If We Forget Our Story, We Lose Our Identity

More than two decades ago, in 2004, Harvard professor Samuel Huntington warned in his book “Who Are We?” that America was facing a crisis of identity. He argued that a nation cannot remain united without a common culture, a common history, and a common understanding of itself. Remove those foundations, and a society inevitably fragments into competing tribes, interests, and identities.

Huntington pointed to the Anglo-Protestant Creed as the core of America’s unifying identity. He argued that America’s political institutions and civic ideals did not arise in a vacuum but were rooted in a culture shaped by Protestant Christianity.

If Huntington identified the foundation of America’s shared identity, educator E.D. Hirsch explained how that identity was transmitted: through a common biblical literacy that provided Americans with a shared vocabulary, history, and moral framework. Without that shared knowledge, the cultural foundations of national identity inevitably begin to erode.

The Founding Fathers were immersed in biblical imagery. Benjamin Franklin famously proposed a national seal depicting Moses at the Red Sea. The Israelites’ exodus taught lessons about liberty, tyranny, divine providence, and national purpose.

The Bible shaped how Americans understood freedom, law, covenant, human dignity, and self-government. Even those who were not orthodox Christians were influenced by the biblical worldview that permeated colonial America.

But what happens when that biblical literacy disappears?

A nation that forgets its story loses its identity. And when a people lose their identity, they become fragmented. That is precisely what Huntington warned about. Americans increasingly identify themselves by race, class, political ideology, or special interest rather than by a common national story.

The consequences of this loss of historical memory extend beyond America’s understanding of itself. They also affect America’s understanding of one of the most important sources of its cultural inheritance: the Jewish people and the biblical story of Israel.

America’s affinity for the Jewish people did not begin with the modern State of Israel. For generations, Americans viewed Jewish history through the lens of Scripture and found in Israel’s story lessons about liberty, covenant, and national purpose.

As biblical literacy declines, Israel is increasingly viewed only through a contemporary political lens, ignoring its biblical and historical foundations. Meanwhile, anti-Semitism has risen across America and the West. Certainly, anti-Semitism has many causes. Yet it is difficult to ignore the connection between a society that no longer understands the Bible and one that increasingly misunderstands the Jewish people whose history fills its pages.

The rise of anti-Semitism and the weakening of support for Israel did not occur overnight. The ground was prepared over decades as biblical literacy declined, historical memory faded, and Americans became disconnected from the sources that once helped them understand both their own identity and the identity of the Jewish people.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, we have an opportunity not merely to commemorate our history but to recover it. We can rediscover the biblical foundations that shaped our nation and strengthen the shared identity Huntington warned was slipping away.

The Bible is not merely a religious text but one of the foundational documents of American civilization. To understand America, one must understand the Bible. And when that understanding is lost, we lose not only part of our history but part of our identity.

Powerful and very timely, we have lost our bearings in America. Too many liberal politicians have wanted to be like Europe. Open borders and a lack of spiritual discernment will eventually make the U.S. a weakened version of itself. We must repent and return to the Almighty. Our Christian values must be reclaimed. Morality must be returned to the public square, as well as the pulpit. We are living on borrowed time, just one bad election and we will be doomed to mediocrity. Rh

           America’s Moral Divide

For decades Americans have debated politics.  But today, the deepest and most divisive divide is on morality itself.  We  used to argue about taxes, foreign policy, or the size of government.  But today it is on moral issues.

A newly released Gallup survey reveals a nation that is not merely disagreeing over politics but increasingly unable to agree on what is right and wrong. The results paint a picture of two Americas operating from entirely different moral frameworks, with Democrats and Republicans often holding views that appear almost irreconcilable.

The numbers are startling.

According to Gallup, 73% of Democrats now view abortion as morally acceptable, compared to just 18% of Republicans.  60% of Dems say changing one’s gender is morally acceptable, while only 5% of Republicans agree.

Notice a trend, Democrats are fleeing from moral constraints while Republicans hold to a more traditional moral equivalency.  81% of Democrats consider gay or lesbian relationships morally acceptable, compared to 35% of Republicans.  47% of Democrats view pornography as morally acceptable versus just 19% of Republicans.  Unbelievable is the stat that over half Democrats consider sex between teenagers morally acceptable, while only a small fraction of Republicans agree.

