How US envoy Tom Barrack nearly ignited an Israel-Turkey war

“Source tells me Ambassador Tom Barrack is on thin ice with the Trump administration and US State Department,” Loomer wrote, saying some officials believe Barrack bears responsibility for the recent escalation in tensions between Israel and Turkey.

In a second post, she said Barrack had been called back to Washington for “consultations” and quoted a State Department source as saying: “We want him gone so badly we might hire packers to pack his belongings for him.”

Loomer also said Barrack “almost started a regional war between Israel, Turkey and Syria” after accusing Israel of illegally occupying the Golan Heights.

Her claims have not been independently confirmed.

Christian Persecution is Exploding: New Report Reveals the World’s Worst Hotspots

A persecution watchdog is sounding the alarm about the worsening situation for Christians unfolding around the globe.

Shawn Wright, president of International Christian Concern (ICC), told CBN News that his organization’s 2026 Global Persecution Index exposes some truly diabolical situations in various nations.

But at the core of the shocking statistics and metrics is a sobering reality: people’s lives are being upended and even destroyed.

“Behind every statistic is a real person, a husband, a wife, pastor, or a child who has chosen faithfulness to Christ despite enormous persecution,” he said. “The index is not simply a report about persecution. It’s a call for the global church to stand with our brothers and sisters who suffer for their faith, because behind every statistic is a real person — and they’ve chosen Jesus over safety.”

Wright said Christians shouldn’t be surprised by rising persecution, explaining that he believes the New Testament is very clear on the matter. Jesus himself warned believers that they, too, would face pushback for following Him. Regardless, he said Christians need to stand up and take action.

“Hebrews 13:3 is very clear that we are to remember those who are imprisoned for their faith just as if we’re chained with them,” he said.

As for the biggest surprises in the ICC’s 2026 Global Persecution Index, Wright said Nigeria is top of mind.

“In Nigeria, in particular, the rise [of persecution is] in such an unfathomable measure,” he said. “Before [2024], we were looking at maybe in a one-year period, 500, 600 people who were killed in Nigeria, and just in the past year, that number has gone to over 2,500 and is increasing quickly.”

Wright added, “Nigeria represents almost 90% of all persecution around the globe that we can track.”

Fulani militants are responsible for more than 40% of the attacks, with other Muslim groups also contributing to the horror. People have been driven from their homes, dispersed and killed. Children are often left in the crosshairs of these tragic situations.

“I just returned two months ago from two of these government camps in Nigeria looking for myself,” Wright said. “These camps were just a mile down the road from where they originally were living … and many of these children are orphaned because their parents were killed in these attacks.”

He said the government is often complicit in these events or simply ignores what’s unfolding.

Wright also highlighted other areas, including parts of South America and countries such as China and India, where the index found rising or concerning levels of persecution.

Contrary to Nigeria, the persecution present in China takes a very different form, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) cracking down on religious belief and harming Christians and other religious minorities. Through technology, China holds a grip on others and takes aim at these cohorts.

“China, for instance, theirs is through state control, surveillance, pressure on churches, closing of churches,” Wright said of the persecution dynamic. “But the biggest thing that China does is their electronic surveillance, and they actually sell this and give this to other governments like Iran, and Pakistan, and India, and some others that are in Southeast and East Asia so that they have a better way of tracking dissident groups, which leads to the opportunity for them to track Christians in particular.”

Meanwhile, India offers yet another tragic look at the persecution paradigm, with Hindu nationalism driving much of the problem, according to Wright. He believes the government has essentially “outlawed the ability to evangelize” through rules and regulations that seek to restrict organizations and Christian groups.

“They also have anti-conversion laws … that are strategically targeting Christians, in particular, that you cannot share your faith, period,” Wright said. “And even … the way the laws are written in 13 of these states, it even raises questions of sharing your faith with other Christians.”

Turkey ‘crossed a red line’ in Syria, Israeli ambassador to US Leiter tells ‘Post’ – interview

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter told The Jerusalem Post that Israel had received clear intelligence indicating that Turkey intended to significantly expand its military presence in Syria, a move Jerusalem viewed as crossing a red line.

“We are not seeking escalation or war with either Turkey or Syria. But a red line was crossed,” he said.

His comments came following Israel’s strike in Syria and subsequent criticism from both the Syrian and Turkish governments.

