Both President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu understood that if the ayatollahs believed the end was near, they would go all in – launching as many ballistic and cruise missiles, along with explosive drones, as possible. At that moment, neither U.S. bases nor Israel’s home front were prepared to absorb such an attack on such short notice.

President Trump is a highly calculated leader. He believes you either act when you are fully ready and achieve overwhelming success – or you do not act at all.

The events of the past few days were designed to make Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey believe their efforts had borne fruit, while at the same time buying critical time to prepare for any potential Iranian retaliatory action.

In other words – no U.S. carrier was ordered to turn around or head home. An enormous volume of military equipment is moving toward the Middle East. Why? Because a strike is not a matter of if, but of when.

Qatar is biggest foreign funder of US colleges, per Education Department

Qatar has been the largest source of foreign funding for U.S. higher education institutions, according to data displayed in a new U.S Department of Education portal.

The portal, which went live on Jan. 2, explains that, under Section 117 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, federally funded universities are required to disclose, twice annually, any gifts and contracts from a foreign source that are worth at least $250,000 in a calendar year.

Rep. Tim Walberg (R-Mich.), chair of the House Education and Workforce Committee, told JNS that “our college campuses are being flooded with foreign cash, but every single dollar given by our adversaries comes with strings attached.”

“America’s adversaries exploit these financial ties to steal research, spread divisive propaganda, push indoctrination and undermine free speech,” Walberg said. 

“Enough is enough,” he added. “The Trump administration is making the reporting of foreign funds easier and more transparent so we can protect our students and the integrity of American education.”

Kenneth Marcus, chairman and CEO of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law and a former assistant U.S. secretary of education for civil rights, told JNS that he’s “glad that the Trump administration is bringing greater transparency to the enormous amount of foreign money that’s coming into our higher education system.”

According to the dashboard, Qatar was the source of around $6.6 billion to U.S. universities, followed by Germany ($4.4 billion), England ($4.3 billion), China ($4.1 billion), Canada ($4 billion) and Saudi Arabia ($3.9 billion).

Of the schools that received funds from Qatar, Cornell University topped the list with $2.3 billion, followed by Carnegie Mellon University ($1 billion), Texas A&M University ($992.8 million) and Georgetown University ($971.1 million).

“In particular, this portal already shows huge amounts coming in from Qatar,” Marcus told JNS. “It is hard to imagine that this amount of money doesn’t imply some amount of influence, and it’s fair to ask what kind of influence Qatar is obtaining in exchange for its money.”

Overall, the data shows that the value of contracts and gifts from all foreign countries has been $62.4 billion to 527 U.S. colleges and universities.

Brandy Shufutinsky, director of the education and national security program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told JNS that she has questions about the data, such as whether universities are required to report the specific funding entities within a country.

“For example, if an international non-governmental organization or governmental department gave funds to an American university, does that university have to disclose the name of that NGO or governmental department?” she said. (JNS sought comment from the Education Department.)

She also asked whether the portal provides information on how foreign funding is used.

“The idea for the portal should not only be to increase transparency around Section 117, but to allow users to truly understand the level of foreign funding and influence taking place in the American higher education system,” Shufutinsky said.

Linda McMahon, U.S. education secretary, stated that “after years of neglect by the Biden administration, the new portal will assist our institutions of higher education in fulfilling their statutory responsibilities and enable us to protect our national security by facilitating improved compliance.”

According to the portal, Yeshiva University in New York has received $1,097,897 in foreign funding, and Rabbinical College Bobover Yeshiva Bnei Zion in New York received $1.5 million. Both received foreign funding solely from Canadian sources. Yeshiva had three such gifts and the rabbinical college had two.

The Michigan Jewish Institute, a Chabad-affiliated organization in the Detroit area, received a single $250,000 contract from an Israeli source between 2011 and 2013, according to the portal. The institute shuttered in March 2016.

The portal reported a total of $62,4 billion total disclosures to the Education Department up until Jan. 31, 2025, including 117,152 total reports from 194 countries to 527 U.S. colleges and universities.

Brandeis University, which “is animated by a set of values that are rooted in Jewish history and experience,” was listed in the portal as having received $7,816,216 in foreign funding in 17 transactions from the United Nations ($3.9 million), Malaysia ($1.4 million), Hong Kong ($821,000), United Kingdom ($570,000), France ($420,000), Canada ($405,000) and Switzerland ($250,000).

About half of the funding for Brandeis came from restricted contracts (55.9%) and 30.1% were gifts and 14% were restricted gifts.