This is not political disagreements, but a moral view of a nation.  Once we were not only a moral nation, but highly Christian.  Not any more, depravity is rampant throughout America.  My eye witness account of this divide occurred a couple of years ago.  In an extremely red county in a red state, a prominent city allowed a drag Queen in the park show to be allowed.  Many of us spoke against this travesty on two occasions before the city council, but to no avail.

I attempted to have a Faith and Family rally in the same city and the same park later that very year.  I was told that the council was not allowing any large groups in the park due to noise issues.  Funny, it was not an issue just two months before.  And my initial contact with the person in charge of the park saw no problem with the event.  The council quickly passed a noise ordinance, so no Christians need apply.  The county was red politically, but the small city had a democratic majority.  Moral divide exists in America even in small towns.

The divide comes when a nation no longer shares a moral code or outlook.  Democrats and Luciferian leftist wish to transform America into a proverbial Sodom & Gomorrah.  The division is so sharp that only a true move of God will ever get the two factions back together.

America will never be destroyed from a foreign power, but it might be destroyed from within.  That my friends is exactly what is happening in our nation.  Hedonism is the rule of the day in many areas of our country.

Our fight today is not left vs. right, but right vs. wrong.  For Christians, the Gallup findings should not merely be viewed as political data.  They should serve as a spiritual wake-up call.  We as Americans are traveling in two distant and polar opposite moral directions.

Can America survive?  Only if we right our moral division.  That only comes from a shift back to our Judeo-Christian values.  Prayer and repentance is our only recourse.

The American Rebellion Against AI Is Gaining Steam

By Amrith Ramkumar,  Katherine Blunt and Lindsay Ellis

The only thing growing faster than the artificial-intelligence industry may be Americans’ negative feelings about it—as former Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt saw on Friday.

Delivering a commencement address at the University of Arizona, Schmidt told students the “technological transformation” wrought by artificial intelligence will be “larger, faster and more consequential than what came before.” Like some other graduation speakers mentioning AI, Schmidt was met with a chorus of boos.

In one poll after another in recent weeks, respondents have overwhelmingly voiced concerns about AI, a challenge to claims by industry executives that their technology would gain popularity by improving people’s lives.

For full article: The Wall Street Journal

Just recently I read another article that bemoaned the fact that AI would not only wreck havoc with “white” collar jobs, but also “blue” collar jobs as well. My main issue with AI is the fact we don’t fully, maybe we do in some high and mighty circles, understand the rapid growth of the industry. Many who pioneered AI are sounding the alarm. But, it may be too late to put the evil genius back into the bottle. Especially when it has a mind of its own. Rh

Effective Fervent Prayer Avails Much: James 5:16

From William Bradford and the Pilgrims to the Founding Fathers, greatness was understood in the context of the blessing of God; our founding documents reflect this.

Can America recover? If our only hope is in cultural reclamation through the political process, our chances are nil. Our national sickness goes much deeper than politics; our problem is spiritual and the only true solution is also spiritual. The People of God must see through our enemy’s curtain and recognize Satan’s ability to work through mortals to achieve his sinister goals. After all, he is the Father of Lies and the Great Deceiver and can distract people with decoys, and counterfeits as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. We must grasp the nature of our enemy and pray accordingly, not being distracted by illusions and paper tigers. Now is not the time to self-censor and cower to the cultural elites, hoping for better days ahead. We are in a spiritual battle and must see ourselves as the Resistance of our day. We adopt no exit plan. We recognize our enemy’s tactics, expose his lies, and proclaim truth. Although Satan masquerades as an angel of light, once exposed, he runs for cover. Truth sets us free so we run toward the battle and not away from it.

Like the Founding Fathers, the People of God must care enough about their homeland to take action. Prayer is our greatest weapon but only effective when it’s utilized. America will outlast all the great civilizations of the past when she falls to her knees in humility and prayer. These are the tactics that will restore our greatness and bring revival.    Author Unknown

Many times I get deep into the weeds (obsessed) with the state of the world and culture. I am a current events guy, but always with a Biblical context. Today is a most important post. James 5:16-17 gives us a prescription for the chaos and unbelief and outright demonic hatred of the world of today. Sincere fervent prayer! God is still in charge, we do not understand, but He is. We though do have a part to play. WE pray, We intercede and declare the Word of God. That is our job. I cannot change any dirty politician’s vote, but God can. I cannot change our culture. But God can. But what I can do is pray. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man or woman avails much.