Let there be no mistake the world is a much dangerous place since Trump has put a leash on Israel. Israel has always feared fighting on three fronts, but they have been forced into just that scenario. Again, beating a dead horse, but why does Trump have man-crushes on despots and dictators? An Unfaithful Husband And A Bitter Wife

The back and forth between the World’s most powerful nation and a semi third-world wannabe has taken on the role of divorce court 2026.  Every day or two it seems the scorned wife (Iran) blows up and threatens the unfaithful husband (Trump) with humiliation.  Of course then Trump responds with “unacceptable”!  Back and forth we go in an almost daily stream more reminiscent of divorce court rather than two nations attempting to work out a cease fire. Can we get a mediator in the room, please.

One of Trump’s biggest problems, and his best advantage is that he says whatever pops into his brain.  Not always good for mediation, but does keep the enemy off balance.  So I can’t remember is this the third or fourth time Trump has threatened to blast Iran off the face of the earth?  Too many threats and not enough action.  Do it or stop saying it.  The U.S. is starting to sound like a bully, or Obama and his notorious red line in the sand.

Heres is my take:

  • Iran can’t be trusted, they lie
  • If a deal is made, Iran will break it
  • Trump has pressure at home; mid-terms, high gas prices etc
  • Bad advice from the advisors inside the White House
  • Get rid of Kushner and Witkoff, they are money hungry idiots

Just as with Gaza the war which was stopped too quickly, so it is with Iran.  In the case of Gaza it was simply wanting peace so badly that Trump overlooked the fact that throwing money at a religious war will not work.  Been there, tried that more than once.  How do you think Iran got the money to build and buy their weaponry? Obama and his pallets of cash, anyone?  The same thing has happened in Iran, we stopped too soon.  Or IMO we should have been more aggressive in taking Kharg Island, that would have stopped the global oil pressures, and opened the Strait of Hormuz.  Surely we had the firepower to do that with very minimal and possible no loss of life.  

Granted I’m a keyboard warrior when it comes to military intelligence, but come on, we had enough fire power to do the job.  Back to divorce court for another round of “he said”, “she said”.  Will this ever end?  Iran cares less about a solution than Trump does.  That does not bode well for the U.S.

Time will tell the endgame, but as of now the results I see in the future are not at all what I hoped for.  Let us also bear in mind the lateness of our time on earth.  We are in the last days, Iran will still be somewhat viable when Turkey and Russia join them to move against a somewhat peaceful and secure Israel. (Ezekiel 38). God is sovereign and it is all in His timing, but it does seem to be Déjà vu all over again.

Keep Your Eyes On Turkey

Turkey is taking a significant step toward joining the global military elite by testing a missile that would put much of Europe and the Middle East within reach and eventually lead to the launch of real-time intelligence satellites, according to people familiar with the plans.

The country showcased an intercontinental ballistic missile at an expo this week, joining the US, Russia and only a handful of other powers that have the weapons. Turkey’s ICBM has a range of 6,000 kilometers (3,750 miles) and the plan is to test fire it in Somalia later this year at the earliest, the people said, declining to be identified when talking about sensitive defense matters.

As I said earlier in another post, Turkey is the next big Muslim country to be wary of in the Middle East. Leadership of turkey has openly said, “we will dance around Jerusalem”, and they are not talking about in friendship, but in the defeat of Israel. This is a NATO country that is a thorn in the side of Israel. Ezekiel 38 talks of Iran, Turkey, and Russia leading a coalition against a peaceful Israel. It will happen. Be wary of Turkey. Rh

Things are changing so fast during this war.  This is going to be interesting to see how the regional alliances handle the defeat of Iran, especially while old friends, or at least friends that hated Israel, are now expelling old friends from their country.  Trump and Netanyahu have certainly turned the Middle East on its ear.  Even Turkey is telling Iran to be careful in targeting their country.  With victory in sight, if not already there, old cautious allies of Iran are turning like rats running off a sinking ship.  Good to see. Rh

The Qataris have reportedly delivered an eviction warning to the Hamas leadership in Doha. After Iran struck their former ally, Qatar asked their guests to condemn the attack. In a serious violation of guest etiquette, Hamas refused.

Before we get too excited, let me remind everyone that Qatar has threatened to do this before. Multiple reports said Hamas leaders left for Turkey after a Qatari directive in April 2024, and there were rumors of Doha “reconsidering” Hamas’s presence in November 2023; March, May and October of 2024; and a few times in 2025 as well.

