God planted a 2,000-year-old prophecy about the church in the most unlikely place: A bread recipe.

Many people look at the biblical feasts and presume these are simply Jewish traditions. However, these aren’t just random celebrations; they are divine prophecies planted throughout history. Pentecost is one of the most incredible examples of God’s perfect planning, also known as Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks.

Let’s start with what Pentecost actually is. In Leviticus 23:15-16, God instructed Israel, “And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.”

This feast celebrates two things for the Jewish people: the wheat harvest and the giving of the law—the Torah—at Mount Sinai.

On this day nearly 2,000 years ago, Acts 2:1-4 tells us, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Do you see the incredible connection? On the very same day that Israel celebrated receiving the law written on tablets of stone, God sent His Spirit to write His law on human hearts. This wasn’t a coincidence but a divine appointment set thousands of years in advance.

If God were a filmmaker, He would win every award for foreshadowing. The shadow appears in the Old Testament, but the substance, the reality, is found in Christ. As Paul writes in Colossians 2:16-17“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.”

There is another powerful aspect of Pentecost. At Mount Sinai, on the day that the law was given, Exodus 32:28 tells us that approximately 3,000 people died because of sin. Fast forward to the day of Pentecost: “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them” (Acts 2:41). The exact same number! Where the law brought death, the Spirit brought life. That’s not a coincidence. That’s God showing His amazing plan.

Let’s dig even deeper. In Leviticus 23:17, God gave specific instructions for Pentecost that seemed strange at first glance: “You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah. They shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven. They are the firstfruits to the Lord” (emphasis added).

These loaves contain leaven. That’s extraordinary because, throughout Scripture, leaven typically symbolizes sin. During Passover, all leaven had to be removed from homes. Other grain offerings in Leviticus also had to be made without leaven. Here, God specifically commands leaven to be included. Why would God want an offering with leaven? These two loaves perfectly picture the body of Christ. One loaf representing the Jews, one representing the Gentiles, both containing leaven. We all have sin in our lives, yet despite our imperfections, God accepts us as His.

Also, notice that there are two loaves. This isn’t random. This is a picture of Jews and Gentiles being brought together as one in the Messiah, yet maintaining their distinct identities. God wasn’t surprised when Gentiles came to faith because He planned it from the very beginning. When did the Holy Spirit create this united body of Jews and Gentile believers? On Pentecost, the very day these two leaven loaves were to be presented.

The miracle of Shavuot isn’t just a historical event; it is a living reality for us today. Just as God took two separate loaves with leaven and presented them together before Him, He is doing the same with us. Jews and Gentiles are both imperfect, yet both are accepted in His sight through the Messiah.

Pentecost shows us something profound about God’s heart. He doesn’t demand perfection before accepting us. He takes us with our leaven and our imperfections and transforms us by His Spirit. The same Spirit that came down with power on that Shavuot morning nearly 2,000 years ago lives in you and me.

At Mount Sinai, the people said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do” (Exodus 19:8). They failed because they tried in their own strengths. What they couldn’t do under the law, God does through His Spirit. This is why Shavuot matters so much. It’s the day when God’s presence moved from dwelling in a temple made with hands to dwelling in human hearts. It’s the day when the harvest of souls began, a harvest that continues to this very moment as more people come to faith in Yeshua, our Messiah.

When we understand Shavuot, we understand God’s perfect timing, His perfect plan, and His incredible love for both Jew and Gentile. As we celebrate this feast, let us remember: we are those two loaves presented together before the Lord, united by His Spirit into one body while maintaining our unique identities.

What an incredible picture of God’s wisdom and love.

Macron’s Israeli advisor leading the drive for Palestinian state

The silence of pro Israeli countries is breathtakingly silent. Even the U.S., who is Israel’s staunchest ally has been silent on these talks. True that Trump and his administration voice support for Israel, but these past few days have raised an alarm in my mind about how deep that support runs especially if an agreement to end hostilities in Gaza were announced. Remember Trump is the “of the deal.” He wants to be a peace maker. We must never, ever trade one acre of Israeli land for a peace deal that will never work. At least not until the Prince of Peace is here. Rh

Iran Gave Hamas $500 Million to Attack Israel

Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has unveiled for the first time direct evidence of Iran’s support for Hamas’ plan to destroy Israel.

During a visit to the intelligence unit on Sunday, Katz presented transcripts of conversations obtained from the tunnels of senior Hamas leaders in Gaza, showing a clear connection between Iran and key Hamas figures Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif.

The intercepted documents reveal that Sinwar and Deif demanded $500 million from the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. The funds were requested to further Hamas’ campaign against Israel and its struggle against the United States. Despite Iran’s difficult economic situation, the head of the Palestinian branch of the Revolutionary Guards, Izadi, agreed to the request, emphasizing that Iran would continue to provide financial support to Hamas because the fight against Israel and the US is Tehran’s top priority.