The world is ripe for destruction, but also for revival. People are fearful. Many have no clue what will happen next, but Jesus Christ give me peace regardless. We can make a difference. God has moved on me to pray more this year, and I am. We have access into the very throne room of Almighty God, let’s use that privilege. Hebrew 4:16.

America Is Divided By Sin Not Politics

The devil saw my head down and he thought he won, until I said Amen!

There is division in America.  That is a fact, no one can doubt that premise.  However it is not by politics, but by sin. The division comes from two opposing world views.  One is a Biblical worldview and the other is a secular humanist worldview.  That is the  red line in the sand.  Neither side will give in.  I will never compromise my Biblical Moral Worldview.

America has a rich tradition of being a nation built on traditional family values, Judeo-Christian values.  God ordained us to spread the Gospel around the world and we did that by sending missionaries to far off distant counties.  Our mandate came through a prophecy by  Vicar Robert Hunt (1586-1608) the first Anglican chaplain of the Jamestown expedition and is renowned for a 1607 prayer and prophecy dedicating the new American land to God. Upon landing at Cape Henry, Hunt planted a seven-foot cross and “declared a covenant in the Gospel would go forth from that shore to the entire world”.  Furthermore he stated “we should focus on the mandate to raise up Godly generations after us”.

I will say,  we tried.  The United States experienced three or four Great Spiritual Awakenings:

First Great Awakening (1730s–1740s): Led by figures like Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, this period focused on personal conviction, redemption, and a shift away from traditional, formal religion.

Second Great Awakening (1790s–1840s): Characterized by camp meetings and the rise of itinerant preachers like Charles Finney, it resulted in significant church growth and reform movements.

Third Great Awakening (1857–1859): Often called the “Businessmen’s Revival,” this movement began with prayer meetings in New York City during a financial crisis and spread nationwide.

Fourth Great Awakening (Late 1960s–early 1970s): Debated by some, this wave is often linked to the “Jesus Movement” and rapid growth in conservative denominations

What America needs is not a new or reformed political party, but another great Spiritual awakening.  Our government as it is now is a corrupt “ruling class” entity that does whatever it desires.  Two passages in the Bible give us an insight into how the Almighty looks at us.  It’s not a pretty sight.  One thing I know is that God is not mocked, we will reap what we sow.

1 Timothy1:9-10

“knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,”

Take a look again at some phrases:

  • murders; abortion and rage of violence
  • fornicators; our sex craved society
  • sodomites; the entire gender mafia
  • kidnappers; sex slaves
  • liars; our government hides and lies constantly
  • perjurers; truth has fallen in the street

Read Isaiah 59:1-10: hands defiled with blood, feet that run to evil, no justice, lack of truth, and our thoughts are continually on evil and iniquities.

We need an awakening, repentance and a turning from the evil that permeates our society.  The division is caused not by political, but spiritual warfare that divides us more than even a civilian war based on political ideology.  We need intercessors more than candidates.  We need hungry hearts and souls that long after the Lord.  Humility filled with a desire for the things of God.  Turning from evil and pushing into the holy place where God resides.

Unfortunately the majority of the American church is living in a daze of the prosperity gospel, feeling they have need of nothing.  Bills are paid, money in the bank, but all the while Jesus is knocking on the door of our hearts desiring a deeper relationship with His church.

We need the Ekklesia to become the remnant that pursues the holiness of God more than the pleasures of the world.  Jesus is the only solution for a deprived world.  He is our only hope.  The world is on a downward path, the Bible tells us for a fact that a spirit of anti-christ will invade the last days.  We are there now.

Let me be clear, I am not saying we shouldn’t be involved with politics.  We most definitely should.  We as Christian Conservatives vote our Biblical values.  It is our duty and I believe a mandate from the Lord.  Look through the slick commercials and line up your candidate with the Word of God.  What I am saying is this…we need a “Great Awakening” to save this country.