Hamas doesn’t seem to have many options for relocation. They require certain qualities in a host: friendly to terror, immune to Israeli strikes and willing to accept the stigma of their presence. There is no shortage of countries in the region with an agnostic view of terrorism; far fewer that Israel wouldn’t strike. But that last factor seems to be the trickiest to find. Even Turkey—which has no problem discreetly supporting Hamas and is the most immune to Israeli strikes in the region—is hesitant to take the American heat that would come with allowing Hamas leaders to walk in through the front door.

The truth is, it’s a great deal for Qatar. For the price of a few hotel rooms, they get to be a key player in one of the world’s most important negotiations. They are America’s go-to terror mediators, so hosting Hamas is more expected than scandalous. Then again, now that all the hostages have returned, Hamas’s value has depreciated somewhat. Still, I put the odds at 60-40 that they stay.

Qatar may keep them around, but that doesn’t mean it will advocate on their behalf or give them money. Hamas leaders are reportedly terrified that, with Iran looking unreliable, the loss of Qatari support would be a devastating blow to the organization.

Israel’s perspective has always been that among the terror groups on its borders, Hezbollah was the one most likely to collapse with the loss of Iranian support. Hamas existed long before Iran’s patronage, and it was widely believed it would survive after the Islamic Republic’s fall. But the panic among its leaders indicates it might be easier to dismantle an independent Hamas than previously thought.

It would be remiss not to mention that Iran seems to be more effective than Israel at disposing of Hamas leaders. When Israel struck Doha last September, Hamas had to change hotels. When Iran struck Qatar, Hamas suddenly found itself homeless.

Deep beneath the ground near the Iranian city of Isfahan lies the ayatollahs’ treasure chest. Lead-lined, it contains Iran’s most valuable asset: more than 400 kilograms of 60 percent enriched uranium.

The world’s most radioactive buried treasure was entombed by the U.S. and Israel during the June war and is thought to be inaccessible without a large excavation effort. But according to a recent U.S. intelligence report, there remains a “very narrow access point” through which the Iranians—or the U.S.—could potentially retrieve the prize.

I’m not being playful when I say this is the treasure of the regime. It cost them hundreds of billions to create, and it is their most powerful weapon—though more in negotiations than in destructive potential. That makes it valuable to the U.S. and Israel as well: Take away the uranium and you remove a load-bearing beam in the regime’s infrastructure.

Fortunately, pulling up IRGC-branded moving trucks is not an option. The site is watched from above by the U.S. and Israel; any Iranian attempt at extraction would be met with an excessive amount of munitions.

An allied operation faces similar challenges. Four hundred kilograms of uranium doesn’t fit easily into a backpack. Any operation would require significant forces around the “very narrow access point” to repel what would likely be a substantial Iranian counterattack.

But Trump hasn’t ruled out sending in special forces, and rumors from both Israel and the U.S. indicate that such an operation is being considered.

Short of Trump walking into the presidential palace in Tehran, victory is a hard thing to photograph. But Netanyahu and Trump shaking hands in front of Iran’s enriched uranium would come pretty close.

Important clarification regarding the strikes in Iran

It is very important to emphasize something that many people outside the region may not fully understand.

Israel is not targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure – the refineries, the production facilities, or the systems that would be needed for the country’s future recovery.

Instead, the strikes are focused primarily on oil storage reservoirs that the regime uses to finance its war machine and sustain its military operations.

Why does this matter?

Because the goal is not to destroy Iran’s ability to function as a nation in the future. The goal is to deny the regime the financial lifeline it uses to fund terror, missiles, and regional aggression.

By targeting the regime’s accessible oil reserves – rather than the infrastructure itself – the pressure is placed directly on the ruling system, not on the long-term future of the Iranian people.

This distinction is extremely important.

One day, when the current regime is gone, Iran will still have the infrastructure it needs to rebuild and prosper. The prospect for a better future for the Iranian people must remain intact.

This war is not against the people of Iran.

It is against a regime that has brought suffering to its own people and instability to the entire region.  Amit Segal

I hope Amit is right, I think he is.  He has contacts inside Israel’s government and military.  There has to be some sort of prosperity going forward for the new regime.  The US and Israel can’t fund a new government, and neither will the Arabs.  At least I don’t think so, although Turkey just might be a help to try and get into the region closer to Israel.  But nevertheless that is a decision for a future date.  War is expected to last another 2-3 weeks.  Rh.

Iran’s Apocalyptic Islamic Ideology

The stage is set, the lines have been drawn, Trump’s red line in the sand, looking for a deal but continuing to say “things will go bad for them (Iran) very bad” without a deal.  An amazing arsenal of weaponry has been assembled.  Why the wait?  No one but Trump knows for sure, but best guess is that the deal maker wants to be remembered as a peace maker.  Something’s deals wont work because the one you try to make a deal with, just won’t deal.  