According to the most recent disclosure file, dated Feb. 28, 2025, Israel had 1,323 transactions for a total of $419,454,891.24 to about 105 institutions. The largest three were contracts to Brigham Young University: $7 million in 2018, $6.5 million in 2020 and $5.2 million in 2019

‘They Sponsor Terrorism’: Trump Moves to Target Muslim Group Following Startling Report by Paul Petitte – CBN News

JERUSALEM — The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic terror group so dangerous that it’s banned in Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Egypt. This year in the U.S., Texas and Florida designated the group a foreign terrorist organization. In the coming days, the Trump administration is expected to do the same.

President Donald Trump’s executive order beginning the process of designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization follows a lengthy report by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, known as ISGAP.

The report, nearly 200 pages long, argues that the Muslim Brotherhood has spent decades advancing what it calls a “civilization jihad” aimed at undermining democratic institutions in the United States and the West.

“This is an organization that believes in murdering Jews, destroying Israel, and destroying the United States of America,” said Dr. Charles Asher Small, the founder and director of ISGAP. “This is their objective.”

Founded nearly a century ago in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood now operates across the Middle East. Hamas originated as the group’s Palestinian branch, according to the report.

In November, Small appeared alongside lawmakers and scholars to warn that the Brotherhood is “more than halfway through” what ISGAP describes as a 100-year plan to erode democratic societies from within.

“They sponsor terrorism, murder, and mayhem across the planet,” said U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee at a recent Knesset prayer event. “They are a very negative and destructive force, and it’s very important for the United States to use its power and influence to call them out for what they are.”

The ISGAP report focuses heavily on what it describes as the Brotherhood’s influence operations in the West, particularly in academia. It alleges that groups such as the Muslim Students Association and Students for Justice in Palestine serve as vehicles for spreading the organization’s ideology. The report cites Students for Justice in Palestine as a major force behind violent anti-Israel protests at Columbia University.

Small pointed to the election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City as evidence of what he describes as long-term political penetration.
“He came out of SJP,” Small said. “He was a student activist for Students for Justice in Palestine at Bowdoin College. It’s important for your listeners to understand that SJP comes out of American Muslims for Palestine, which is a Muslim Brotherhood-backed organization.”

Trump’s executive order states that Muslim Brotherhood chapters in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt pose a threat to U.S. national security interests.

Middle East analyst Dr. Mike Evans said he urged the administration to expand the scope of the order to include Brotherhood-linked activity in Syria, Turkey and Qatar.

“The Muslim Brotherhood and Qatar funded and fueled terror — al Qaeda, the Taliban, Iran and Hamas,” Evans said. “These people hate us.”

At the state level, decisions by Texas and Florida governors to label both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations as terrorist organizations are currently being challenged in court.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott cited past convictions tied to CAIR affiliates in defending the designation. “One of the founders of the Texas branch of CAIR was sent to prison for 65 years for financing terrorism,” Abbott said. “The fact of the matter is there are people associated with CAIR who pose a serious danger.”

Under Trump’s order, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent must submit a joint report by the end of the year outlining next steps toward a formal designation.

The Muslim Brotherhood is already banned as a terrorist organization in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Syria, and Jordan. However, the ISGAP report says Brotherhood-linked organizations continue to operate freely in Turkey and Qatar, funding media outlets and political influence campaigns worldwide.

“Qatar is buying favor with the BBC, CNN, and other media outlets, including Al Jazeera, and it’s now into our political system,” Small said.

Evans said a formal U.S. designation would dramatically limit the group’s global reach. “It’s a game changer,” Evans said. “When you designate a terrorist organization, they can’t move anymore. They have no room to operate.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised Trump’s initiative and indicated Israel may follow with its own designation.

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel warned that radical Islamist groups have been clear about their long-term goals. “We’ve seen the movements of radical jihadist groups who say very clearly that what they seek is the destruction of Western civilization as we know it today,” Haskel said.

At times I think the man I voted for 3 different times has completely lost his mind. Turkey? A sworn enemy of Israel. Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia get our most advanced fighter jets. Turkey is a sworn enemy of Israel. Mr. President you have no idea of the ramifications of walking with the devil. Is Israel still an ally? Make it make sense. Israel was two weeks from victory in Gaza, and Kushner and Witkoff, at your bidding stop Israel. Why? Questions, but no intelligent answers.

