‘Every Election Is Crucial’: Northern Virginia Pastor Calls Christians to Vote with Biblical Values

Leesburg, VA – In a sermon Sunday, Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel urged Christians to rise above political apathy and vote with unwavering adherence to biblical values. Addressing the congregation and live-stream audience, Pastor Hamrick sought to send a warning and a challenge beyond his northern Virginia church.

CBN News Senior Correspondent Tara Mergener has the interview.

Hamrick’s annual election sermons, which attracts viewers worldwide and generate upwards of A million views online, reflect his influence within the Christian community.

In the sermon, Hamrick highlighted statistics that show out of approximately 90 million Christians in the United States, 40 million are expected to stay home on Election Day, and 15 million are not even registered to vote. He attributes this apathy to a misplaced focus on candidates’ personalities rather than their policies and principles. Furthermore, he pointed to a broader issue within the church: many churches have become silent on critical social and political issues, leaving their congregations without guidance on how to navigate these complex times.

“The stakes are too high for us to ignore,” Pastor Hamrick said. “Voting is not just a privilege; it’s a duty. It’s our responsibility to be good stewards of the freedom and values we’ve been entrusted with.” He drew parallels to biblical stewardship, referencing the parable of the two servants to emphasize that just as the master entrusted his possessions to his servants, so too has God entrusted Christians with the privilege of living in a free country and participating in its governance.

Hamrick condemned the cultural narrative that frames moral and social issues as purely political and criticized the trend of churches retreating from addressing these issues from the pulpit, which he believes contrubutes to widespread confusion and inaction among Christians. “Churches have gone silent on these crucial matters,” he said. “It’s time for pastors to step up and guide their flocks with biblical clarity and courage.”

Regarding the upcoming election, Pastor Hamrick addressed a range of critical concerns, including judicial appointments, the sanctity of life, support for Israel, biological sex, and religious freedom. He expressed disappointment over the lack of a truly pro-life candidate, noting that neither major candidate fully aligns with pro-life values. Nevertheless, he encouraged voters to evaluate candidates based on policies that align closest with their biblical beliefs, even if no candidate meets all criteria perfectly.

He also gave practical advice for those looking to engage in the political process. He urged church members to be registered, become election officers, and, most importantly, engage in prayer. “We need to pray for our candidates, our country, and trust in God’s sovereignty,” he said. He reminded his congregation of the importance of faith in the political process, asserting that no matter who occupies the White House, God remains on the throne.

“Christians must rise above apathy and engage in the electoral process with a focus on their values. “Every election is crucial,” he emphasized. “We cannot afford to sit this one out. Vote according to your values, and trust in the Lord’s plan.”

How I pray we could have 10 thousand Pastors with a vision to encourage their congregations to vote Biblical values. That would transform our nation. Rh

Eight Babies From Tim Walz’s State “Were Left to Die” After They Survived Abortions

National  |  Joshua Mercer  |

During Tuesday night’s presidential debate, ABC’s Linsey Davis “fact-checked” former President Donald Trump’s comments regarding children who survive abortions.

A chorus of journalists immediately questioned Davis’ “correction” of Trump, expressing that the Republican nominee made a valid point about some states’ pro-abortion policies.

Davis, who co-moderated the debate alongside her ABC colleague David Muir, claimed: “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born.”

The moderator made the claim after Trump answered her question regarding his stance on abortion.

In Trump’s answer, he said that the Democrats take a “radical” position on the issue, adding: “They have abortion in the ninth month.”

Trump had also referred to a 2019 interview of then-Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a Democrat, who said that a “discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother” if a baby was born alive following a failed late-term abortion. Trump initially incorrectly referred to Northam as the former governor of West Virginia.

Minutes after Davis attempted to debunk Trump’s response, the Media Research Center took to X (formerly Twitter) with a “fact check” of its own.

“Babies are regularly murdered after they are born in botched abortions,” wrote the watchdog group.

The Daily Signal’s Mary Margaret Olohan wrote in an article last month, “data from the Minnesota Department of Health shows that at least eight babies who survived abortions” in Minnesota “were left to die.”

Signal Managing Editor Tyler O’Neil posted a link to Olohan’s piece on X shortly after Davis’ “fact check” at the debate.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz has been the Governor of Minnesota since 2019.

“Under a 2015 Minnesota law, the state formerly was required to report whether abortions resulted in the live birth of a baby, what actions were taken to preserve the life of that baby, and whether the baby survived,” Olohan continued:

Those reporting requirements exposed that between Jan. 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021, physicians performed five abortions that resulted in a baby’s live birth.