To be blunt, after all the bravado of President Trump,and without some significant military action or an iron clad enforceable deal with Iran, Trump will lose all credibility.  Remember he encouraged the protestors in Iran over a month ago to keep fighting, that help was on the way.  Since then tens of thousands have been killed and imprisoned.  It has gone from bad to worse.  Why all the bravado from Iran, especially after the 12 day war of last summer?

Iran’s Apocalyptic Islamic Ideology is why the cowards in Tehran continue to demand and bluff and seemingly desire a confrontation with two superior nations.

One very important factor is being overlooked in dealing with Iran, a Shiite apocalyptic theology and ideology.  This ideology is the lens through which they view the world.  For them, everything that is happening is being branded as a “holy war.”  They use their theology as a shield to justify their brutality, even against their own people.

By framing protests against the regime as rebellion against God, officials have effectively turned politics into a battlefield of Good vs Evil.  Behind all this is the belief that clerics have to pave the way for the return of their Mahdi, the 12th Imam. They believe the preservation of the regime is the existential imperative for the Mahdi to return.  Iran’s clerical leadership believe that the Mahdi’s return will be hastened by global destruction and war.

“Some hardline factions in Iran argue that global chaos and war are necessary precursors to the Mahdi’s return.  This perspective can lead to the view that negotiated long-term peace is detrimental to their ultimate theological goals.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps are 150,000 strong hard core zealots.  They have sworn to preserve the regime at all costs.  They have murdered thousands with glee, all to save the radical clerics and attempt to destroy the freedom fighters.  In some respects Iran is itching for a catastrophic fight to the end.  The religion of peace seeks a fiery end to mankind.

Ironically this apocalyptic end times scenario also envisioned the last Mahdi coming on a white horse, and ruling the world for 7 years.   Interestingly the book of Revelation also states the anti-christ will attempt to do the same.  

As a footnote, Erdogan of Turkey also has visions of being the last Mahdi.  That is why I am more fearful of him for Israel’s survival than any ayatollah.  At the present time he has moved troops into Syria, and his intentions are most certainly not honorable to say the least.

As I wrote earlier, keep your eyes on Turkey.

Turkey Update: Erdogan’s Siege on Israel Begins!

While the world’s eyes are on Iran, a new coalition is forming in the shadows. Our latest map reveals how President Erdogan is rapidly uniting the Sunni world-turning former rivals into allies to encircle the Jewish State.

🤝 The Diplomatic Blitz Erdogan has launched a massive reconciliation effort, signing defense and energy pacts with Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and solidifying alliances with Jordan. The goal? To replace the “Iranian Ring of Fire” with a united Sunni diplomatic wall around Jerusalem.

I want to say clearly: I do not hide my general skepticism about the possibility of reaching any agreement with Iran. However, I made it clear that if an agreement is reached – it must include the important components for us, the State of Israel, and in my opinion, also for the entire international community: not only the nuclear issue but also ballistic missiles and Iranian proxies in the region. It was an excellent conversation. Of course, we also touched on Gaza, the entire region, and other general issues. In any case, this is another conversation with a great friend of the State of Israel – a president like no other. Thank you very much.”

The Allure Of Peace

The allure of peace in the Middle East has caused many politicians to take sides, most of the time they’re on the wrong side of history.  Diplomacy as the western governments know it will never work in the Middle East. As a pastor and Bible teacher, I firmly stand on the inerrancy of the word of God. It tells me that there will never be true peace in the Middle East until the prince of peace makes his appearance. And that my friends, is many battles and much pain and sorrow away from happening.

What started off as a grandiose design by President Trump hailed as the beginning of the golden age, has moved from our shores to the world stage. Now we see the Trump administration mired in the same quagmire that has hit every US president since the Arab all embargo in the 70s.

What to do about Israel, the Arabs, and now the radical Islamic Jihadist. Trump is fond of talking about peace through strength. That truly is all the radical terrorists and anarchists in the Middle East understand. They have lived through tribal wars, ancient rivalries, and also ancient hatred of one another. Ancient rivalries infused with blood oaths as well. It’s inbreed. 

If one understands the Bible prophecy, we understand it will be a great shaking and falling away from the Christian faith. We also understand that Jerusalem will be a problem to all the nations of the world. “Zechariah12:2” There is a division happening right now of nations being sifted and taking side for and against Israel. 

