Midterm elections here in the United States are just around the corner. They are less than three weeks away. I believe that the Republicans will win the house back easily with a large substantial margin of victory, the Senate will also be turned over into the hands of Republicans. My biggest fear, which is always my fear with the Republican leadership, is do they have the stomach or the gonads to stand up against the democratic party. Too often McConnell and McCarthy have a tendency to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory. If only we had people of character in the leader ship of the republican party we might actually change this nation back to a moral compass of which it was founded on. Too often we have a uni party in the United States. All politicians want the same thing, our money, our constitutional authority and a way to control the people.

Do I really think anything will change after this election? No not really. Of course there will be changes and it will be a better place to live and gas prices will eventually come down and the 401(k)s will eventually go up. But the course of this once great sovereign country is on the down trend. We need true conservative moral leadership and unless the swamp or the ruling class creatures in Washington DC are defeated and gone, we will never really change. Do I sound defeated, maybe, but possibly a spark of the true American spirit lives on.

Air Force warplanes intercept a pair of Russian bombers near Alaska

Two Air Force warplanes intercepted a pair of Russian bombers flying in international airspace near Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said Tuesday. 

NORAD said it “detected, tracked, positively identified and intercepted” the two Russian Tu-95 Bear-H bombers “entering and operating within the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).” They were intercepted by a pair of F-16 fighter jets.

“The recent Russian activity in the North American ADIZ is not seen as a threat nor is the activity seen as provocative,” NORAD said in a statement.

Chase Bank Cancels Nonprofit’s Bank Account: ‘Religious Freedom Is Under Attack by Corporate America’

A former United States ambassador for religious freedom says Chase Bank abruptly closed an account associated with his nonpartisan, faith-based nonprofit organization with little explanation.

The National Committee for Religious Freedom (NCRF), a 501(c)4 political action nonprofit, opened an account with Chase in April. 

According to Sam Brownback, the group’s chairman and the former U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom under the Trump administration, the bank decided to “end their relationship” with NCRF and close the account after only three weeks. 

“We were surprised at being canceled by Chase,” Brownback wrote in an op-ed published in the Washington Examiner. When our executive director called to see if this was an error, he was informed that ‘a note in the file read that Chase employees were not permitted to provide any further clarifying information to the customer.'”

A sex sting operation in Florida resulted in 160 arrests during a week-long human trafficking operation, including a Georgia deputy police chief, a correctional officer, two high school teachers, and a Disney employee.  

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced during a press conference Friday that the seven-day undercover operation, “Operation Fall Haul 2,” uncovered two trafficking victims. It also identified another five possible victims during the operation that began on Aug. 30. 

According to the sheriff’s office, those who traveled to engage in prostitution were screened by detectives and social services organizations to determine if they were being trafficked or exploited by others. A follow-up will be conducted with those victims who are suspected to be sex trafficked or exploited.

“The online prostitution industry enables traffickers and allows for the continued victimization of those who are being trafficked,” Sheriff Grady Judd said at a news conference. “Our goal is to identify victims, offer them help, and arrest those who are fueling the exploitation of human beings (Johns) and those profiting from the exploitation of human beings.”

“Prostitution is not a victimless crime,” Judd added. “It results in exploitation, disease, dysfunction, drug and alcohol addiction, violence, and broken families.”

Politics or Religion

The answer is both. We as Christians are called out into the world. We are salt and light. When Christians sit in the church and say politics is too dirty, I don’t want to get involved, I’m just going to stay in my four walls and pray, God will do the rest. They are missing the main point of Christianity. God wants a partnership with humanity, he wants to use us as salt and light to tear down the strongholds of evil and plant the flag of freedom and liberty to all people.

Some churches are waking up, they realize that we have sat around and allowed evil to overcome good. If the gates of Hell, according Matthew 16, shall not prevail against the church, then why are we sitting around doing nothing. We have misunderstood the meaning of that verse. That verse means the Church will be coming against evil. Evil will not prevail as we make advancements and take our rightful place in this world.

We should rule and reign with Christ even now in the spiritual world. We have been given the authority of Christ. We are to go out and fight to reclaim our heritage as a Christian nation.

Every day, and just yesterday I had someone tell me the same thing that I hear over and over. We are in a spiritual fight for this country. So very true! I don’t know about you but I plan on winning this battle. rh