No measures were taken to help the first baby, who reportedly had “fetal anomalies” that resulted “in death shortly after delivery.” Two of the babies were given “comfort care measures” as they died. No measures were taken to “preserve life” of the last two babies, who were previable.

Previous data from the Minnesota Department of Health reveals that physicians have been leaving babies to die after failed abortions for years.

“Not true, ABC News,” wrote Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins on X Wednesday afternoon, responding to Davis’ “fact check.”

“In 12 states, children born alive after a failed abortion have no legal protection, and in three more states children born alive after an abortion had legal rights that governors—like Tim Walz—repealed,” Perkins wrote, citing the FRC’s data.

“Medical personnel have testified of babies being left to die or gruesomely killed after being born alive following a failed abortion,” he added.

Perkins posted a map to X showing each state’s level of protection for babies born alive following failed abortions. The map is also available on the FRC website.

Compact Magazine founder and editor Matthew Schmitz wrote on X Wednesday: “In 2022, years before Tim Walz emerged on the national scene, I pointed out that babies who survived abortion procedures were being left to die in Minnesota.”

Schmitz referred to a July 2022 post by pro-life journalist Micaiah Bilger.

In the post, Bilger enclosed what Schmitz referred to as a screenshot from the Walz administration’s Minnesota Department of Health.

“FIVE babies were born alive in abortions and left to die in Minnesota in 2021,” Bilger wrote, underlining nearly identical language in the screenshot. “FIVE – in one state!”

As always the democratic party is the party of death! They love to destroy lives from abortion to trans surgeries which destroys the mental and physical lives of trans people. If we don’t return to God, He will surely judge America. Rh

Revival Among our Colleges??

Another Revival at Texas A&M Corpus Christi as 1,500 Hear Gospel, 62 Baptized – Benjamin Gill/CBN News

So very excited about this article. Is it possible that God is beginning a move among our young people? Various campuses have experienced a move of God in the past couple of years.

Yes let us pray for our nation for a return to Biblical values and for souls for the kingdom. Following the turbulent decade of the 1960’s, we saw a “Jesus Revolution” begin on the west coast. God bring repentance, and restoration to our land! Revive us Lord! Rh.

College campuses across the country have seen significant signs of spiritual awakening over the past few years from Asbury to Auburn. Now there’s another example of revival breaking out on the Corpus Christi campus of Texas A&M University.

A recent campus gathering organized by New Life Young Adults drew nearly more than a thousand students to hear the gospel.

Pastor Michael Fehlauer of New Life Church posted, “Nearly 1500 students last night Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi… 62 water baptisms… Powerful testimonies… Many physically healed and delivered! Jesus is Lord….. and He is coming back.”

The Christian Post reports a message was preached about the “conviction, cleansing and commissioning that follows a genuine encounter with God.”

And this wasn’t just a one-day event for that church. Throughout the month of August, New Life Young Adults was reporting powerful images of God’s power moving among hundreds of students.

Trump’s Abortion Pivot Sparks Outcry: ‘This Is Wrong … And We Cannot Be Silent’

By Suzanne Bowdey

The shock hasn’t worn off for pro-lifers, who continue to watch with dismay as Donald Trump and his Catholic running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), seem to publicly disavow years of conservative principles on the unborn. Reaction is still pouring inover the former president’s tweet that his administration would be “great” for “reproductive rights,” a euphemism for abortion that many see as a devastating surrender in itself. It would be one thing, the editors of National Review wrote, “for a Republican candidate for national office to say that a federal law against abortion is unattainable, or even undesirable,” given the current political realities. But at this point, they continue, “pro-lifers have to wonder if there’s any difference left between the parties on abortion.”

Of course, as veterans of the movement know, the warning signs loomed large well before July’s Republican National Convention, when Trump’s inside circle hinted that abortion would no longer be an issue of common concern but a political inconvenience that the former president would try to avoid at all costs. The ensuing party platform cemented those fears, shredding paragraphs of pro-life vision and values in exchange for four sentences that promised merely to “oppose Late Term Abortion” and support mothers.

Even that seems to be in doubt after Vance’s Sunday interview, in which he walked back any support for a 15-week federal threshold for abortion, which is past the point unborn babies can feel pain. Asked whether or not he would commit to not “impos[ing] a federal ban on abortion,” Vance replied, “I can absolutely commit that.” He continued, “I think it’s important to step back and say, ‘What has Donald Trump actually said on the abortion question, and how is it different from what Kamala Harris and the Democrats have said?’ Donald Trump wants to end this culture war over this particular topic.”