We also understand some sort of world, religion, and world government will take authority over the entirety of the world. We see this played out in revelation 13. Our technology and surveillance systems have made it possible that every person on the face of the Earth can be tracked and their whereabouts, spending habits and even what they are writing and saying on social media can be tracked. And to think when we were booting those computers up every morning on dial up that it would come to something like this.

My opinion is that Trump and those around him have absolutely no clue to what they’re doing, so scratch off the typical left-wing lunatics who think that Trump is the antichrist. I don’t see how it could be. Is it possible, of course anything is possible. God is in control and he is sovereign. But I do believe that the Trump administration with their focus on peace in the Middle East and with his grandiose board of peace, which smacks of a New World order, which is exactly what Trump has been railing against. Funny how that works isn’t it?

The apparatus for the soon to be declared antichrist, the man of sin, the one who will step in and declare that he has the keys and the ability to make peace is now here. I do believe the steps that are being taken today, the push for the 

The AI revolution is a part of the foreshadowing that will come right before the antichrist is revealed.

Bible prophecy tells us the time is not right for the antichrist to appear at this present moment. In fact, I believe there are two events that will happen before this, revealing. The rapture of the church which I believe is a pre-tribulation rapture of the saints of God taken out of this world by the Blessed hope that they have in Christ Jesus. Also believe that shortly after that because of that chaos Ezekiel 38 a contingency of nations which primarily include Russia, Turkey, and Iran will lead an attack against the nation of Israel. This attack will happen at a time of peace and safety, as the Bible declares. When will that be, and what is the true definition of peace and safety, no one really knows.

Let’s get back to this board of peace. I believe it’s a for runner, I believe it is man’s way of trying to put money and dollars and investments, and bring about prosperity and peace in the Middle East. Which has been tried before, which has been bandied about as the solution. Remember, when Obama said if these Islamist just had a good job, they would lay down their arms? They’re not laying down their arms. They’re going to fight to the death because that’s who they are, that’s what they do and that’s who controls them, the spirit of death and destruction. Rh

Here too we see the prophetic outlines. The full isolation of Israel, globally, is one of the linchpins of Bible prophecy in the very end times. I will say this: while Trump has done many good things, and seems to have genuine love for America, it also appears that he does not have a real biblical worldview. He has recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, but his team is full of Arabists that have been in Washington for a century. They will not allow full Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.

The recent opportunities to decapitate Tehran, Beirut, and the Gaza Strip have come and gone, it appears. This will cost many more lives down the road.

But if we do hold to those marvelous predictions the Lord provided for us in His Word, we should not expect/count on real peace to break out. That is not His plan.

This Board of Peace will not be that. Instead, it is a bizarre and puzzling self-inflicted wound. It is like a child running toward danger, rather than fleeing it. Hard to believe so many smart people can be so wrong about building blocks for peace, at least short-term. Can you imagine what the world would have been like if the Ayatollah and his demon horde had been overthrown? At the very least, many lives internationally would have been saved from this terror nest.

We trust our Lord, though. And we wait.

The Bible tells us that in the last days Jerusalem will become a burdensome stone for all nations.  True, the nations wonder what to do about this small God appointed land.  A simple solution would be to drive the interlopers out of the nation of Israel, let them have all the land they inherited by the Almighty and be done with it.  Stand with Israel as they enforce their borders.  Too simple.  

Trump’s illustrious board of peace will apparently have two patrons of the terror group Hamas on the board of peace.  (Per JNS.org).  Qatar, which is Witkoff and Kushner’ s sugar daddy, and main sponsor of Hamas.  The leadership of  Hamas live luxuriously in Doha.  Turkey, though a member of NATO, is colonizing parts of Syria and has spoken recently of dancing in the streets of Jerusalem.  Yeah that sounds like a good couple of nations that are fair minded when it comes to Gaza.

Oh but wait, apparently Bibi Netanyahu has also been asked to be a part of the board as well.  Hmm, throwing a bone to Israel to make it seem fair??  They ain’t no meat on that bone. 

The Oslo Accords gave the “Palestinians” a state, (Clinton is famously now stating on various platforms) narcissistic anyone?  Got to get Billy Bob back in the news cycle.  True, but what did they do? Nothing but a reign of terror.  

Having a political solution to Gaza is just pure insanity, (remember the definition).  This is war, defeating the terrorists and stopping their money trail is all that will accomplish what Israel was only days from accomplishing in Gaza.  That is before Trump called off Bibi and the IDF.  

Again what is the definition of insanity?