Spiritual warfare is real and we must win the spiritual war first and then the awakening will come.  Lord Jesus raise up holy intercessors in this time..  You were born for such a time as this.

Almost 1 In 5 Children Face Sexual Misconduct By Public School Faculty

Not surprising when just last week congress voted not to abolish the slush fund, that we tax payers funded, that is used to pay off members sexual indiscretions. We need to fire every single congressman and senator that votes this down. Sex is big business and used to bride and trap congress members to vote against the best interest of AmericaI am sickened by this!! Rh

The epidemic of sexual misconduct targeting children in government schools is back in the headlines, and it is even worse than previously known. According to the latest estimates, a shocking 17 percent of students in government schools will be victims of some sort of sexual abuse at the hands of teachers and faculty. That represents about 8 million children.

Perhaps even more alarming than the exploding level of abuse is the fact that teachers’ unions and the political establishment continue protecting the perpetrators, critics and advocates say. Even in conservative states such as Texas, teachers rape and sexually abuse children with impunity, as exposed last year

The fresh estimates come from Charol Shakeshaft, professor emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University. Among her research specialties: “educator sexual misconduct.” Shakeshaft, the leading researcher in the field, has written multiple reports about the issue for the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Justice.

The 17 percent figure comes from Shakeshaft’s 2024 book, “Organizational Betrayal: How Schools Enable Sexual Misconduct and How to Stop It.” Published by Harvard University, the book makes a powerful case that institutional structures and school culture are often complicit in the sexual abuse afflicting so many millions of students.

“What I find is that teachers see things, kids see things, administrators see things, parents see things. And what they see are what I call red flags of possible problems, but certainly what they see are boundary crossings,” explained Shakeshaft in comments about the issue in an interview with Harvard EdCast.

“Teachers are crossing a professional boundary, and they don’t report it. And they don’t report it for lots of reasons,” she continued. “The foremost reason they don’t report it is because they don’t realize they’re supposed to report it. Nobody’s taught them or helped them understand that these are signs that a child might be being targeted for sexual misconduct.”

The Newman Report has been highlighting the systematic sexual abuse of children in government schools for years. Unfortunately, the problem is only growing. The last official data compiled by the U.S. Department of Education over two decades ago showed that about 10 percent of students were victims of sexual misconduct.

That 2004 “Shakeshaft Report,” perhaps the most comprehensive review of the data on sex crimes by educators against children, was based on a survey of existing research at that time. It found that about one in ten children had been victims of sexual misconduct by government school staff.

Today, those numbers are far higher, and little to nothing is being done. In fact, it is becoming increasingly normal for “educators” to justify and normalize sexual contact between adults and children, as The Newman Report has been documenting for years.

Oftentimes, even when teachers are caught, the schools and district authorities simply move the offending faculty member to another school or another district. Experts in the field refer to this as “pass the trash,” and it is becoming more and more widespread, according to those who study the phenomenon.

The figures are back in the news thanks to an explosive interview by investigative journalist Catherine Herridge with attorney John Manly. Speaking on Herridge’s “Straight to the Point” podcast for the Los Angeles Times, Manly described an “epidemic of sexual abuse” in the nation’s government schools that was continuing to destroy lives.

Manly, who represented victims of USA Olympic Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, noted that teacher unions and systematic failure to report the crimes are enabling widespread sexual abuse of children in public schools. He also blasted “passing the trash,” saying predatory teachers were simply being reassigned rather than fired and prosecuted.

“In public education in most states, it’s next to impossible to fire a bad teacher, and typically you don’t fire them,” Manly explained, noting that he has identified over 350 abusers in California’s government schools just based on the cases he has worked on. “They actually pay them to go away, even if they’ve sexually abused children.”

Manly also pointed to “widespread non-reporting” of sexual abuse in schools. In fact, there is no legal requirement for most schools to even notify parents if and when it occurs — much less law enforcement. In Texas and other states, state law specifically allows schools not to report the abuse, leading to countless child rapists still in the classroom.

One especially horrific case mentioned by Manly was an LA district teacher who sexually abused over 100 children before being caught. He was only busted after somebody saw pictures he was developing featuring the horror and reported it to law enforcement. Incredibly, the school district destroyed the records of the abuse, too.

