Joe Biden Promises To End Traditional 401(k)-Style Retirement Savings Tax Benefits. What’s That Mean?

Round about a month ago, I took a closer look at Joe Biden’s retirement-related policy proposals, or, more specifically, those of the “Unity Task Force,” which had just released its final document.
One of the items in that document and on the Biden campaign website is a promise to “equalize the network of retirement saving tax breaks” — a proposal that generally translates to eliminating the tax advantages currently enjoyed by retirement savings accounts and replacing them with a “credit” or “match.” The idea is that the tax advantages, or “tax expenditures,” as they’re called, disproportionately accrue to relatively higher earners, and the hope of a change is to provide benefits in equal measure to all income groups.

Beijing Threatens Retaliation for US Plans to Sanction Officials Who Erode Hong Kong’s Freedoms
Beijing on July 1 defended its controversial national security law for Hong Kong and slammed the United States for its potential sanctions against Chinese officials.
Zhang Xiaoming, deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office—Beijing’s top agency for handling those territories’ policies—said at a press conference that countries that wanted to sanction Chinese officials were thinking in “the logic of robbers.”
The U.S. Statement Department announced last week that it will impose visa restrictions on Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials involved in eroding Hong Kong’s autonomy and freedoms. State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said on Twitter that the visa restrictions will also target CCP officials behind the national security law.

Cotton Statement on China Imposing National Security Law on Hong Kong
China is not our friend and we can thank numerous past Presidents and Congress who enabled China for years. President Trump is right to be hard on the communist regime. From crackdowns in Hong Kong, to silence and denial on the Wuhan virus and constant harassment of Christians in China which include confiscation of private property and imprisonment. “Xi Jinping and his Communist thugs must face severe consequences for crushing Hong Kong’s freedoms. The House of Representatives should pass the Hong Kong Autonomy Act to impose punishing sanctions on Chinese Communist Party officials. The administration should consider all options at its disposal to deny Beijing the benefits of Hong Kong’s special financial and economic status. We cannot ignore China’s draconian actions.”
Colorado bill requires ‘re-education’ for parents who refuse COVID-19 vaccine
(ZERO HEDGE) Are you ready for re-education camps in the United States? Colorado has introduced a bill that would “re-educate” parents who refuse to vaccinate their child with the coronavirus vaccine.
The bill forces all doctors and medical staff to give vaccinations with no exemptions, even if they are in a situation where they believe it would not be in that child’s best interest. The bill’s current version, however, does not list any sanctions or punishments for medical staff that refuse, according to Life News.
The bill just passed through a committee in Colorado (20-14) to reduce available exemptions on vaccinations for school-age children (making vaccines mandatory). This bill offers “online education modules” for parents who want a different vaccination schedule than what the state demands. Submitting a “certificate of completion” from the re-education classes is one way to receive the state-sanctioned vaccine exemption.
Key congressman seeks probe into why 80 percent of U.S. foreign investor visas going to China
House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Penn.) have asked the an investigative arm of Congress to investigate China’s involvement in America’s EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa Program.
In a letter Monday to the Comptroller General of the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the lawmakers said the program was meant to encourage foreign capital investment and job creation in America but it appears it is being exploited by the Chinese Communist Party.
“Although the EB-5 program’s goal of stimulating capital investment and job creation in the United States is laudable, it has become clear in recent years that the CCP may be abusing the program to gain access to U.S. permanent residency for their members,” the letter says. “Between 2012 and 2018, 80 percent of the nearly 10,000 EB-5 visas available each year went to Chinese-born investors.”
Protesters and Riots
I know I have to be careful how I say this, but when I hear any African-American on TV talking about these riots in Minneapolis I cringe. Fox had Donna Brazile on the noon show with Harris Faulkner today. Harris was livid about the riots and could not understand how they could destroy their own neighborhoods. When she asked Brazile about that, Donna just chocked on her words. Talked all the way around the issue but never condemned what was going on. Explain it to me. I don’t understand why people would destroy what little these communities have. Please some liberal African-American person condemn the rioters. Until you do you are part of the problem. Every one needs to serve jail time. Don’t hate me, I want an answer.
To be clear, the Police officer needs to be tried and if found guilty be convicted with the strongest sentence possible. No one should be above the law. No one.