Qatar is in negotiations with the United States to purchase F-35 stealth fighter jets, adding to Israeli concerns about maintaining its military edge as several Middle Eastern countries pursue the advanced aircraft, Hebrew media reported on Monday.

The discussions between Qatar and Washington represent a renewed push after Doha’s request for the jets stalled five years ago, according to Israel’s Channel 12News. Unlike previous attempts, current talks appear more substantive, raising alarm in Jerusalem.

Israel is growing increasingly concerned as several regional powers simultaneously pursue American military hardware. Saudi Arabia is pushing ahead with an F‑35 purchase as part of an emerging U.S.–Saudi defense pact, after President Donald Trump said Washington “will be selling F‑35s” to the kingdom. The United Arab Emirates may seek to revive a previously suspended F-35 purchase. Turkey is also exploring acquisition possibilities.

The Israeli defense establishment warns these combined sales could erode the air force’s qualitative military advantage, which depends on technological superiority and operational freedom across the Middle East.

In response, Israel has begun drafting a compensation package that includes two new fighter squadrons—one F-35 unit and one F-15IA squadron, specially adapted for Israeli use—along with substantial ammunition supplies, according to the report.

Israeli officials face pressure to act quickly, according to Channel 12, as delays could push the country back in American manufacturers’ production schedules. Defense sources believe securing enhanced capabilities is critical to maintaining Israel’s military superiority despite the narrowing window for negotiations with the Trump administration while it is reshaping regional arms sales.

Conservatives Who Called Al Jazeera ‘Terror TV’ Now Silent as Qatar Eyes CNN.

For twenty years, conservative media called Al Jazeera “terror TV” because Qatar funded it. They insisted that Qatari money in journalism meant Qatari influence, and Qatari influence meant danger. This was the refrain on Fox News, talk radio, and all across the right-wing blogosphere. A foreign state owning a news outlet was treated not as a story but as a threat.

And now? Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund is reportedly among the investors approached to help finance a takeover bid that includes CNN. Reuters reported that David Ellison’s team explored funding from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE as they assembled the capital stack for the Paramount–Skydance offer. These are not confirmed investments, but the outreach is documented. A foreign state’s sovereign wealth entering an American newsroom should set off the alarms that conservatives spent years building.

Instead, there is silence.

There are several different ways to overthrow a society and a country. One is to outright invade with military force, another is to infiltrate our collages and government with paid actors to change our educational institutes or governmental policy. We see that almost everyday here in the U.S. Qatar and Saudi Arabia have done just that. They are not our friend, they don’t use threats of war, but they silently take over with petro $. Education institutions, governmental subterfuge and now a Qatari investment fund trying to buy CNN? Emphatically NO! We have grown much too close to this terror sponsoring nation in the Middle East. On stage, under crystal chandeliers

• Ahmad al Sharaa – former Al Qaeda commander who drowned Syria in blood, now scrubbed and airbrushed as “Mr President.”

• Jawad Zarif – foreign minister of Iran’s terror regime

• Hakan Fidan – Erdogan’s Islamist enforcer

All beaming for Al-Jazeera, the global megaphone of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Can a person refuse the temptation of power, money, and prestige when they are offered in the service of evil?

In Doha, this test is not merely failed, it is celebrated!

The self-proclaimed Syrian president Ahmad Al-Shar’a told the Doha Forum that “terrorism” is often politicized, insisting that real terror is the killing of innocents – from Gaza’s alleged 60,000 victims, to the millions displaced in Syria, and the countless civilians lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It seems the perfume he received at the Oval Office didn’t work its magic. To this former Al-Qaeda commander, the rape, slaughter, and kidnapping of Israeli civilians do not qualify as terrorism. Only when Israel defends itself does he suddenly remember the word.

Syria’s ISIS terrorist President Abu Mohammed Al Julani Says the US and Israel Are The Real Terrorists, Not Him, Not Al Qaeda, and Not ISIS

During the Doha Forum yesterday, Syria’s new “president,” the former leader of al-Qaeda and ISIS in Syria whose real name is Abu Mohammed Al-Julani, praised his fallen commanders and declared, “We saw wars in Afghanistan, in Iraq; all those who were killed were innocent.”

He said Al Qaeda is innocent.

He then went on to claim that the United States is the real terrorist organization in an attempt to justify that he and his group are not terrorists.