In his remarks, Katz asserted that this new intelligence provides unequivocal proof that Iran remains the primary sponsor of Hamas and continues to fund terrorism across the region. He emphasized that Iran’s commitment to its goals, even in the face of domestic economic hardships, underscores its dedication to destabilizing the region and pushing forward its agenda of confronting Israel and the West.

“This is clear evidence that Iran is the head of the snake, continuing its support for terrorism and its proxies across the Middle East,” Katz stated. “From Gaza and Lebanon to Syria, Judea and Samaria, and even Yemen, Iran’s destructive influence is being felt. Despite their denials, these documents prove that Iran remains heavily involved in financing and supporting terror groups.”

Katz reiterated Israel’s commitment to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and vowed that Israel would continue its operations to strike Iran’s proxies and dismantle its axis of evil in the region.

Christians highlight Israel’s biblical roots to Hague court byJerusalem News Syndicate

The International Court of Justice is about to issue a nonbinding opinion on Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

Nearly a thousand Christians from 45 nations have expressed their support for Israel’s biblical connection to the Holy Land in a decree presented to the International Court of Justice in The Hague ahead of a key ruling by the U.N. court this week.

The direct appeal by the Christian representatives, which was hand- delivered to the court registrar for each of the 15 justices earlier this month, was made ahead of Friday’s scheduled ruling on the legality of Israel’s control of east Jerusalem and the biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria.

The decree, which was signed in The Hague by a mix of Christian religious leaders, pastors and political representatives, including former U.S. congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Pastor Satish Kumar, the head of Calvary Temple church in Hyderabad, the largest in India, highlights Israel’s connection to the land under dispute.

“We, Christian representatives of our nations from all over the world, declare and testify that the Land of Israel includes East Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria,” the July 4 decree reads. “These areas belong indisputably to Israel and are ultimately the inheritance of the Jewish people. Dividing the Land is in conflict with the Bible and the will of the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel.”

The case was taken up by the court after the U.N. General Assembly voted in December 2022 to ask the judges for a nonbinding advisory opinion on the dispute over what it termed “Occupied Palestinian Territory: East Jerusalem, West Bank and the Gaza Strip.”

At the time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed the General Assembly over the resolution, which was approved over U.S. opposition and supported by less than half of the 193 member states. He accused the world body of “distorting historical facts” and declared that the Jewish people cannot be an occupier in its own land.

“Everyone is talking about international law but this is 100% biblical,” Jack van der Tang, an evangelical minister and the president of the Hague-based International Conference of Truth Justice and Peace who is behind the initiative, told JNS in an interview on Wednesday.

David Parsons, vice president of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, said, “We came to support this initiative in The Hague to make sure the justices at the World Court heard the perspectives of tens of millions of God-fearing Christians worldwide who stand with the Jewish people’s 4,000-year-old claim and connection to the Land of Israel.

“It would not be just or fair for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to be allowed to present their shameful annihilist view on the very existence of Israel, while an even larger global Christian constituency was being ignored,” Parsons continued.

Andrew Tucker, director general of The Hague Initiative for International Cooperation, an NGO that fights the misuse of international law to delegitimize the State of Israel, said, “From a legal and political point of view, the court’s ruling will be devastating for Israel.

“But it will also undermine the court’s legitimacy. And instead of de-escalating the [Israeli-Palestinian] conflict it is likely to make an agreed upon solution less likely than ever.”

I am proud to support Israel and their Biblical right to exist and to live in peace. Look to the happenings in the Middle East, especially Israel to see which direction the world is headed. There is no more important barometer to the sign of the times than the state and affairs of Israel. Rh

Prophetic Times

We are that generation that will see the return of the Lord.  I truly believe that from the bottom of my  heart and from the cry of the Spirit.  Even so come Lord Jesus.

Israel’s rebirth in 1948 and it’s continual victories over it’s enemies have proven that God is in control of their destiny.  After wars, and multiple violet terror attacks, Israel is stronger than it’s ever been.

What comes next, we know, but the timetable is up to the Almighty.  Know this for certain, that Israel will stand and not be driven into the sea.  The inner circle around Israel that seeks it annihilation will have their threats turned back onto them and they will suffer a crushing defeat.  the Israeli army will with God’s help prove victorious and live in a short time of peace, having vanquished their mortal enemies.

The outer circle and the lands from the north and the far north will be dealt with by God with 100 pound hailstone falling upon them and they shall also be devastated and destroyed.  This war will be short with God proving who He is and that His word and His people will always survive and live and prosper in the land given to them many centuries ago.  Praise the Lord!

God is faithful to His Word!  Psalms 138: declares “For you have magnified Your Word above all your name.”  Rh