“In the vast majority of cases we [have], the mandatory reporting statute is ignored, and schools investigate it themselves,” he explained. “When institutions or people investigate themselves, my experience is they rarely find themselves guilty.” It is all designed to “conceal the level abuse by school personnel from parents,” Manly added.

Manly, who is working on numerous cases involving sexual abuse of children in school, noted that teachers who do report colleagues often face retaliation from the district. The unions, too, are well aware of the problem, but continue fighting against measures to protect children from abusers.

“The one thing we should be doing is to protect children from this,” Manly said. “There is an epidemic of sexual abuse in the state by teachers, by coaches, by other school employees. What right-thinking person doesn’t want a teacher mandated by law to call the police when a little girl or a little boy is molested? That’s not only stupid policy but it’s frightening.”

Calling for federal investigations and action, Manly also argued that local and state education authorities are part of the problem. “Many administrators and school boards do not look at students as human beings,” he explained on the podcast. “They look at them as funding devices, and it gives me no pleasure to say that.”

The widespread sexual abuse of children in government schools is a symptom of the problem: a godless system that rejects the Word of God altogether. If the indoctrination, dumbing down, and sexualization were not enough to show parents they must protect their children from government schools, perhaps the horror now coming to light will be.

The system itself is beyond abusive. It is time for parents and policymakers to shut it down and protect the children, before millions of new victims are scarred and destroyed for life. The wellbeing of the next generation depends on taking action.

Iran: Head Of the Snake Has Been Cut Off

An old story about a man who found a snake on the top of a mountain range cold and about to die.  The man took the snake into his home and warmed him, after the snake was active he bit the man.  The man was incredulous, why did you do that?  I saved your life.  The snake replied, I am a snake, that’s what I do, you knew what I was when you took me home and warmed me.

The moral of the story is that American Presidents and diplomats have treated Iran and its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah the same way. We infuse life while we forget the danger they permeate.  From Bush to Obama we have given cash and agreed to bad one sided deals with a country that lives off lies and subterfuge. That kind of  behavior only feeds a deadly snake whose head needs to be cut off. Remember the pallets of cash sent to Iran from Obama?  I do.  So all you democrats sit this one out, we are only having to clean up your mess.

Iran is defenseless, air superiority is with the US and Israeli military.  Missiles and drones fired are being intercepted at an amazing success rate.  However the regional partners and some allies of Iran are feeling the rabid dog approach of indiscriminately firing at their country and hoping to cause damage. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and even Cyprus are on high alerts.  Greece is sending air support.  The rabid dog is cornered, and they are still most dangerous when wounded and fighting for their life.

Much more needs to be done, but I feel confident between Trump and Netanyahu it will be finished in Iran and a new government will eventually take over, and hopefully more friendly than what we have seen since 1979.  I remember the debacle  of the Carter administration, another democrat that enabled the radicals.  Only time will tell, but this action had to happen.  A world of Iranian terror networks becoming nuclear could never happen.

All of you so-called American first numbskulls that think America should isolate itself, you aren’t living in the real world.  Evil people exist, and they need a deterrent, and rightly or wrongly that is 🇺🇸 America.

Continued prayer for safety for the military and civilians caught up in this terror of war.  Wisdom for those in charge and a quick end to this operation.  Kudos to those in charge of planning this operation on both sides, Israel and the US.  Awesome job, let’s just make sure we finished it this time.  IMO

Save Act

If we can’t pass the save act, we could lose our Republic, and that is not hyperbole.  The following article makes it clear, now is the time!  Several states including most recently Georgia, have had election issues going back for years. In 2018 I sat in a meeting with a Pastor /mentor who was heavenly involved with emphasizing Biblical values in our elections.  His warning was spot on. He told us that North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Texas were on the radar as targets to flip democratic. I scoffed, but he was so right.  Only allowing legal voters, and doing away with the nonsense of mail in ballots is a must. Rh

‘Ignoring Human Nature’: Using Biblical Reasoning, Rubio Pinpoints Why Globalism Is A Recipe For Disaster – Harbinger’s Daily

Discussing the collapse of communism in Germany, Rubio warned that the celebration of this success in the West quickly morphed into an ill-conceived fantasy about the future of nations.