Asked which is a greater threat to regional stability during an onstage interview at the Milken Institute’s Middle East and Africa Summit in Abu Dhabi yesterday, Saudi Prince Turki Al Faisal responded: “For the moment, definitely it is Israel. We’ve seen that Iran has been dealt a strong hand by the US,” he said, apparently referencing Washington’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Prince Turki, who as a prominent member of the Saudi royal family, remains influential in Riyadh even after leaving government.

“Events in Lebanon with the diminishing of Hezbollah and the change of the regime in Syria have obviously affected Iran’s ability to affect and influence events in the broader Middle East,” he continued. “Israel is feeling its oats by bombing Syria on almost a daily basis, continuing to bomb Palestinians — whether in Gaza or the West Bank and also in Lebanon, where there’s supposed to be a ceasefire,” Prince Turki said.

“That is definitely not a harbinger of peace in our part of the world. In my view, it is Israel now that is the troublemaker and should be reigned in,” he said.

Understand why I say it does no good to make deals with treacherous regimes. They will continually move the goal posts. They are who they are and will do whatever they can get away with. Remember Qatar was funding Hamas, when asked if they would help rebuild Gaza, they said no, they (Qatar)did not destroy Gaza. No but your terror proxy was responsible. Rh

Bin Salman on normalization with Israel

  • :We want to be a part of Abraham accords, but we also want to make sure that we ensure a path to a tow-state solution”.
  • Bin Salman: “Yes, absolutely Mr. President. We want peace for Israelis, we want peace for Palestinians.”
  • Trump asked about the F-35 deal, if it was conditional on normalization with Israel as Israel wanted. Trump: “Israel will be satisfied, they are aware of that.

Satisfied is different that Israel getting what they want. Politician speak. No doubt Israel will have to take a big spoon full of sugar to get this deal and many others being worked on done.

I have been against the sale of F-35 jets to Saudi Arabia, however Amir Tsarfati “let me be clear no F-35 anywhere in the world is comparable to the Israeli ones, simple because Israel has installed Israeli-made systems that are unique to its occupational needs. The similarities are only external.” I must say that makes me feel better. I have also heard others say that the close connection between Israel and the US is that Israel will tell us how to make ours better once they put upgraded systems in the jets. Amazing! The money we send to Israel comes back in dividends to America, unlike any other money sent abroad.

If one believes the poll, which does not surprise me at all. Peace is elusive and since Phase 1 has not been accomplished, how can we move on and expect Phase 2 (disarmament to be accomplished.) Rh

U.S. Floats Two State Solution; Israel Say NO!

Prime Minister Netanyahu opened today’s cabinet meeting with a blunt clarification: Israel’s policy has not changed, no Palestinian state, under any circumstances.

Netanyahu’s statement comes directly in response to the U.S. backed amendment inside the new UN framework for Gaza, which shifts language toward endorsing a “pathway to Palestinian statehood.” His message to Washington was unmistakable: Israel rejects any political process that advances Palestinian sovereignty west of the Jordan River.

Israel and the Trump administration are on a collision course regarding Saudi Arabia and its demands for joining the Abraham Accords. Recognition of a Palestinian state after October 7 massacre, would be a reward for terrorism and is completely unacceptable to an overwhelming majority of the Israel public. Amir Tsarfati

The tiny Gulf nation has spent almost $100 billion to establish its influence in Congress, universities, newsrooms, think tanks, and corporations. What does it want in return?

The question is: How did a refuge of Islamist radicalism, a country criticized for modern-day slave labor, become the center of global politics and commerce? How did this tiny peninsular country of 300,000 citizens and millions of noncitizen migrant workers manage to put itself smack-dab in the center of global diplomacy—and so successfully ingratiate itself within the Trump administration?

Over the past few months, The Free Press investigated these questions. What we found is that no obstacle, no history, no bad headline is too big for Qatar’s money.

Qatar has spent almost $100 billion to establish its legitimacy in Congress, American colleges and universities, U.S. newsrooms, think tanks, and corporations. Over the past two decades, it has poured those billions into purchases of American-made weapons and business investments ranging from U.S. real estate to energy plants. It built—and still pays for—the Al Udeid Air Base, even as the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have ended. Doha finances research and campuses at prestigious American universities. And its lobbyists have the connections needed to open all the right doors in Washington. Since 2017, it has spent $225 million on lobbying and public-relations efforts in the nation’s capital.

The Free Press reviewed thousands of lobbying, real estate, and corporate filings. We interviewed dozens of American, European, and Middle Eastern diplomats and defense officials. We also analyzed secret intelligence briefings and previously undisclosed government documents. Together, they explain how Qatar has amassed so many loyal allies in America.
