel.

That’s why, despite the UAE’s official statements, I agree with Dr. Berko that this decision was much more about regional stability, mutual economic benefit and allying against the Iranian threat than an act of service to the Palestinian cause.

Remember that in making this decision, the UAE abandoned all previous preconditions for peace set by the Arab world.

  • Israeli settlements remain in place in the “West Bank”;
  • The entirety of Jerusalem is firmly under Israeli control; and
  • No political party in Israel (except perhaps the Joint Arab List) is even entertaining the notion of a Palestinian “right of return.”

In effect, the UAE got nothing in return for agreeing to peace besides the vague (and perhaps temporary) promise that Israel won’t carry out an annexation that most believe wasn’t going to happen anyway. Oh, and it also got the aforementioned benefits of partnership with Israel.

Perhaps “stopping the annexation” was just a convenient excuse to finally make a diplomatic move the UAE has wanted to make for some time?
