Maybe while we are sheltered in place, or should I say told by government officials to not leave our house, we should read more of how governments take control of our lives through fear.

Yes there is a virus, yes people die, but is the cure worse?  Over 20 million lost jobs, billions lost by hard wording people who invested in the market for retirement through 401k funds, small business nearing bankruptcy and the abnormal fear which is killing this country.  All for what, recent studies have shown over 80% of those with the virus either have no symptoms or very light issues and don’t even seek medical attention.  On top of that what if millions more have had the virus, which I believe I did in late December, that alone would drop the mortality rate well below the flu.  It’s time to end this.  Outside of some hot spots, re opening the country is the sane thing to do.

 

Inflated Numbers

So I was watching the Trump news conference day before yesterday.  The President said 200,000 people could die from the virus in the next 14 days.  We get immune to hearing numbers on T.V.  Ok so here goes, that would be 14,285 per day.  Yeah you heard that right.  Ok let’s spread it out for 30 days, 6,666 per day.

That  will be hard to  do when most people who even get the virus have little or no symptoms.. I fear our President has been given bad info.  I ran numbers the other day on Florida.  Mortality rate was at 0.0121.  That is a state which has a lot of visitors from other states as well as foreign visitors.

Just to follow up. ” Dr. Birx using New York as the baseline for the 200,000 deaths model despite the fact New York accounts for only 6% of the US population but 46% of COVID-19 deaths.” @mitchellvii from twitter.

Vote Biblical Values

With all this virus chaos going on, let’s not forget that we will be electing a president this November.  Not only that but 435 Congressman and 1/3 of the Senate. In my opinion they mostly all need to be gone, at least a majority.  In the coming weeks I’ll give my thoughts on  how to vote and what values are important.  As a Christian it will come as no surprise I think we need Biblical values represented in government.  Local elections may even be more important.  Remember if you don’t vote, someone else will determine your values and your future.

Stock Market

During this whole crisis of the China flu, I have been most concerned for the dramatic drop in the market.  People have lost lots of their retirement money.  Myself and my wife included.  This might seem to be a callous thought, but we do all we can to be safe with our health.  Sanitize and distance ourselves and eat healthy etc.  We do that and fell safe, at least that we have done all we can.  Put the rest in God’s hand and go on.  But this market is destroying peoples lives.  I’m too old to wait long for the market to rebound.  My thoughts were that sometime during the next 4 years we were getting out and putting our money in a safe place.  Sooner rather than later.  But now… lots of baby boomers, especially those of us who are younger than most boomer are in a bad situation.

We will survive,  not what we planned but ok.  God will provide and we are good, but some will be devastated.  In the back of my mind I still have this nagging thought that none of this should or needed to have happened.  Is this really that bad to need draconian measures?  Only time will tell.

Be safe everyone.  Trust in the Lord.  We will survive.

Wuhan Virus

Patriots this is not a mad virus seeking whom it may devour.  This is a virus that we need to be aware of but not fear.  This unbelievable fear is being promoted mostly by the MSM.  People of advanced age with underlining issues are most vulnerable.  This is not an epidemic, is is of concern though.  Be safe and treat this like a flu outbreak.

This has been weaponized to hurt our President and to destroy our economy.  Now is the time to show strength and buy into the market.  It will rebound, all the economic indicators are fantastic.  This will pass.  We bought some stocks on Friday morning and have money.  Stay strong Patriots!  We are WINNING!!

IT’S NOT TOO SOON

The 2020 election is over a year away, but it is not too soon to be thinking about the ramifications of this milestone election year. We are in a fight for the soul of America. A fight we must win and hopefully win big to stop the haters. As with most elections this one, according to experts in the know, will come down to Florida. We must do a better job of registering new voters and educating all voters to the great strides made by the Trump administration. Due to the new felon voter law in Florida, that gives a pathway for felons to regain their right to vote, we must be more diligent to get the vote out. Take nothing for granted. The left never stops the relentless attack against conservative ideas. I plan on focusing on voter registration, moral issues in the state, and economic issues on the national stage. Vote faith, family, freedom. Get active, make a difference for America. VOTE YOUR VALUES! God Bless.