In what appears to be a big departure from Trump’s first term as president, Vance wouldn’t even commit to the 45th president’s former positions — which, until recently, were considered the bare minimum of bipartisan federal policy: blocking taxpayer-funded abortion at home and abroad, stopping the military’s war on the unborn, and ending the shipment of abortion pills to pro-life states.

It is terribly troubling the “new stance” of Trump on abortion. We all knew it was coming but still deeply concerned of a move away from Moral Conservative values. We always have to compromise. We are used to it, but still not happy about it. Rh

The Abortion Queen-Jezebel of Death

Below are the actual words taken from the Kamala acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination for President. Why do they crave blood so much? Why do they desire to sacrifice the unborn to an ancient god called Molech? Is there some kind of blood lust that permeates their empty soul? God help the children! No person of faith can ever vote for this dark soul. She empty, devoid of humanity and lost in death. Rh

From the transcript of Kamala Harris’ speech:

“Donald Trump hand-picked members of the United States Supreme Court to take away reproductive freedom. And now he brags about it. His words: Quote –’I did it, and I’m proud to have done it.’ End quote.”

“Over the past two years, I have traveled across our country. And women have told me their stories. …”

“… doctors are afraid of going to jail for caring for their patients. …”

“This is what is happening in our country. Because of Donald Trump. And understand, he is not done.”

“As a part of his agenda, he and his allies would limit access to birth control, ban medication abortion, and enact a nation-wide abortion ban with or without Congress. … And get this… he plans to create a national anti-abortion coordinator. …”

“And one must ask: Why exactly is it that they don’t trust women? … Well, we trust women. … And when Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom, as President of the United States, I will proudly sign it into law.”

Free Abortions Offered to DNC Attendees – Pro-Lifers Criticize the ‘Shout Your Abortion’ Agenda

Can the Democratic Party get any lower on the morality pole than this? I wonder if the powers that be in the Democratic socialist party of America, have any exceptions to abortion on demand? What if a baby is born alive, would you save the life of that child? About 92% of all abortions performed in America are done for convenience, not because of the life of the mother being in danger, rape or incest.

Unfortunately, the Republican Party is taking a similar track. It barely mentioned pro life in their platform for 2024. And in fact, the standard bearer of the Republican Party Donald Trump, has blamed pro-lifers for the defeats of some of the candidates. He endorsed in the midterms in 2022. He seems to want to make it a state issue. Well I would agree with him on that if we were not for the fact that when you take the life of a child, it is called murder. This country should never allow a baby to be ripped apart and killed in the process of abortion.

I pray that America will soon return to its spiritual roots and rebuild the foundation of a nation born on Judeo Christian values. God help us all if we do not. Rh

Nobodies are Somebodies in Christ

So, you consider yourself a nothing and a nobody? Regardless, you must not excuse yourself from the high calling of God on your life because you think you are a “nothing.” In God’s eyes, being a nothing is an improvement over “anyone [who] thinks he is something when he is nothing” (Gal. 6:3). Remember, God created the universe out of nothing.

We all have value. Find yours and make this world a better place. Who knows what could happen when we reflect the glory of God. Be salt, be light, be different than the world around you. Rh

‘Evangelicals for Harris’ Targets Conservative Christians with New Media Spot

By David Brody CBN News

Let me just say this….if you are an Evangelical and you vote for Kamala, you need to repent. Flat out get to an altar. Rh

CBN News has learned that a newly formed group, Evangelicals For Harris, will drop their first media spot Wednesday in an effort to win over some “on-the-fence” Conservative Evangelicals in swing states who are lukewarm when it comes to Donald Trump.

The videos will start on social media and eventually make their way to TV in certain swing states. Specifically, and most interestingly, Evangelicals For Harris will be targeting conservative Christian media websites. The group already has over 200,000 Evangelical Christians who have signed a pledge to volunteer and vote for the Harris/Walz ticket.

Donald Trump won a hefty majority of the conservative evangelical vote. However, typically elections are won at the margins, especially in the seven key swing states. Evangelicals for Harris is using this strategy in hopes of eventual victory. If history has something to say, it may work.

In 2008, Barack Obama received 26% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and won. In 2016, Hillary Clinton received 16% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and lost. In 2020, Joe Biden received 24% of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote and won. So if Kamala Harris gets 20% or more of the White Born Again Evangelical Vote, Trump could very well lose the General Election to Harris.
